The Beechtree Restaurant in Moray

Had the pleasure of dining here just before Christmas with my wife and 8 month old, the staff were fantastic when booking and upon arrival we had a high chair waiting at the table for us. The service is prompt without being rushed, the servers are knowledgeable and attentive. The food was not only well presentated, but modern, well sourced and flavourful. The beechtree in my eyes is easily one of the top, if not the best place for food in the area.

Had lunch today. Great to see students being trained and encouraged. The local industry needs skills like this to ensure visitors expectations are met.

Such gorgeous food at amazing prices. The students are so dedicated and the HATA staff are so attentive. I have had the 3-course fine dining meal, the twilight service, the bistro lunches, the buffet lunches, a wee coffee and scone... Always great service, and it's great to be able to give towards the students learning experience.

Beech tree is always a pleasant experience and I enjoy knowing the students progress so well though their training. They are always exceptionally polite and considerate. The food is exceptional though last time there was one flaw, the sugar in the lemon pie had not fully dissolved, so the texture was grainy and too sweet. I know from my own experience how easy it is for this to happen, so not a criticism as an observation.

I enjoyed my Christmas work meal here today and we all agreed it was the best food we'd ever had at a Christmas work do! Great menu choice and every course was delicious. Beautifully presented, too. Great value for the quality. Well done to all the chefs!

A great place to go for lunch. Food is excellent and amazing value for money. Best to book a table about 2 weeks in advance as very popular and not open every day as it's part of Elgin college. Service prompt and polite.

Have been a few times very relaxed atmosphere usually good quality food and service but they are students so are just learning if something is not quite right tell them and they quickly put it right if you can be patient you'll have a quality meal at a take away price

We meet here in our retired club and have had nothing but good service and good food. Well done tae all the students.

Nice for lunch or coffee. Restaurant is inside the Moray College UHI and going there supports the catering and hospitality students. Food and drink always of a high quality and good price. You can get a very good two course lunch. Have always been served by polite and welcoming students.

First time I've been and only had a mocha. Very big room, like a sports hall, but warm. Plenty of staff. Going for a meal next week so ask me then 👌

Good to be able to go back to the beachtree and test out the students cooking skills and waiting service. Had a beautiful meal looking forward to next month. Well done to all.

First rate value for money. Good food well presented and served by trainees. A good place to meet up with a friend.

I continue to have lunch here as it is top class food prepared by chefs, trainee chefs and excellent table service. Waiting time for after ordering averages 12 mins. Prices are about normal for a descent lunch. Really worth the visit.

I was pleasantly surprised at the high standard of food and service we received today. Highly recommend the Beechtree.

Had lunch here today with my wife. I had hot smoked salmon for starters and seafood chowder for main. Both meals really nice and chowder full of king prawn, smoked haddock, cod and potatoes - see photo. Although my wife got the wrong light bite she was given the opportunity to change it but it was also lovely as she had spicy chicken in focaccia bread instead of chicken and bacon. Staff are training here as part of their college qualifications and prices and perhaps any errors should be taken cognisance of. Having said that all staff were very helpful and professional and our food was just lovely.

Excellent food at very inexpensive price as this is a training venue for catering/hospitality students. Nice decor, clean and comfortable. Good spot for business lunches also as plenty of space between tables. Accessible for all.
