Popped in here for lunch with my wife and her mother. On entering, we were greeted by a smiling Amy, who welcomed us in. I proceeded to order the soup and egg mayonnaise toastie, with a Mocha and white chocolate caramel slice. All were fantastically tasty, especially the soup, which was very thick pea and ham, and piping hot, 11 out of 10😋My mother in law opted for a Latte, which she thoroughly enjoyed. My wife had tea, which was made with leaves, and a chocolate slice, which she enjoyed immensely. She also had a latte, which she also enjoyed. I had another mocha. The premises were welcoming, spotlessly clean, prices were unbelievably cheap. I can also honestly say that the service and banter from Amy, and Megan, Niece and Auntie, was tremendous. I would thoroughly recommend this place, and will be back in the near future.

I accompanied a lady to Anstruther to witness the arrival of 13-47 The new RLNI Lifeboat. While waiting we went to this charming coffee shop.Lovely wood floors very clean very cosy with period adverts on the wall. Tables were set with china cups and side plates.I had a fruit scone and a tea. My partner and I were given tea in a mug with the tea bag in it. My partner insisted on a teapot so they took her tea back and brought a pot of tea. I didn't mind so I had the mug.I had a fruit scone which was not cut and a pat of butter and some jam in a little plastic container I was offered cream but declined. It was fresh and soft and flavourful. My partner had toasted cheese sandwich which they enjoyed. Overall really enjoyed it but it was a bit crowded. Not really a place to go if you have prams etc due to limitations of space. They allowed my partner to bring their dog in. We chose a very busy day to visit but Anstruther is very busy in the summer. Would recommend Total price was about £8

If I could give a Zero Rating I would... This was the worst coffee I have ever had.! Coffee was like water and had zero taste. Ordered a scone which was hard. No customer toilets, they directed me to the public ones over the road. Hygiene levels were shocking, only discovered this after I ordered. I watched as one girl made sandwiches at same time as taking money and wiping her hands down her trousers then placed sandwich on a plate then went to drawer for cake and put on plate then proceeded to eat a cake sticking her hand in her mouth then putting more sandwich on the customer plate. Shocking!!

Now, I'm not saying that you will get a free, perfectly brewed, tea, from the owner herself, five minutes after closing time - but you might! Five stars and thank you.

What a great find. This tea room is a wee gem. We were very impressed with the choice available, including vegetarian, vegan, gf and dairy free. As such we had no problem in finding food and drinks to suit us all. We had soup, sandwiches, teas and coffees and everything was fresh and tasty. Staff were chatty and pleasant. Will definitely return ❤️

Lovely sunny day and a wee trip through Anstruther brought us to this place. On offer were sandwiches, toasties, rolls n bacon etc. Some tables outside meant we could have a bite of lunch and our dog could sit with us. We arrived at a busy time: a large group had just left and we're replaced by lots of folk like us, all ordering at the same time. Two lovely young ladies seemed to be the only staff so we expected a long wait. Not so! Our toasties (with some crisps) and coke arrived fairly quickly and we're just what we were looking for. The added bonus was that this only cost ys £10! Advice - avoid the hyped fish bars and head to this place esp if you simply want a quick, tasty wee bite.

We parked our car right outside this little cafe and I popped in to ask if they knew if it was ok to park, the girls jumped out of their chairs as thought I was a potential customer and were helpful, so thought we may go back and give them our custom, which we did. We sat outside, and a notice in window advertised link sausage rolls which were not on the menu card, but it was what we actually fancied, so we had them (friend got bacon on hers too) and they were great. They had my favourite Earl Grey tea served in little pot with tea strainer and little china cup/saucer. We halved a lemon sponge cake that was delicious. Speaking to someone going in she said the paninis were really lovely. An auspicious little place at the front but would definitely recommend it and would go back. Staff very friendly and it was reasonably priced.

Nice and cheap tea room, which the ability to sit outside. The waiting staff seem a bit stuck in their ways, insisting with a slightly rude tone that we wait outside to be served, and making sure a tea towel is put down as a teacloth first before we get our drinks. However when we left they were friendly and said thank you for coming. We ordered a coffee and a diet coke which was reasonably priced.

Visited Anstruther on 14th October. We decided that a pot of tea and a couple of fruit scones were in order. The tea was lovely, the china to die for. Proper tea in a proper china cup. The fruit scones were packed with fruit, just not raisins, and the hint of lemon with the lemon curd yum yum. This was a lovely hour spent relaxing. The owner was very friendly and the young girl who was helping went about her duties quietly and efficiently. We will definitely return and could be tempted by the full afternoon tea.

We visited this tiny tea room and had a fantastic lunch. The plates and tea cups were all vintage China. The food was fresh and delicious. We had sandwiches (chicken, cheese and cheese and onion toastie) which came with crisps. We also ordered a Rocky Road square, but there was a lot of other great baking. The tea and coffee were excellent and the service by the two girls was perfect-paying attention but not overbearing. In fact, service was over and above in my case as I left my purse hanging over the chair. One of the girls dropped it to us at a restaurant where we were eating 20 min away as they were just closing when we realized I left it there. You don't find many great people and places in the world but we certainly found one yesterday. Go, enjoy. You won't be disappointed!!!!

Found this little gem on a rainy day as it was the first place we came to which said "dog friendly" on a sign outside. The staff were really welcoming with excellent local knowledge and brought water and biscuits for the dogs. It's good to find somewhere dog friendly as opposed to just tolerant of dogs. The warm scones with clotted cream were amazing. It's nice to see somewhere with a selection of loose teas. Good quality and value for money. Will definitely return next time we are in the area.

This is the best coffee shop in St Andrews - but only in terms of the coffee and the food. I love the drinks and the bagels especially are *french kiss* but I would love to be able to come and sit, and enjoy my bagel at a table. The issue is that the already limited seating is taken up by students who have pretty much always finished their drinks. I really think it would be a good idea to have maybe half of the seats reserved for people who just want to come and sit for 10 minutes to have a drink because the shop itself is so nice and clearly very well finished. As a student myself I know there are plenty of study spaces in town so a study free area surely wouldn't meet much resistance? I for one would visit the cafe much more often, instead of just for takeaways. That said, the staff are amazing and the coffee is superb.

My husband and I visited here today and ordered a cup of spicy lentil soup and a sandwich cost £10 each. The food arrived and my cup of soup was only half full and my husband's 3/4 full.I took my soup back and was told you only get one ladle.I said it should be a cupful as stated but was told no.I went back to my seat but was livid as I hate to be ripped off.I asked for the manager and the guy on the till said I will give you more soup which he did.The soup was lovely and the sandwiches also good made with lovely bread. The guy came over to take the plates and said he was sorry he upset me and I said you didn't upset me and I had been annoyed at being done.He apologised and offered me a free lunch.I advised I am only here for the day.The next thing he was back with 2 sweets in a box with forks and napkins to eat later.I thanked him for the cakes. We had them with coffee later on and delicious. I don't know the guys name but you have restored my faith in humanity and the cafe.We will visit again and encourage others to do so also.Thank you for your understanding.
