We had a fantastic evening last night at Papavero. We were a sizeable group. Greg and his team couldn’t have been more accommodating. The food was excellent, the service superb and they were very patient when we sat on. Thank you for a terrific evening!

Wow - cold outside and of my world how wonderful - we had the venison steam smoked salmon pate fish & chip Thai spring rolls. Absolutely fantastic. Really lovely food and friendly welcome and we had a dog - nothing was too much trouble and the Merlot from Romanian yes Romania was superb. If you have some time in Killin come here for food. Def recommend x

A little gem of a restaurant, the food is nicely presented, but the emphasis is on taste rather than just on presentation. The menu is small, but excellently prepared, the fish fresh, the venison beautifully cooked, the deserts delicious. And the service is friendly and personal, I couldn’t ask for more from a restaurant, I just wish it was a bit closer to home 🤣

My friend and I visited this restaurant and were disappointed. We ordered a starter which, when it arrived, was not what was advertised on the menu. We ate it but mentioned to the waiter that it was not what we had expected. He walked away as my friend was saying this to him but did begrudgingly apologise before disappearing. However, although he reappeared, he did not come back to the table to ask us if we wished to have anything else and we waited for at least 30 minutes before we decided we would just go. There was nobody else in the restaurant so it certainly wasnt because it was busy. Wouldnt go back.

We fancied a Scottish breakfast but reasonably priced and Cafe Wander was spot on. Friendly service and no-fuss good breakfast food. There is the option to create your own breakfast roll and the vegetarian breakfast was cracking. I had the full Scottish for £8.95 including toast and couldn’t finish it, but also couldn’t eat anything else until well into the afternoon! Can get busy so be prepared to wait but service is very efficient so you won’t have to wait too long. Great find!

Although the Drymen Inn is also a hotel, the bar is very much a pub bar, and I mean that as a huge compliment. Having gone for our first pint in the Buchanan, which is decidedly a hotel bar, it felt so refreshing to come here. The bar is spacious and has attractive stone walls. They have avoided going for the clichéd Scottish tourist decor however, which is good, and the style and atmosphere here is of a good local bar. Add good country music on stream, a top pint of Tennents and great service and it was a lovely evening.
