Lovely wee pub that we'd been meaning to go to for a while. Good beer selection and they serve hot pies which looked delish.

Great friendly bar staff cracking pub with lots of character

St. Vincent's is a really lovely tucked away bar in the centre of Edinburgh. The atmosphere and decor were lovely. This place has a truly lovely atmosphere and welcoming staff. I would highly recommend a drink or two here if you are out exploring the city.

We stumbled upon this bar while killing time before a dinner reservation and it ended up being one of our favorite memories of our entire trip. The drinks were great, they had a wide selection of beer, wine, and other mixed drinks, and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. They weren’t serving food on the night we went but that was fine, and they had a handful of dogs free roaming- which we personally absolutely loved! Such a fun neighborhood gem to pop into.

Lovely bar and location. Spent a few hours at a table this evening only to be told that the table was booked. We were not told this sitting down at the table. A slate with the time of booking was placed on the table in front of us and No alternative tables available so the only option was to join a waitlist or leave. Unfortunately as we had no real option but to leave we left. Not good service or customer loyalty for paying seated guests. If there’s a full house do not book over seated customers and kick them out. Staff member not really bothered and slightly useless.

PIECE OF SITE. A very nice place to stop and have a drink while visiting one of the most beautiful areas of Edinburgh. Its terrace is like a fairy tale and the service is exceptional. I would return without a doubt.

Great little pub, specializing in cocktails but with an excellent selection of beers, including local craft beers. It's in a beautiful location at the entrance to Circus Ln, and there's a really nice atmosphere inside. It didn't seem like a tourist place to me, I was there around 5pm and it seemed populated by locals and also lots of dogs! Inside there are photos of dogs hanging, there are bowls with water for those who want to come in with their dog, very cute! Prices in line with other pubs in Edinburgh. I didn't eat, so I can't say anything about the food. Found by chance, how lucky!

This local pub was extremely welcoming. It was full of locals, yet they were welcoming to my family and I as tourists. It was refreshing to experience such a warm environment as a visitor. The whiskey and gin selection was excellent and the cocktails were delicious.

Fabulous bar which is in an excellent location and perfectly cosy inside. The staff are always helpful and very efficient , particularly the manager who is absolutely lovely and a joy to chat to. Always my first choice bar.

It's a very nice, little authentic pub and we really enjoyed our drinks. But to be honest we didn't feel very welcome as foreigners in there. So probably wouldn't go again. The bartender thought we hadn't paid and yelled after us, but actually we paid at her colleague just a couple of seconds before.

Fancy cocktail options, dogs all over me, and the staff were so kind and helpful with my questions. Absolutely recommended to anyone and everyone. Also a free library station on the patio!

Really very atypical bar with the merit that we stop to have a beer or a delicious fruit cider. The decoration is warm. If you love animals, you won't be disappointed!

Absolutely love this bar, it's full of character with a real local feel! It has a great range of drinks, but no food (at least on the night we went). It's a dog-friendly pub with usually lots of free-roaming dogs around, which I personally love but isn't everyone's cup of tea. I was a little confused as to whether it was table service or if I should go to the bar, either way the bar staff were lovely and would highly recommend it for a drink!

I've always loved this bar, not been for a while but been gong since the 80s! It's a wonderfully kept old bar, that you can sit outside in the small but perfectly comfy little area, that even has little cushions up the steps to sit on and a serving hatch, so you don't even have to go in the bar, if you don't want to! While away the hours and watch the busy town slope by. 😉

Nice enough looking place. Looked online, on the Facebook page on their own website nothing about no under 18s onsite after 5pm. No problem with the policy not that mine are older teenagers but advertising is everything. Shame.

Very nice traditional pub, they have a very large selection of gin and beer. The pub is very busy and very dog ​​friendly. We were visited by a dog at our table every evening we were there. The prices are good and so is the atmosphere in the pub. I recommend taking a deck of cards or something similar with you.

Lively bar in Edinburgh! I’ve spent a weekend in Edinburgh and ended up there every evening - the staff is really friendly, drinks are great and the location is great! Nice to know, they don’t do food, just some crisps and nuts :)

An unexpectedly awesome experience. As the sun was setting and my phone was dying, I turned the corner at the church and saw the lovely flowers and lights out front of this unassuming basement bar on the corner. Ventured in and it opened up into a vibrant, energetic pub with friendly folk and great vibes. A younger crowd but I struck up a nice conversation with an older local who recently moved back to town. Bartenders know their stuff and make some great-looking cocktails but I settled for a pint of cask ale. Great interior with some cool memorabilia. Would return without hesitation.

My partner and I went after a rainy day in Edinburgh walking, and the truth is that we succeeded in having some cocktails, the waiters were very friendly and super professional, very friendly, I really liked the concept and the idea of ​​the bar since they have decoration and Photographs of dogs throughout the bar, any customer can have a drink with their pet, and they are also welcomed very well. This is not usually seen in Spain, where we are from, and I loved being able to see it here.

Location is brilliant and the pub itself has loads of character, one of my go to places When I visit Edinburgh. Cocktails are great and they pride themselves on being a dog friendly pub with pictures of people's pups displayed on the ceiling. Staff are really welcoming and friendly

Really not sure how to describe “The Vinny” Not really a pub as it is all table service - so booking ahead recommended. The staff are properly hit or miss - either charming and helpful or grumpy and officious. It is an institution and the draft beer when it does not run out is well kept. So pot luck.

The St Vincent is a great place to have a drink, meet friends, meet new people and have a laugh. The staff are second to none and the drinks are top quality. They are a dog friendly pub as well which is great for me and my pup! I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Edinburgh and/or locals.

Randomly table serviced pub. Our table was wet, they couldn’t prepare 2 out of the around 20 drinks on the menu because they were out of coffee liqueur, but at least we had about 4 different members of staff to guide us through our order of two drinks and a packet of crisps and carry them all 4 metres from the bar to our table

Lovely little bar at the end of circus lane. Take the walk from Dean village along the river then head towards circus lane, wander down this lane and stop for a pint at the end, you won't be disappointed.

What’s your recipe for your mulled wine? Had a ton of it last winter and loved it. Best pub! Amazing dogs!

This is a lovely and cosy bar, wait staff were very attentive and they have some board games in the back although they’re looking a bit worse for wear.

Dogs, pints and table service pretty much sums it up. Not sure if food was just temporarily unavailable, or has been taken off the menu, but other people mentioned food - there was nothing but bar snacks when we went.

Great pub! The warm gin drink (served in a teacup) was a delight & the bartender found my husbands phone and chased us inside to return it to him.

Brilliant local dog-friendly pub. You can bring your dog in on certain dates for a doggie photo shoot, you get a pic of your dog and a second pic goes in the Dog Wall of Fame on the pub wall ♥️ Brilliant selection of drinks, lovely staff and fabulous nibbles (smoked almonds, I J Mellis cheese and cured meat platters are fabulous!) 👏🏼

Great Edinburgh pub, worth a visit. You need to book as not usually possible to walk in.

Lovely staff and drinks are great the only downside is the “serving hatch” windows being open mid-winter in Scotland. We’re still frozen 3 hours after leaving the pub. Thank you.

Truly a local bar. You really get the feeling that you belong there. It's comfortable and cozy and fairly intimate not a large facility. But there is a small place to sit outside
