Lovely little place - felt authentic & great food/wine We had 4 gins and 2 tonics. A bottle of Albariño that was served at the correct temperature and tasted amazing. We shared a meat sharing starter with lovely tomato bread and olives. I had cod with a’oli gratin - veggies and potatoes - lovely tasty dish. Hubby had venison stew and amazing home made bread with butter. We then had a lovely cheesecake and chocolate dessert. 1 espresso A tad expensive at £141 but enjoyed it 😋

Leckeres Essen, ungezwungene Atmosphäre, etwas spanisch angehaucht, freundlicher Gastgeber und in der Küche macht die Gastgeberin lächelnd das Essen, schnell effektiv und ganz ruhige Teamarbeit. Auf jeden Fall ausprobieren!

Stopped in here to order some food to takeaway last night. I was shocked to see that a lasagne cost £19.95 but ordered this in the hopes that it would be a decent sized portion and really good. It was absolutely awful. Having worked in restaurants for many years, I would be ashamed to serve this up. Not only was it a really small portion, about 4x4inches, it was dry and basically just looked like plain cooked pasta sheets with mince in the middle and a little bit of orange cheese. Had we eaten in then I would definitely have said something to management or returned the meal. The lasagne came with a side of chips which were served in a plastic tub, meaning that they were soggy upon opening. I know that the prices of food has gone up but to charge almost £20 for this was ridiculous. We also got ribs which cost the same as the pasta and other than tasting slightly powdery due to the spices used, weren't too bad.

As a part of our small group tour, we ate at the Harbour Restaurant on two consecutive nights. We would've happily eaten there every night of our whole trip! The food was fantastic!!! We started with delicious mussels, in a salsa verde sauce. Our entrees ranged from a vegan Shepherd's Pie to venison stew and all were raved about. The quantities were large and the flavor was just incredible. The icing on the cake was my favorite dessert: Balsamic Vinegar Ice Cream with a Strawberry Sauce. It will visit me in my dreams! Thank you for a wonderful couple of meals!! I know it couldn't have been easy, turning out 17 meals at once, but you guys were awesome and the food was the best of the entire 10 day tour! Hope to be back some day!

This very disappointing. We ate in the Harbour Restaurant on a Saturday night but that was awful: rather cramped, the service wasn't very good (I think they were short staffed but that's not really a good excuse) and the food was pretty poor. One of our friends quite enjoyed his rabbit, but we had two very dried up lasagnes and the so-called "Spanish bean stew” was a tin of butterbeans with three small pieces of overcooked carrot and a little bit of courgette. No flavourings of any sort and not at all Spanish! It wasn't cheap either. I need to use a wheelchair which meant that getting in and out of my seat was difficult. When I booked, they warned us that they do not have an accessible toilet – the loser up some stairs – but that wasn't likely to be a problem. I understand that they may have been having problems that night and it might be alright on other occasions. But I don't know, so be warned.

We visited on a rainy midweek evening in June. Unfortunately, we were directly next to the door and a steady stream of customers kept leaving it open, causing a cold draught. Most of these were people trying to get a table, ignoring the sign on the door stating that they were full! The waiter was constantly distracted by these people, so one drink order was forgotten completely (we weren’t charged). Having said that, the food was excellent, and the service was generally friendly and timely. They have a good selection of alcohol free beers if you’re driving, but a similar cider would be a good addition to the menu.

The town has limited restaurant choices, so we gave it a try. Family run business. Food didn’t taste as fresh as you might expect and was fairly dry, over cooked. The owner would do well by being a bit friendlier towards patrons.

My wife and I had a fantastic dinner yesterday at the Harbor Restaurant in Broadford. I had Scottish filet with mushroom sauce and an assortment of vegetables on the side, my wife had lamb with apricots and prunes. Both meals were flavorful and original in taste. My steak was cooked as I requested: medium rare. Portions sated us both. For dessert we enjoyed a special: an apple tart with salted caramel ice cream. Delicious! The restaurant is run by a husband-and-wife duo. The husband waited the tables; the wife made and served the meals. Two energetic people who clearly take pride in their work! Both took the time to check on us regularly. The restaurant is a single room with seating for around twenty, so an intimate experience. If you are seated next to a window you will get cropped views of the harbor and hills beyond. Several parties looking for tables arrived while we were dining, but were turned away because but the restaurant runs a limited schedule and was full for the night – so best to make a reservation.

Location, a road! No view but good art work inside. Rustic Spanish pub food for a very high end price. The food was nice. The fish soup good. But price, too high! Basically, £18 for mussels and a very small portion. £27 for fillet steak, which was nice but not a lot with it and not the leanest of cuts. The best thing was the venison meatballs. Otherwise the meal and wine list felt ‘average’. Not a ‘must visit’ or ‘return too’ experience.

El mejor restaurante de Broadford. Fuimos 2 veces y en ambas comimos fenomenal. Las albóndigas de ciervo exquisitas y nos preparó un arroz negro que ya lo quisiéramos en muchos sitios de España. Además Cristina es un encanto.

Beautiful simple home cooked food which will leave you feeling happy. We visited The Harbour on Monday. This place is an utter gem. They are very popular and could have filled the place twice over. The owners work so hard so deliver such a beautiful menu. You will not go wrong if you manage to book in here.

We were hoping to eat local to Portree but couldn’t get booked so elected to travel to Broadford instead and am so glad we did. Murdo (front of house) and Cristina (chef) made us feel at home in their little establishment where you’ll discover a little bit of authentic Spanish cooking fused with a Scottish twist in the beautiful surrounds of stunning Skye. The arroz negro con aioli (black rice with squid ink) for starter was stunning as was the mejillones a la Catalonia (mussels in a salsa verde). But the mains were the stars of the show with both the conejo al ajillo (classic rabbit sautéed in garlic) and the albondigas de ciervo de la abuela (Cristina’s grandmas venison meatballs) being to die for. Pre-booking is essential and they don’t serve a kids menu - but luckily our 9 year old is very adventurous and enjoyed it every bit as much as we did. Such a shame they’re moving on to pastures new - make sure you book to go there before they do.

Finally made it as local residents and it was absolutely fantastic! The service was so friendly and attentive but the real star is the food! The chef came out during our meal to ask how it was and I thought that was lovely and personal. We enjoyed 2 courses each and a delicious bottle of house white wine. One of the most reasonable priced restaurants on the island.

Ate here twice. Pre-booking essential. Tonight's fish soup followed by slow cooked roast leg of lamb in prunes and apricots was exceptionally tasty. Meat balls (venison) on an earlier evening were pretty good too. Difficult to recall better-tasting food anywhere else over the past 20 or so years. A refreshingly different and varied menu with a Spanish slant but still quite simple, traditionally presented food without the fancy stuff. Very reasonably priced by today's standards, decently quick, friendly and efficient service.

A warm welcome greeted us at The Harbour restaurant from Murdo and his charming Spanish partner (I m so sorry we did not get this lovely lady’s name). The restaurant is small, beautifully authentic with a buzzy atmosphere. The food has a Spanish twist and is both delicious and robust. The overall experience was a great start to our visit to Skye. Highly recommend a pre-booked visit.

Very much enjoyed our visit to the Harbour Restaurant, Broadford. Fresh ingredients good cooking and some authentic Spanish flavours. The restaurant is quite small but that makes for a cosy atmosphere.

The menu was very Mediterranean but using local produce. A must visit when on Skye. The wine choice on the menu matched the food on offer without excessive prices. It’s not a Michelin starred restaurant but serves beautiful food in a very convivial setting.

Food nice but not amazing and pricey for what it was. My husbands starter was a seafood mix which was a bit tough, small and possibly frozen which was disappointing when you are next to the coast. Both mains were cooked well but had very limited veg - one just had peas. Clean and tidy and pleasant staff.

Small spanish restaurant on the main Street in Broadford opposite the Dunollie Hotel. Lovely ambience and great food. We had squid, croquettes, bean stew and chicken wings all delicious. Not cheap but worth a visit.

Really enjoyed this restaurant where Spanish cuisine meets Scottish seafood. The octopus starter was brilliant as was the pre-ordered paella. The pancake desert was also good. The restaurant is run entirely by a very friendly husband and wife team. Worth the 1km walk from our campsite.

Myself (vegan) and partner enjoyed a lovely meal here. We shared the courgette carpaccio (ok but a bit expensive for what it was), then I had the vegan spanish bean stew which was just lovely, light but very tasty. My partner also enjoyed the mussel dish. We then shared the delicious vegan dessert of roast apples, with caramalized nuts in a butternut squash and red wine reduction sauce, this was just scrumptious. The restaurant itself is quite plain, little candles on the tables would add a bit of atmosphere. The restaurant is all set up for Covid-19. Its not easy to work with masks on but I thought the manager was very nice and helpful. The food is rustic and simple without frills (ie I had to ask for a hunk of bread with the stew), but I would not hesitate to eat here again.

Our most expensive meal of the week we spent touring Scotland. We had a better meal in Oban for just over half the price. The food was good, and the chef nice, but the starters, the steak, lamb etc all too expensive for the quality.The guy looking after the place was lacking in personality, adding to the less than warm feel about the place. This is all during lockdown of course but other restaurants we visited managed warmth and friendliness alot better. So very disappointing when taking the price into account

I would love to be able to write about the excellent food that I experienced at the harbour restaurant. However, I can’t do this because on attempting to enquire about a table the proprietor shouted NO in my face and then slammed the restaurant door in my face as if I was attempting to find refuge on Christmas Eve in 1st century Bethlehem. The manager demonstrated the worst customer service I have ever experience. Would recommend the hotel across the road who were accommodating, helpful with tasty food and efficient service!

Booked dinner for 2 on the 18th August 2020. For starters I ordered Mussels Catalana.It was lovely with a good flavor of red pepper garlic onion and tomato.I then ordered Chicken wings with lemon pepper and tarter sauce. Im sure the chicken died of old age along with osteoarthritis as it was so dry and parts of the wings had been cremated. There was no flavor at all to this dish. Very strange that with this dish came roast potatoes. No it was not a Sunday Lunch. I did mention this to the staff, but it fell on very deaf ears.

Looking for a holiday dinner out, we took a chance and booked here. Turned out to be an excellent choice. Friendly and welcoming in these tricky times. Best of all, the food is great. Spanish chef does a great fusion food performance. Would be happy to go again.

WOW! The food here is simply amazing! The service from Murdo and his partner was first class. They were very accommodating for our 8 month old too.The food was so good, we came back the next night - pre ordering the Paella - and with the locally caught shrimp, squid and muscles, it was simply phenomenal.Highly recommend this wonderful little restaurant

My partner and I ate here and were very impressed with the food. We especially enjoyed how unique the menu was - we had the lamb and rabbit which were cooked to perfection. The service was also very welcoming and the restaurant had a good atmosphere and nice views of the sea.

Went here on a Wednesday evening for dinner with family. After reading so many good reviews about this restaurant I was very excited to see what they had to offer. Service was absolutely fantastic and they were very friendly which was a nice touch. Starters were a mix between Spanish tapas and Scottish cuisine. Dishes included the platter, octopus and croquettes which were all amazing and authentic. For mains, dishes ranged from slow cooked lamb, Bacalao cod and rabbit. All dishes were superb so we had to have desert.For desert, I had the serrenada, and other dishes include the apple tart tartin and the cheese bird. The apple desert was amazing, the other two were also very good. I would definitely go back to this restaurant, it was superb. Amazing experience.

Harbour Restaurant ist erst einmal irreführend…aber ja das Essen passt zum Titel. Unser B&B hat uns das Restaurant empfohlen – und glücklicherweise haben wir den letzten Tisch ergattert. Unbedingt reservieren! Klasse Service, Auswahl (auch mal etwas anderes, Rezepte von Oma/Mama) und sehr lecker. Jedes Gericht (Vorspeise, Haupt- und Nachspeise) war top. Gehobene Preise, aber meines Erachtens wert.

Das Restaurant wurde uns von unseren Gastgebern empfohlen und es hat sich wirklich gelohnt. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Die Portionen sind vielleicht etwas kleiner, dafür lohnt es sich noch Platz für einen Dessert zu haben. Für manche ist das Restaurant etwas teurer, für uns hat aber das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis absolut gestimmt. Eine Reservation ist empfehlenswert, das Restaurant war voll.
