Lovely little pub, great atmosphere and you can sit outside looking at the sea.
Unfortunately they've stopped doing food though or we'd have eaten there too...
Our 2nd visit to Garvock House Hotel after our fabulous visit recently.
Again, everything was absolutely perfect, no faults whatsoever, this is a very underatted establishment.

Our family meal in the restaurant was loved by all. Excellent menu for both adults and kids. An extensive menu which was backed up by quality food and presentation.

We had without doubt the best breakfast served in any establishment in the country. Again an extensive menu which could give you a different breakfast plate for at least a week.
Our hosts were so warm and friendly and run a very well organised establishment.
Highly recommend The Allanton Inn. We will certainly return for a much longer stay soon.
Good coffee, good tattie scones, other breakfast items were good, too. Our waitress was super friendly and gave us some great suggestions for things to do around town.

Absolutely brilliant. Went in hoping for a table and they squeezed us in. They selected some dishes for us amd it was the perfect mix. What really made it was the top notch service. Will definitely be back!

Ordered a hamburger, expecting a hamburger. But the patty came deep fried in a lovely batter, reminding me that I am indeed in Scotland. Did not expect, but thoroughly enjoyed. I'll be back.
It’s really unfortunate to experience such poor treatment from the owner of this takeaway. I gave honest feedback about the food quantity, but instead of handling it professionally, the owner argued with me and said, “Don’t teach me.” That’s not how a customer should be treated. No one expects perfection, but basic courtesy and respect are the least anyone deserves.
To be honest, I now question the 4.6 rating based on my experience, it doesn’t seem genuine. In the food industry, the owner is expected to treat customers like guests, even like god, as we say in our culture. I hope the owner takes this seriously and reflects on how to improve both attitude and customer service moving forward.
