Gorgeous place with amazing food

Warm cozy atmosphere on a windy rainy day. Staff were very nice and accommodating for us coming in with a stroller and baby. Food was also very good and affordably priced

We came here for breakfast and it was fantastic. A nice selection on the breakfast menu at great prices. I had the french toast and it was a large portion! The café has a nice vibe and quality chairs.

I visited before and loved the food. Sadly not this time. I had a soup and opted for the vegetarian option - I think it was roast vegetable and red pepper. Not sure this soup had ever seen a vegetable. So watery and no vegetables in sight apart from some chives sprinkled on the top. A cup a soup would have been more exciting. Service was good and I wish I had complained at the time. Voting with my feet and I won’t be back.

I had a pretty good chicken Parm and glass of wine and a phenomenal baklava here. Staff are lovely.

Delicious fish and chips! The batter was perfectly crispy, and the fish was fresh. Chips were golden and cooked just right. Highly recommend!

Were invited in by friendly people to join an evening of music and song by local folks. Wonderful atmosphere.

I was unfortunately disappointed by my experience here. I was really looking forward to trying the Turkish cuisine but it was a fairly tasteless kebab (served with unusual tasting quinoa not rice, as advertised). The service was quite quick however one of the waitresses looked like she would rather be elsewhere, barely forcing a smile the whole time we were there which was a little off putting to say the least. Such a shame as this experience has put me off going back. In response to the owners extremely inaccurate and untrue reply, I would just like to clarify that I absolutely was not rude to any member of staff in this establishment. I live locally and I have always supported all good local businesses. It’s extremely disappointing that you can no longer leave a constructive review about the quality of food and service without the ‘owner’ hitting back with a blatant lie. Noted!

Had a fabulous lunch here last week! Staff were lovely, the menu was varied and well priced, and the atmosphere was good. I had the chicken parmigiana which was delicious and my boyfriend had the steak sandwich, we scoffed the lot! They also had a cinnamon traybake which was outstanding. Would definitely recommend and go back.

The food is very delicious, and the sweet Turkish baklava with ice cream was very delicious. The restaurant is Turkish and its location is beautiful.

We were there at 8 p.m on a Friday evening hardly anyone eating its a pity because the food was good.

Just popped in for a coffee and scone. Staff very attentive. This is first time used since converted from Corrie's. Menu looked superb. Will definitely be back to try menu. Very well designed restaurant with superb features. Mavi used today for lunch. Fish finger sandwich and Greek Salad. Both dishes superb. Both tasted wonderful. Salad extremely fresh. The food was a let down, over cooked rice and frozen chicken i'm sure, it didn't seem fresh and it was so dry, for the price i expected better quality. The staff here were lovely and very accommodating, but I wouldn't eat here again.

Absolutely terrific! We were lucky they could accommodate 9 as this was one of the best meals I've had in ages. Large varied menu had me concerned initially but the food was absolutely amazing. I'm a sucker for a shawarma and it didn't disappoint. The stuffed aubergine was delicious and the best baclava I've ever tasted. Who knew a battered Mars bar was so good? Terrific mix of Scottish and Turkish. Highly recommend, I like to try different place but would deffo visit there again if in Balloch.

Food was cold, but didnt complain as had to catch the ferry but that wasn’t so much the issue as the fact that I got food poisoning for 5 days after!!

I recently dined at an incredible restaurant with a fantastic atmosphere. The ambiance was inviting and added to the overall experience. I decided to have the Ribeye steak, and it surpassed my expectations with its excellent flavor and tenderness. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delightful dining experience.

Nice place with decent food and many vegetarian options

Exceptional food!!! As someone who eats out a lot, this is one of the best places I have ever been!! The food was 10/10, had a haggis pakoras and my partner who doesn’t eat haggis loved them. Highly recommend this place and something that shouldn’t be missed when visiting here.

Food was okay, not the best. Servers never checked in us after bringing entrees out. Never even had our drinks refilled after first getting them.

Me and my partner came here 2 weeks ago and were blown away by the food. I came back the week after with my daughter and was not disappointed. Our new fave place, interior is amazing, staff are lovely, food is perfection, what more can you ask for.

We got turned away from the Balloch House down the street, so ended up here by recommendation from a local we met at the park nearby. The food was delicious (we had a meat pie and pasta/meatballs).

Visited here for dinner after reading (mostly) good reviews. Chicken shawarma was barbecued chicken in a wrap - nowhere near authentic. King prawn tacos were nothing to write home about. I would agree with another reviewer who stated it was basically fast food. Could make much better at home. Staff were friendly and efficient. Decor was pleasant.

Very tasty breakfast and great cappuccino! There are vegan and vegetarian options, as well as plant milk for the coffee. The service was good and the furnishings were modern and comfortable.

We went for an early dinner on a Saturday night. The restaurant was lovely and the staff were all charming and very accommodating. All three of us had steak and all of us really, really enjoyed it. Everything was delicious and beautifully-made. We were in Scotland on holiday and wished we knew about Mavi earlier so we could've gone again for morning coffee and cake and for Sunday lunch. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area.

A lovely find! We booked for my birthday after a recommendation from the place we were staying and it did not disappoint. There was one slight mistake with my meal which was very quickly dealt with, not only this but the price was taken off our bill as an apology. We had two lovely waitresses, I didn’t manage to get the other girls name who was very lovely and attentive. Kirsty was brilliant; very attentive, fun, helpful and friendly. The restaurant itself was really inviting and very clean. Food was absolutely beautiful, so tasty and fresh and the strawberry daiquiri was lush! Would really recommend.

I don't know how this place gets such good reviews, it's just a better fast food restaurant.

I visited the restaurant at breakfast time Their reception is very nice, the atmosphere is wonderful, the breakfast options are many, and their prices are very special I recommend visiting them

We were unsure of this restaurant at first when looking at the building. How wrong can false perceptions be, as from entering the establishment to leaving we had a fabulous time with great food. The waitress and owner were very helpful and the drinks order arrived promptly. Whilst the restaurant caters for a variety of cuisines, we both went for Turkish dishes. The msrinated chicken shish kebab which tasted great. Also the mince stuffed grilled aubergine went down well.. The other added bonus is that on a Monday evening, a local amateur folk music group (or club) use this venue as their meeting place - thus we were welcomed in and able to stay to listen to their music and singing, which made for a entertaining evening. (Please don't take this as them being expert musicians, as many would have got the red X on BGT) If we are back in Balloch next year, this will be on the list to return to on a Monday evening.

We initially came here just for desserts which turned out absolutely amazing! The cheesecake was rich & the raspberry sauce was nice and tart. The Victoria sponge cake was also moist & crumbly. We then decided to have our dinner there too, and the food portions were generous. As a first-timer trying Haggis, the Haggis pakora was a good introduction. Not too oily, fried nicely & came with a refreshing dip on the side. Will recommend for anyone coming to visit Loch Lomond for a day trip! Didn’t manage to try their breakfast items but my friend said their pancakes were really good :)

Great breakfast (seniors for £6.95). Prompt and friendly service. Free parking across the road. Perfect for a stop on the way to the north.

Great atmosphere. Great service. Ribeye was a bit dry, should have tried some of the sauces. Onion rings had a good spicy flavor. Add on of king prawns was not worth it. Still overall a great dinner right near the lake and park.

Visited at the weekend, great service, friendly staff. I had Korean sticky chicken starter, was really tasty, would definitely order this again. I also had the cajun chicken enchilada. Tasted amazing, very generous portion. Prices were very reasonable. Looking forward to returning.

Here you can get delicious, fresh and varied food from breakfast to dinner. Large portions and wonderful service. Very nice team.

Was not sure about this place as the name suggests a cafe but the menu suggests a restaurant We gave it a shot! There was a large party in so it was very noisy but pleasant all the same I had the pie of the day(steak) it was delish! Partner had the lamb and he said was good Atmosphere was loud but ok Staff were excellent and very happy albeit busy! Toilets were clean and nice. Overall a lovely place to eat and I would recommend

Have been a few times but always absolutely delicious! Went on Saturday for my sisters birthday and the meal was amazing. Highly recommend chicken shish kebab, so good & very filling. Also had homemade raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake was very tasty! Lovely restaurant in a great location. Parking just across the road. Kids menu available. Good selection of drinks available too. Staff very attentive & friendly. Definitely be back. Highly recommend for a great meal & service

We managed to secure a last minute table for two people when our original restaurant in Balloch had a one hour wait. We are so glad the first restaurant couldn't accommodate us! The food, service and atmosphere were excellent. We will definitely return. 😊👍

Second time eating here and I have been impressed both times. Tasty, freshly cooked dishes, good selection on the menu and service is very friendly and well paced. Definitely recommended if you are looking for a place to eat in Balloch.

One of the best full Scottish (or English) breakfasts I've had. This place is a grill house and it showed, all the meats were cooked to perfection and every part of the cooked breakfast was very tasty! Really had a wonderful time eating here (breakfasts currently served until midday).

Denis and Clare the rutherglen pair call in today (wednesday 17th April) We didn't realise it changed over to the new owner Mavi because the last time we came it was called Corrie's And what a big difference it is it is nice and bright and different seating situation much better than the last owner (sorry but it is true) clean and airy toilets good food and service and staff Would recommend who used to go to Corrie's must come back and see the New restaurant yours truly Denis and Clare the rutherglen pair.

Lovely food in very nice surroundings. We were heading up to Lochgoilhead on a drizzly Friday night and needed a quick dinner stop on the way up. Mavi is a real find - we shared a meze platter for two and it was delicious. Highly recommend!

Visited Mavi this weekend and can't say anything other than great food and service. Visited for dinner which was absolutely lovely. Very good quality and great portion size, very authentic and good value. We went back the following morning for breakfast which was equally as good. Staff had no issues with my order which was slightly off menu, very attentive. You can tell the staff care about the customer, make you very welcome and you are very well looked after. Our first visit and will definitely be booking up again.

I have said this before but OMG the steak pie from Mavi is amazing!!! Cooked to absolute perfection, i drive 40mins just to come here for the steak pie 😊 the portion is a great size aswell! Always a great welcome when we go here and the staff are just lovely. Nice and clean and a great atmosphere!!! Can't wait for my next visit! 😁

Would highly recommend, best restaurant in the area by far. We popped in over burns weekend and the food was out of this world. I had the venison and my friend had the chicken supreme . The place was beautiful and clean. The two girls who were working were so happy, smiling and so helpful and welcoming. Our meal was excellent so was our dessert and drinks. Never made a review but felt this was a worth while one. Very reasonable priced for what we got.

Have eaten here a few times and the food and service is always amazing. Would definitely recommend the steak pie. My daughter was in with her friends recently one of whom is a chef from Australia and she thought the food was fantastic.

We’ve been coming for a week long break over New Year for about 15 years with four other families and we have our favourite places to visit - unfortunately some of them didn’t make it through the lockdowns and we’re now trying new places - Mavi is a fantastic addition to our list after a visit this year! We had a table of fifteen and a high chair - there was no requirement for a pre-order or a deposit on 2nd January (usually a given with our large group bookings at this time of year) there were delicious Turkish starters and main courses all delivered seamlessly over the evening and the staff were amazing! We will see you again next year from some new Aberdeen fans!

One of the best restaurants in Balloch really. Despite only being open for a few months, Mavi has built a reputation for itself with locals and tourists alike. I went for the Steak Sandwich with a side of fries and Cajun Sauce. The cajun sauce...

Great atmosphere and staff. Lots of choice on the wide ranging menu - chicken shish kebab is my favourite lots of good quality chicken and a selection of pickled veg, delicious rice and bread. Cant wait to visit again soon.
