We were passing and dropped in. They were very busy but fitted us in. Quick, efficient and friendly including one of the best gluten free pizzas I have ever had. Recommended.

First visit as through from Glasgow for the theatre, and lucky enough to get a table before the show started. Very busy place pizza was amazing as had a pistachio base, also reasonable,and. Glass of pinot £6 for a good size very chilled wine. Would highly recommend recommend,and staff were very efficient and friendly

My husband and I made a large order of pizzas for our wedding reception around the corner at Surgeons Quarter. Francesco was professional and very kindly delivered these himself. Great variety of pizzas that were fresh and delicious - our guests commented on how great they were! Our first time at Pizza Posto and definitely not the last!

Very authentic Neapolitan pizza! I like that the menu has a manageable number. Better come to this one than the tourists on the Royal Mile. The restaurant is very nicely decorated. We were there at lunchtime without a reservation, I think it's hardly possible without a reservation in the evening.

First evening in Edinburgh we were craving pizza. From the positive reviews we opted for this pizzeria and never was a more appropriate choice. Excellent Neapolitan pizza as I have eaten few in Italy. The owner is Italian and very kind!! Highly recommended!

Visiting from out of town and this is the best pizza we’ve had in awhile. The tomato sauce was absolutely fantastic. Great service and ambience as well.

The pizzeria is located a little far from the city center. The welcome is a bit cold, the wait is quite long (even for water), and in general you have the feeling of being abandoned to yourself... However, the pizza is good and the prices are tolerable. The environment does not stand out for originality but it is clean. The offer is discreet. A good option for a pizza but a somewhat anonymous experience for a "Neapolitan" pizzeria.

We came on holiday from Italy and I immediately felt at home. Excellent food and fair value for money. I highly recommend going there to eat!

The dough was more chewy and the bite was alright. The special with pancetta coppata was quite interesting although the topping wasn't super punchy. The crust isn't crispy enough Pizza con Prosciutto en Rucola was too heavy for this style and it was burnt on the edges. Even then it's not v crispy It's a decent place for Edinburgh pizzas

Great food and service. We took a large group of 44 here on a busy Saturday night. Thanks to Franchesco jnr &senior for looking after us. Wasn’t even a problem splitting the bill 22 ways! 😄

First and last time ordering from here. Pizza and chips arrived cold. I informed the delivery guy as soon as he handed it to me that it was 45 minutes late. He said he had had just picked it up and brought it. Both had to go in the oven and pizza base was soggy. It was a ridiculously small portion of chips as well for the price. £32 including delivery and was so not worth it!

Stylish setup with pleasant music in the background. The staff was very pleasant and thoughtful! We had the pizza Margherita and it was so delicious! We will definitely visit again :)

I was in Edinburgh and, as I often do, I looked for a place for dinner where there was the certainty of quality food and at the right price. I found this pizzeria and I must say that I hit the mark: everything was perfect, from the pizza, Naples style, to the service. Very fair price. I recommend it.

Really tasty, proper pizza. Service was friendly and efficient. Despite being crowded out they found the two of us a table (we hadn't booked) and we didn't have to wait long for the food or the bill.

Hi all, I believe Pizza Posto is an authentic Italian Pizza ,I didn't eat a good pizza like that for years,very affordable price as well, i guess i found the place where i can enjoy a nice pizza when I feel, please give it a try 👍

Pre theatre lunch. Don't be fooled by the outside, the restaurant is much bigger than it looks. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Quick service and really delicious food. Great choice on the menu too. The place is very well presented and all really clean. Will definitely go back again. I didn't have a pizza but they looked amazing. Very happy to recommend.

Amazing good and lovely atmosphere.

For the price I expected better quality ingredients. The pizza was ok, but the ham wasn't real parma ham, the olives tasted like a very salted brine, the mushrooms were kind of soggy and flavourlesss. The zucca flowers didn't have any stuffing.

Great spot for a meal prior visiting Festival Theatre as it is right across the road from it. Amazing Pizza and very welcoming staff. Very busy restaurant when we visited but service was still really good. Pizza's were excellent and would highly recommend a visit.

Probably the best pizza in Edinburgh

First time trying Pizza Posto and will definitely be back. The food was delicious and the pizza toppings offer a variety that you'd not find in standard pizza restaurants which is exciting to try. I went for Francesco's Specials number 13 which had a pistachio base and it was very good. Not too heavy on the pistachio flavour so don't over power the other ingredients. Staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing and service was quick. The decor is very nice and relaxed offering a calm atmosphere.

We have gone to Pizza Posto many times to sit in and also for superb take aways in the summer. We have never thought of writing a review but really we should!! If you would like to have a place where you can go to have a guaranteed great Pizza and a happy dining experience Pizza Posto is the place to go :) When we go to Pizza Posto we are always sure to get a great meal - they just make consistent great food. The Staff is always friendly and very accomodating. We have *never* experienced any rude staff in this Pizzeria and nowadays that is unusual. On our last visit Francesco Junior was our Waiter and what a fine young man he is. We wish him all the best and hopefully he will be there again when we return for more Pizza. Suggestions for even better service: * Please start a Blue Light Card Discount, that would be AMAZING!!! * More Veggy Options please like a Veggy Calzone

Very good pizza and great restaurant. We have been there multiple times; sometimes the service can be slow, especially for drinks (which is strange), but the dessert will make up for this - great tiramisu. Review from an Italian.

We discovered this pizzeria since it was close to where we were staying and it was a pleasant surprise. We didn't have a reservation but as soon as we arrived they quickly and kindly found us a table. The atmosphere in the place was very good and the treatment we received from the Spanish waiter made us feel at home. In reference to the food, we ordered 2 pizzas which you can see how they are made while you are sitting at your table, they are Neapolitan style, with a very good thicker dough and you have a variety of them to choose from for an appropriate price. Advisable.

The place is very nice and the ground floor is beautiful. The pistachio-based pizza and the calzone were tremendous. Very good recommendation and treatment from all the waiters, especially Francesco Jr., very attentive and helpful. We will repeat.

Honestly, I've already had pizzerias in Italy, Sardinia, etc., but this one is really incredible. The flavors are incredible and very good. I recommend 1000% Plus it’s not expensive and the chef comes to the tables

Horrendous service, I don’t recommend it at all. An Italian waiter was a typical & stereotypical arrogant Italian. Took my order with a lot of Bla Bla , but when it got to the actual order it was wrong. So what was the point for showing off. If you can’t even get right the drinks with no ice and sanpelegrino bloody orange not orange. Food wasn’t great. I’ve paid for the service, it’s apparently mandatory within the bill to pay. I paid to not make any drama. The bill cane from a girl. Our First & last time never again.

Perfect place for a date! The atmosphere is lovely and the food is truly, truly wonderful. My boyfriend and I felt like we were in heaven as soon as we tried the first starter we ordered.

Everything was great. The ambience, the staff and the super star food. Although they were fully booked for the night but we went for an early dinner and they politely told us that they can serve us for only an hour, which was ok for is.

We ordered courgette flowers, three daisies and zeppoline with Nutella. Everything was excellent, the light fried foods and the delicious pizza ingredients! Furthermore, the owner was really welcoming and kind: when we asked for an alternative to canceling the New Year's Eve events, he wasted a lot of time inquiring with the waiters about places where we could go to celebrate. Super recommended! (And an Italian and Neapolitan tells you this)

They have a lot of good choices on the menu. I choose the pizza fritta or fried calzone and it was amazing. Quality ingredients.

Pizzas are really good, one of the best I’ve eaten. Only thing service personal was not so happy to serve us but to charge ‘service charge’. Anyway, it was worth it because the pizzas are delicious.

Without a doubt the best pizza I've ever eaten in Scotland! I was here a couple of weeks ago and I have to say that the experience was excellent. The pizzeria is run by Italians, the quality of the products used for the pizzas is excellent. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, making everything even more enjoyable. We went to this restaurant and were told there were no tables available without a reservation. While we were deciding what to do, we noticed other customers arriving without reservations being seated promptly. This inconsistency left us feeling excluded and wondering if we were treated differently for reasons beyond our control.

We were looking for a good pizzeria in the city and without a doubt we found it. The service is very attentive and fast, and the food is absolutely delicious. We ordered pizza and a calzone, both a large size and very tasty. As for the price, it is cheap considering the prices in the area. Without a doubt, you must go.

The owner is very friendly and the food is good but it is not the quality I expected for what we paid, the burrata as an accompaniment to focaccia is not recommended, they serve you a simple mozzarella, none of the creamy and softer texture that you look for in a real burrata.

My friend and I enjoyed two delicious veggie pizzas and drinks before a Talisk gig. Food was great and staff were friendly. Struggled to finish as pizzas were generous. Will definitely be back.

While the pizza dough at Pizza Posto was acceptable, the quality of the toppings was shockingly poor. The mushrooms resembled the cheap, canned variety you’d find for £1 at Tesco, and the ham was of equally abysmal quality—bland, rubbery, and unenjoyable. For a pizza of this standard, the price should not exceed £6. To make matters worse, a 10% "discretionary" service charge was added without any clear explanation. The Italian waitress, who seemed to expect an easy tip, acted annoyed when we attempted to pay in cash, even complaining about the small denominations and clearly preferring larger coins. The service overall was dreadful. The waitress was rude, unprofessional, and struggled to speak clear and proper English, making the entire experience frustrating and unpleasant. For those considering dining here, I’ve attached the receipt as a reference. I would strongly advise avoiding this place—overpriced, mediocre quality, and service that leaves a lot to be desired.

The pizza is lovely. Decent prices for what you get. You might think get a dominos if you want a decent pizza for 6-9 quid? No, come here and get something much fresher and tastier! And no im not paid for this haha. I genuinely just really like the pizza. The staff are really nice too and the decor is good. Expect to wait 10 minutes for a pizza.

Would rate it 5/5 but pizza was not crispy in the middle but was delicious. All the food is good and the daiquiri was divine.Our waitress was excellent as were everyone we interacted with.
