Great bar, visited twice during our stay in Edinburgh. The staff were staff were warm and friendly very. Great place to eat, with a relaxed atmosphere. Very close to the museums.

Food was delicious and reasonably priced. The bar tender was so lovely and hard working. Gave everyone a warm welcome. He was literally on point with everything. Nothing was too much bother and he was so cheerful. My son loved the steak and ale pie, he said the gravy was delicious I had the halloumi flat bread which was so nice and with a side of chips and lovely homemade coleslaw. We would definitely come back if we were staying here longer.

Decided to have our lunch here on the way back to our hotel. This is a Greene king pub and offers a good selection of food and drinks. The staff were really friendly and the food was tasty I had a haddock fillet fish finger sandwich, side salad, coleslaw, cheesy garlic ciabatta and plain garlic ciabatta. I asked for a whisky of the barman’s choice and got a Bruich The Classic Laddie a very nice drop indeed

Nice chilled pub located just far enough off the mile but close to everything you would want (away from the mayhem 😁)

Fantastic - Food and drink ordered at the bar . Very kind Lady behind the bar asked me to take a seat - minutes later my Guiness arrived together with cutlery etc . Fish and Chips - absolutely amazing . Exceptional Customer service . ( Table 3 - 27th March 24 - Afternoon ) . Definitely going back soon .

Really warm welcome really chatty and polite guy at the bar, ordered some chips and a few drinks delivered and it the table with a smile and a bit of banter, Will pop in again to try some more f the foods as they all looked pretty good on the way past A really nice atmosphere And everyone looks happy Thanks again

We are tourists from Indonesia. I would say they have EXCELLENT fish and chips! Perfectly cooked & fresh fish!!! We also ordered a grilled cheese toasty, which we didn't expect much but it turned out to be so good! You should also try the coleslaw, as well as THE BEER. We ordered Innis & Gunn, recommended by the guy behind the bar. GREAT GREAT service and a warm welcome. Love the ambiance, the music, everything. Definitely would love to go back here! LOVEEEE

Darren, the manager, has a very warm welcome for everyone & he sets a very positive & friendly atmosphere in the place. Good selection of drinks & good recommendations from Darren. Great service overall. I definitely recommend for some lunch or a few drinks.

We had a wonderful lunch at Doctors. The food was delicious, the service was pitch perfect. We had the best time and highly recommend anyone looking for delicious pub food, cold beer and a fun welcoming environment to visit Doctors the moment you arrive in Edinburgh.

Probably the worst food I have ever had and the order was wrong. The macaroni and cheese was disgusting and was sent back. Avoid!

Such a great bar, came twice in our visit to Edinburgh with different staff each time being so so welcoming and lovely and on top of that the food is amazing with a real relaxed atmosphere for all ages. It is a must to come here at least once if you’re in Edinburgh, but I’m sure you’ll come back again just like we did!

As a group of 13 after the Scotland-France VI nations match, we were already delighted to have been able to book a place to eat, but Doctors is really a super nice place: top staff, very good food (fish & chips, haggis, Sticky toffee pudding excellent) at a very reasonable price, clean toilets, we had an excellent evening there! And the little message on the note, I think it's quite simply the first time in my life that I've given you that, it's adorable! In short, I highly recommend this place!

What a find, a truly friendly pub. The bar man was so welcoming and couldn't do enough to make our visit enjoyable. The food is reasonably priced we had the Fish & Chip which was delicious. Great choice of drinks for everyone.

We called into this pub twice on our trip to Edinburgh, the 2 barmen we met were great craic and the lunch we had on the second day was amazing, especially the Japanese chicken & Haggis fritters

The barman was a bit weird and the food could have been from any pub so nothing special. It smells a bit like spilled beer or gone off kegs

Absolutely superb. There was an Irish Barman who we had seen / met before and he was just so, so, welcoming. He treated every customer as if they were the only one in the bar. We'll certainly be back.

This place was great! I'm new to Edinburgh and was expecting more of a bar than a restaurant, but the drinks were great, the music was great, and the service was impeccable. My table got the salmon cheddar cakes and a bacon cheeseburger, and they were both great, portions and taste. Would definitely come back to watch the live sports or dine on their expansive and delicious menu.

Lots of TVs and seating to watch an FA cup third round match with really great service. The main knock being the food was really just too greasy- a friend who lives nearby recommended the fish and chips but the batter was practically falling off the filet because it was too soggy. Plus you only get one medium piece of fish. Even the halloumi, which had at least a little crisp, was sweating from inadequate frying. I would go back but just wouldn’t order anything fried next time.

Very good pub food. Fish and chips and steak and ale pie all around. Plus we tried Haggis appetizer everything was perfect and the staff was amazing....even on New Year's day when most everyone else in town were over the festivities

Possibly the friendliest bar man in Edinburgh works at Doctors. Nothing was too much trouble, service was quick and attentive. It's a traditional pub, lots of dark interior and quirky medical paraphernalia dotted about. There was football on, on the TV but the sound wasn't too loud. The clientele was varied and the place was nicely busy for a week day. Will return again in the future.

Au vu des commentaires, nous avons réservé pour dîner dans ce pub 🍺 Et nous avons été très bien accueillis par le patron 🤗 Notre table était prête et nous avons été très bien conseillés pour notre dîner 🥗 Le Haggis frit était absolument délicieux, 😋 le meilleur que nous avons dégusté à Édimbourg 😃 Celui-ci accompagné d'un bon whisky, nous avons également fort apprécié le fish and chips, pas gras, croustillant et délicieux 😉. Mais à savoir... Copieux! Pour terminer en beauté, le Christmas pudding au Brandy était un pur délice 👌 Bref, une excellente soirée 😆 Je recommande vivement cet établissement 👏 👏 👏
