Absolutely beautiful Chinese food. Tonight we ordered a big selection of stuff to try this place out. Salt and Chilli Chicken, chicken chow mein, small portion chicken balls, curry sauce, chips, fried rice. Very generous portions and everything was cooked perfectly. Cant fault a single thing. This will be our new GO TO chinese in Ballieston now.
Comforting yummy food always from a family run Chinese Food Takeaway. Been a customer (and now consider us friends) for over 30 years now.
Love the food, love Universal.
Popped in here for lunch with my wife and her mother. On entering, we were greeted by a smiling Amy, who welcomed us in. I proceeded to order the soup and egg mayonnaise toastie, with a Mocha and white chocolate caramel slice. All were fantastically tasty, especially the soup, which was very thick pea and ham, and piping hot, 11 out of 10😋My mother in law opted for a Latte, which she thoroughly enjoyed. My wife had tea, which was made with leaves, and a chocolate slice, which she enjoyed immensely. She also had a latte, which she also enjoyed. I had another mocha. The premises were welcoming, spotlessly clean, prices were unbelievably cheap. I can also honestly say that the service and banter from Amy, and Megan, Niece and Auntie, was tremendous. I would thoroughly recommend this place, and will be back in the near future.
Super cafe, easy to find on the main drive through Alva. Great food from an extensive menu and unmatched Lucaffe coffee with other beverages available. Ambience just right. Fast service and very friendly staff all contribute to this very popular cafe. We will be back.

Delicious, good value soups, cakes, and a solid cooked breakfast. A lovely spot for breakfast or lunch with views of the sea.
I've visited the cafe quite often since the current operators took it on and I'm always pleased with the quality and presentation of food. The cake selection is great, usually including options that are not as sugar-laden is on offer elsewhere. Soups are consistently delicious, and the vegan cooked breakfast is good value and size.
Worth noting that in recent weeks the waiting times I've experienced have improved noticeably, even when they've been quite busy.

I am exhibiting a few sculptures and wood turned items in the SAC over December. The staff and members are wondefull and have been very supportive throughout. The building is amazing and definitely worth a visit
Great restaurant. Amazing food, great service, brilliant atmosphere and simply a great experience all round.
I had heard of a lot of locals going here and had tried to get in a couple of times but it had been fully booked so we decided to try again in January. The place was still busy and I can see why.
I think we’ve found our new favourite place.
Went in today as passing through staff were lovely ordered a turkey salad roll costing £4.45 got back to the car and it was shocking one thin slice of turkey loads of lettuce and onion. I know people have overheads but that’s just robbing people I was absolutely disgusted. Won’t be back!
