The best restaurants in Scotland

Took a late last minute booking, attention to detail by our waitstaff was great. The young lady was always checking the glassware before serving people and very interactive. Was a please to eat here and would ho again. Sea Trout was excellent as were the scallops. Atmosphere was great, parking ample. Seats comfy and not squished in to table. Do not go to Rosedale Hotel in Portree very bad at everything.

Food was great and delicious, thank you chefs.Service as ever spot on attentive and pleasant.

Grande Salvatore, orgoglio italiano in terra scozzese!! Ottimo tutto! Nomi irripetibili dei piatti che sono stati veramente ben eseguiti ed equilibrati. Ci siamo sentiti orgogliosi nel vedere l’impegno di tutto lo staff nel farci sentire speciali….bravi bravi bravi!

Absolutamente fantástica comida, todos pedimos diferentes platos que estaban deliciosos, especialmente los bangers y el puré! Personal encantador y servicial y el entorno era muy acogedor! Sin duda recomendaría este lugar.

Have passed this place quite often when visiting Dumfries. I had never popped in as the shopfront is a little uninspiring. However, I was wrong as I finally went in today and the food and service was first class. Prices were good too. No more passing by when next in the town. Straight to Molly Mae's Tea Room.

Mi esposa y yo estábamos en la calle Andrews Square. Nos apetecía un Meze turco y este fue altamente valorado, uno de los mejores restaurantes de Edimburgo aparentemente. Así que caminamos el largo camino y llegamos. Supongo que las mesas de plástico deberían habernos avisado. Pedí un Adana Kebab esperando trozos de pollo y cordero con ensalada y arroz. Lo que me dieron fue dos trozos grasientos de carne re-formada y conformada con un poco de ensalada flácida y una pequeña porción de arroz. Yuk. Y ciertamente no refleja el ranking de TripAdvisor o la mancha del restaurante. Ni siquiera era barato. Pero lo peor fue caminar de vuelta al hotel por Rose Street y pasar por muchos restaurantes mejores que sirven exactamente el tipo de comida que pensamos que estábamos recibiendo, pero no lo hicimos. No me gusta dejar malas críticas pero es necesario en este caso para que el ranking refleje el restaurante.

Top food as always here , freshly done , very busy in the peak times surprising for the location do shows it’s good , one of the cheapest sandwich shop around , great selection on the menu

I went here whilst on my break to Edinburgh. I was truly impressed with the service and quality of food . I had a vegan Scottish breakfast and a lovely unicorn cake . Food was delicious and presented very well 👌 would definitely recommend and will probably visit here again on my next trip to Edinburgh.

Went to try the pop up pizza of Crust and the chicken wings. Really good pizza especially the stingeroni but the wings were undercooked and the mac and cheese was tasteless and stodgy. The manager and waitress couldn’t do enough, even refunded the wings. Pizza and service great, wouldn’t go back for anything else.

Great service, brilliant food and friendly staff. Both left as burst couches, the valentine's menu was perfect and was priced fairly, will definitely be returning.

Stopped of at " THE POTTERY SHOP " Cafe for a bowl of soup on our drive home from Dunoon to Dunfermline. What a gem of a cafe. My husband chose home made tomato soup with a generous portion of bread & butter ( £6 ) I couldn't resist ordering home made macaroni cheese & a side of the best home made proper chips I have tasted since I was a child. ( none of the usual freezer to fryer chips ). Mac & cheese was SO deliciously cheesy , creamy & scrumptious. It was served with a lovely greek style chunky salad of cucumber, fresh tomato, red pepper and red onion. The cakes available were all home made and looked delicious. I was just too full to eat one. I wish I had thought to take photos to add to this review. We were so delighted with our lunch, the cafe and the owner. Not to forget the pottery , jewellery, art work and cards available. We don't drive this road often....but I will definitely return in future. In fact the owner says that they also serve food some evenings. Cafe has only been under his management for 8 months. Precioso café y tienda en hermosos terrenos con un montón de paseos. Buen café y los mejores bollos de queso que he tomado en un café! Personal amable, incluyendo algunos de los residentes de la comunidad. Volveremos la próxima vez que visitemos Aberdeen.

We visited The Moon Light Kitchen on Saturday as a family of 5 . Food was absolutely delicious !! Staff were absolutely amazing and very attentive. I would 100 % recommend this restaurant !! Forgot to take pics🫣
