Newton Dee is a wonderful place for most people with Learning Disabilities of all kinds and other mixed Additional Complex Needs, whether they are Co-workers or villagers. What I can see is Newton Dee can be inclusive and welcoming of all kinds of abilities and nationalities. Newton Dee would share experiences with eachother and will learn a lot from eachother, despite the pecking order, potentially. Some people may become independent through encouragement (spurring one another on) and inspiration.

Cute little village, lots to see and do. Everyone is friendly and they often have baby animals, which is a win for me.

This is a farm which has disabled adults living there and working. We had lunch in the cafe. The soups are made by the residents from the produce they helps to grow. Absolutely delicious and the Accompanying bread was also made by the residents. There is a small shop which sells gifts and some produce. After lunch we went walking around the property and saw a variety of farm animals, some of which the children can interact with. Our grandson is a regular visitor with family and absolutely loves it. Highly recommend it.

I go here a couple of times a month with my friend and her grandsons after a walk round Newton Dee to see the turkeys, chickens, calves and play in the swings - after a visit to the fabulous bakery please try the spelt bread fantastic the higher price well worth it. The cafe is very relaxed (needs to be with three lively boys under the age of 5) all Home baking, soya lattes are hot with good coffee. The boys have cakes and cookies all eaten at double quick time with noises of appreciation. Please go to the food hall a great choice of foods you can’t find anywhere else, herbs, fresh veg etc . A regular visit and we are always welcome no matter how noisy and messy we are

We love Newton Dee. We are always made to feel so welcome and the atmosphere is warm and gentle. There is a great selection of cakes, coffee and teas. The soup options at lunch are reliable and often interesting. The bread is one of the best in town and can also be bought in the shop or the bakery itself. Highly recommended.

Newton Dee is a regular visit for us as carers from Murtle Estate, Camphill School. I've been there plenty of times and had taken kiddos with all sorts of special needs and must admit: the only place where we could feel comfortable as people weren't staring at us. What an environment! The shop has very good quality products and a lot of super healthy food and drinks you can choose from. The cafè is very lovely and you won't see that many smily faces anywhere else in town! So glad to have a place where disabilities are celebrated and people with difficulties can be just as much part of the world as everyone else. Amazing!

Great organisation in a lovely site and cafe & shop is in a nice building. Very limited choice of food but tasty vegetarian soup and bread made on site. Well stocked wholefoods shop and some project made wood work, felting and printing are available for sale but they need to perhaps explain what each product is and the story behind it. We visited at the weekend and unfortunately it wasn't possible to see much but we would love to have. Something to consider if they want to widen their sales possibilities.

My regular visit for lunch, was too late for pizza, it was sold out. The soup was good with specialist bread, the sandwich was gigantic, a quarter of a cob filled fully with salad and crisps accompanying it. Parking for disabled close to restaurant, away from main car park. This is a regular lunch. Got cheese from shop.

This is a great place to stop in at for a simple, no nonsense, soup and or/pizza lunch at very reasonable prices. The setting is lovely looking out over a grassed area and you can enjoy the alternative organic delights of the food store right next door as well. I loved the Christmas cake and went back for a second piece!

The baking is excellent but you will often find that certain items are either not ready or sold out very quickly- eg, scones. There is often no milk on the table. Service is extremely slow and you will have to stand with your tray forever. The staff are skilled at not seeing you in this event! That said, this is a relaxed place to eat nice, home-made food in a lovely, area. Just a few tweaks wd make it better!

Wonderful wholesome food. When I go it has to be soup for me. It's proper homemade soup. You help yourself and you can fit a lot in the bowl! There's their own homemade bread to go with it plus oatcakes and rice cakes. It's always busy and you should aim to get there at noon. The soup runs out if you leave it too late, although they serve lunch until 2pm.Lovely cakes too, plus good coffee.

Run by a team of professional caterers for and assisted by residents of Newton Dee Village this is a self service facility. All foods (organic whenever possible) are freshly prepared in the cafe's kitchen. Bread and confectionery is made daily in the nearby Village bakery and may also be bought in the adjacent Village Store along with other organic and eco- produce. This is a favourite haunt of friends wanting to spend time over a quality cup of coffee or tea with perhaps a bowl of home-made soup, a slice of home-baked cake/scone or a filled panini. Outdoor seating in nice weather. Closed on Sunday and Monday
