Great art's club, well organised with just the right balance of price, drinks/food and access to great art and artists. Wish I could go more often.

It is a marvellous intimate setting to listen to fine music. Kevin Barrett was superd and girlfriend Susannah stepped in to deliver a spellbinding song. The barman worked hard to supply us with drinks and nibbles and I felt quite at home

Lovely calm venue in the heart of Edinburgh. A private members club, they welcome visitors and this occasion was a wine tasting. The Scottish Wine Society has been meeting here on the second Tuesday of the month, September- May, since 1986. A convivial and educational evening with fine wines and conversation. The venue is delightfully arty.

I am biased because I am the President. Try it for yourselves. It is a members club so normally entry is restricted. However, the gallery is open to view and to buy original works of art and you can stay for tea or coffee.

I’ve truly fantastic memories of my time at the Scottish Arts Club with the Scottish Portrait Awards. Genuinely lovely supportive folks, particularly committee members Joyce and Colin (and Sara of the SPAs) I offer my sincerest heartfelt gratitude to them for giving me the opportunity to be part of it. Loved the talks, the exhibitions, the whole experience! Wonderful stuff!

A hidden gem in the heart of the city at Rutland square. This is a private members club for lovers of the arts. Well worth a visit to their website for their activity calendar which is open to non members as well. Friendly and inviting place to hang out or dine.

The interior really put us off, it feels far too bright and white. However, the food is really nice. The starters however are all very bland. We ordered veg samosa, chicken pakora and mixed dip/pickle tray. Nothing had much flavour, even the sauces tasted of very little. The mains were all 10/10. I had a fenugreek lamb curry which was one of the nicest curries I've had in my life. My family ordered Korma, south Indian garlic chicken and a curry with mixed fruit. They all commented that they were all lovely and full of flavour! The service was fine, a bit quiet and not very outgoing but efficient. I would come back but only for mains.

+10 points for the option of the enormous jug of lassi. The Puri Yoghurt Bombs were delicious and a must eat delectable morsel. The service was prompt and friendly - a fresh take on Indian street food (a mix of the new and the traditional). The butter chicken was also delicious!
