We were so glad we stopped here for lunch. Excellent food, efficient staff, attractive dining room and really tasty food. A little pricey, but so worth it, as the quality was first class, the dining room was splendid (the interior of the hotel we saw was also really attractive) and the view over the loch was fabulous, even on an overcast and misty day. Recommended.

An excellent address without a doubt! The setting is very pretty (and yet we were unlucky because the weather was deplorable), the warm welcome and the tasty cuisine. We chose a haggis and a chicken curry, both excellent, with a special mention for the whiskey sauce accompanying the haggis, divine! As we didn't have much room left, we had dessert for 2 and chose the Scottish pudding, a treat!

The smoked haddock soup, beef stew, Scottish bread pudding and masala tea were all excellent if a little overpriced. The udon was very salty and wet, totally inedible in my book. Keep yo Scottish and indian food on the menu. The view was gorgeous. Enjoy!

We went for breakfast at 8:50 am (kitchens closed at 9:30 and it was a buffet). we go in to check if there is availability. Half the tables are empty and it’s pouring rain outside. We ask if it’s ok to have breakfast, we have a dog and 5 people total. The lady at the reception first asks if we were staying with them, and when we said no she started grimacing and said she would check. She went away for a bit, said there’s space at the bar if we wanted to eat but dogs are not allowed in the bar. We said we can split so 2 people can eat at the restaurant with the dog and the rest of us can sit at the bar. She went away again and she comes back with some other lady and says there’s no dog friendly table. The restaurant is listed as pet friendly and the place was basically empty save one big table.

The location is very beautiful, the food pleasant, shame about the lack of empathy from the staff. Feeling uncomfortable when you are a guest is not nice. I would revisit the concept of caring for customer relationships. Please put placemats on the tables, the plates remain stuck to the wooden table, not a nice feeling..

We booked our evening out here months ago as part of a trip to the area. It’s expensive but we felt the view and experience would be worth it. We asked for a front view table. We arrived and were shown to a table, it wasn’t front view and we asked to move three times. We were told it wasn’t possible as the tables left at the front were for three people. Ok we thought a bit disappointing but unfortunate. We then sat and watched two tables of two sat on the front view after us. We felt upset and ignored and with a bill of 90.00 for two drinks, one starter and two mains we expected more from the experience. We tried to explain on leaving why we were upset and were offered new excuses and nothing to make us feel any better. An apology would have been appreciated as a minimum. We paid our bill and left but didn’t pay the 9.00 service charge which was added to our bill as we felt we hadn’t had good customer service. To be fair the food was good but quite pricy if our overall experience had been better we would have felt happy to pay the price.

We ordered a variety of dishes from their starters , main course and desserts. Out of the three the desserts were really good and different than the ordinary options that we usually get in any Indian restaurants .The portion size for starters was small compared to the price and the taste was okay. One dish that stood out for us in the main course was the classic butter chicken it was worth the price👍. However the only disappointment that we all had was the hospitality as that was not upto the mark compared to the price and the place. We have visited to many restaurants in London and near by areas and after you finish your meal you are offered a wet wipe and a chocolate along with your bill. I don’t say that it is normal but dining in such an expensive restaurant you would like to experience these little details as well. All in all it was a good experience with the view and ambience.

Oh boy! Travelling from Skye to Edinburgh we happened on this place, dramatically set on the banks of Loch Lochy, at lunchtime. And lucky we were as we had stopped at a premises not far to the north who were running late and hadn't opened for the day. Beautifully and tastefully appointed - premises have been subject to a recent redevelopment/ upgrade - the restaurant offers an outstanding, no, jaw -dropping vista across the loch. It was a coolish day and we chose to sit inside but a few extra degrees would have had us sitting outside on the huge, wooden balcony from where it would have been difficult to move on! The food was gorgeous and an amazing selection and fusion of Scottish and Indian cuisine. The Cullen Skink, though not chunky in the traditional style, tasted fantastic with a deep smoked fish but not too salty flavour. Maintaining the fish theme we also tried the tandoori salmon - a masterstroke and I will be adding this to my home cooking selection this week with some trout from the freezer. The Butter Chicken was superb with a deep, rustic, chilli flavour. Staff were wonderfully attentive and polite. Not the cheapest venue but very good value and this is quality dining in a fabulous setting. We were not drinking but the wine list was excellent and fairly priced. The Whisky List, well that was extensive to say the least!

This was the best meal we had during the 10 days we were in Scotland. The view is gorgeous. The place was packed on a Thursday night for good reason. On the menu, stick to their specialties, and you will be blown away by the taste of the food, especially the Indian food. Do not miss dining here. Service is direct, but efficient. The dining room itself is a tasteful, classy, modern design.

Came here during a recent stay in the Highlands for a meal as it's a highly rated restaurant. Even on booking it was very clearly emphasised that we'd need to be gone within 80 minutes but that's fine as we don't dawdle. We arrived and were squashed into the corner of the half full restaurant (some tables were still empty as we departed) Our food order was taken at the same time as our drinks but the food was served first. In fact, the drinks may never have been served if we hadn't got someone's attention and asked for them. The service wasn't great for the duration, particularly a couple of the waitresses, although one waiter was particularly smiley and friendly. Unfortunately I ordered the teriyaki salmon which was overcooked and dry throughout. The sauce was overly sweet. The chicken was apparently a little better but we both agreed that it was neither horrible nor impressive. Dessert took an age to arrive, as did the bill. I think the bill only came because the floor manager got into a clear panic that we were still present after 78 minutes. Plenty of people taking photographs just outside holding wine glasses up against the beautiful scenery but sadly, we wouldn't visit again. *Edited to correct error over order of food and drinks served. I had dinner with my boyfriend, and honestly from the outside it didn't give any indication that it was practically an Indian restaurant. Both the environment and the atmosphere, in fact, recall the typical Scottish one, but then reading the menu you realize that the local dishes are really limited, and the menu is mostly made up of Indian dishes. For this reason, my boyfriend and I struggled to choose a course that was right for us, given that everything suggested that we would be eating in a typical Scottish restaurant. Lastly, the bill was very high compared to the quality of the dishes, and we realized that an extra 10% had been added to the receipt as a tip: we asked a waiter for explanations, and we were told that it was written (in small print) on the menu that a 10% tip on the bill would be included. In my opinion, this denotes unfairness towards the customer, especially if he is a tourist as in our case.

We stayed in the hotel three nights and enjoyed three dinners and one lunch here which shows how much we liked it. Don’t be put off by the combined Scottish/International and Indian menu. The Indian head chef of this small chain of hotels is clearly passionate about bringing great Indian food to the Highlands of Scotland. However the Scottish food is just as good too (Eg an excellent Cullen Skink) and my Chinese father in law even enjoyed the noodles. Excellent service and excellent views of Loch Lochy through the glass restaurant front, there is also outside seating available if you are lucky with the weather/midges.

Lovely setting beside the loch but very very expensive, prawn cocktail consisted of 5 prawns arranged around an egg cup of marie rose sauce and one leaf of salad costing £20, butter chicken main course 3 tiny pieces of chicken in very watery curry (more like a supermarket own brand ) , not what you would expect from a high class restaurant.

After seeing the view this restaurant had to offer, my partner and I had to make a trip while staying in Fort William for a couple days. It did not disappoint. Lovely view out the full glass panel windows over looking the loch. The food was absolutely amazing, highly recommend the Salman or Highland Burger. The staff seemed very friendly and pleasant. The restaurant was busy for a Thursday night, which is always a good sign that the food is good. Expensive but worth it. My only two small things were the lack of parking. We found it quite difficult to get parked up. The other thing was when we sat down in the restaurant, the waitress ‘seemed’ to offer a chilled bottle of water for the table. I assumed it was free but noticed it was £6 on the bill (£120) I would definitely go here again.

Snagged a last-minute dinner reservation at this gorgeous lochside location! Truly any seat in the house provides an excellent view of Loch Lochy, but we were lucky enough to sit right next to the window. It was a drizzly day (big surprise right?) but even so, the view is stunning. This restaurant provides an excellent level of service! We felt very well-attended during our dining experience here. How FUN is the Scottish-Indian fusion theme on this restaurant's menu?! Where else can you start with Cullen Skink, move to Tikka Salmon, and end with Kulfi all paired with locally-brewed ales from Glen Spean? The salmon was a MAJOR highlight, seriously some of the best salmon I've ever had in my life and the coriander sauce was to die for - I could have drunk it straight. The Kulfi was a new experience for us (Indian ice cream with almonds, pistachios, and a lovely cardamom flavor) and we were thrilled. The perfect light but sweet ending to our meal. 14 days in the UK & this was one of the best dining experiences we had!!!

We were recommended this restaurant by the hosts at our B&B, and it exceeded all our expectations. We ate early, at 6pm, before the clocks went back, so we had a wonderful view to the mountains across the loch before it got dark. The dining room is beautifully light and well-designed and the staff very attentive. Everything was delicious - we had Indian main courses, Hyderabadi Lamb Shank and Malabar Fish Curry - and came back to Scotland for Sticky Toffee Pudding. We booked a table here for our Anniversary dinner whilst staying at Fort Williams. The hotel looks lovely with beautifully decorated with lights outside, and the inside made you feel like a log cabin hotels you see in America. Would have been a great view if it was during day time also with the Loch. We ordered Chicken Hyderabadi (well marinated and tender chicken) with butter garlic Nan, Toasted Cauliflower and potato Biryani tasted like Traditional Biryani from Hyderabad and they were delicious, just the right amount of spices to bring out the flavours. The portions are also a good size too. We also had Kulfi which was delicious. The staff are very welcoming and attentive even though the restaurant was busy. Very friendly and helpful. They also gave us a cake for our Anniversary, very thoughtful and generous of them. I would recommend this place for Lunch and dinner. We ate here last night, 2/11. We believe this is a temporary venue for this fabulous restaurant whilst their other premises are being renovated. We were warmly greeted and seated in a busy restaurant that had a warm and friendly feel. All the food sounded delicious especially the specials. Of the three of us I was the only one to have a starter - the hot smoked salmon tart - delicious! Crisp pastry, tasty hot smoked salmon and rich veloute. My dad the venison which was rich and soft - melt in your mouth tenderness. Whilst my husband a generous portion of seafood pasta - it was tasty, hot and very fresh - he said it was amazing. I had the monkfish special - loin wrapped in Parma ham with scallops. Again delicious! Service was the right mix of friendly and competent. A lovely restaurant serving very delicious food. We will visit again if we are up in Fort William.

Stayed at a nearby B&B, so ate dinner here. Had fish and chips, which was lovely, and the best dessert I’ve had this holiday. Small place, so need to book. Unfortunately, not open on a Sunday or Monday.
