A magically quirky dining experience that redefines what a 5 star meal can look like 🤩. If you’re happy to do things a little differently and go with the flow, you’ll love the oystercatcher! The service was super friendly and the food exceptional. The garlic butter lobster and duck fat chips are not to be missed - probably the nicest lobster we’ve ever had - and bought direct from the local lobster boats! Space here is limited with one group seated per hour, which means that the service is really personal. There were so many amazing little tasters and extras served throughout the meal which meant that we left feeling absolutely stuffed (in a good way!) . The heather (grown in the back garden) and honey tea and homemade shortbread was a lovely way to end the meal. Something that we wouldn’t have ordered if choosing it ourselves from the menu but we really enjoyed it! The place is packed with quirky curios - from the oyster shell garlands around the walls to the port pourer. And the wine menu alone is something to behold! 100s of wines to suit any price range. We had an amazing Gewürtztraminer. The owners are in their retirement and looking to sell so we’d definitely recommend a visit before you no longer can 😢

We stayed here for 3 days on a golfing trip.Fantastic! Staff were amazing, food was lovely, would definitely stay here again! What a lovely little town. We ate dinner in the tavern, was very nice. We also tried the local curry house as recommended by Lorraine behind the bar, fantastic. The third night we tried the local bistro, nice but I preferred the curry house. Opinions though. I would highly recommend this tavern.👍 We were down to play The Glen one of the days but it was closed as it was too wet. Lorraine behind the bar arranged for us to play Archerfield instead. Wow! Really nice. Thanks Lorraine, very nice of you to sort us out.

The drizzle cafe is great the service is quick food was great and atmosphere was nice the staff is lovely and I personally think it’s the best cafe I been to yet 10/10 recommend it

We have visited this Hotel a number of times when in the area & visiting the Highlands, and it never disappoints. The vista is incredible, on the banks of Loch Shiel overlooking the beauty of Glenfinnan Viaduct & surrounding area. The history exudes through every stone of this beautiful, historic hotel & from the hotel grounds, to its interior, the decor is complementary, beautiful & very charming. Visiting out of season, the hotel is nicely quiet, with friendly & attentive staff, offering excellent service. On this occasion we only visited for drinks, & a bowl of handcut, thick chips, but knowing from previous visits, food is good. In season the dinning & seating areas can get busy, so it is good to book ahead.

We called in today at 3ish. Too late for lunch, so we had a scone, a piece of cake with coffee each. Best scones we have ever had and the cakes are to die for. The staff were really friendly, cant wait to go again.

Wir besuchten die Bäckerei nach einem Tipp im Reiseführer. Die Inhaberin ist sehr nett , die Backwaren sind sehr frisch und schmackhaft ,aber auch überteuert. Der Hausherr bietet Gin/-proben an. Dieser Teil unseres Besuches war nicht so erfreulich. Er trat uns gegenüber sehr herablassend, schnippisch und selbstverliebt auf.Der Gin selbst ist auch überteuert.

Dismal service. Took almost an hour to get food - 2 pizzas and a garlic bread. Food was ok, nothing special, ate half at most. By the time it arrived, needed to eat or would have just left. Owner not helpful, not accepting they were in the wrong and made me feel uncomfortable. Very disappointing. Had been looking forward to it but won’t be back.

Lovely meal, and really lovely team!

Delicious, freshly cooked food. Loads of options. Realy big portion sizes were good value for money. We tried a variety and adults and kids all happy with everything from chicken wings to nigiri to katsu curry and loaded fries. Really friendly staff. Wheelchair accessible entrance and free on street parking. Will definitely be coming back.

Hice un pedido en línea con Just Eat temprano en la tarde del 31 de diciembre para entrega a las 7 pm. El pedido fue reconocido por el restaurante a las 5. 30 pm y alrededor de 6 . 50 pm el sitio de Just Eat se actualizó que la comida estaba en camino. A las 8 de la tarde todavía no había entrega, entró en el sitio de Just Eat para avisar que la entrega se había retrasado, recibió un texto un par de minutos después para avisar que se entregaría a las 8 . 15 pm. A las 9 de la noche la comida todavía no había sido entregada y a pesar de llamar al restaurante más de 30 veces no respondieron su teléfono o la línea estaba ocupada. Mi amiga Louise terminó llevándonos al restaurante para que nos dijeran que la comida estaba en camino. Me dieron una botella de vino para disculparme y empujé hacia la puerta para que nos fuéramos. Ahora son alrededor de las 9. 30 pm y les dijimos que no nos íbamos ya que el restaurante cierra a las 10 pm y no habría manera de obtener nuestra comida entonces! Les dijimos que los llamamos numerosas veces, pero no contestamos ni las líneas estaban ocupadas y él hizo gestos hacia 6 teléfonos en la barra, Louise llamó al restaurante justo en frente de su cara y ninguno de los teléfonos sonó! Un señor mayor llamó al repartidor que dijo que iba de camino a la mía después de su siguiente entrega. Llegamos a la mía a las 9 . 40 pm y el conductor estaba 10 minutos después de nosotros. 2 x poppadoms, ensalada y mi plato de ajo de chile vegetal faltaban y la comida estaba fría. También cuando estuvimos allí, un muchacho entró para averiguar dónde estaba su pedido, ¡se suponía que debía entregarse a las 5 pm! Nunca volveré a usar este restaurante. Una pena que el servicio solía ser muy bueno.

This was our second visit and thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay in this fantastic house. The food is amazing, beautifully presented and you looked forward to every course. The staff were extremely efficient, happy and helpful. Can't wait to return.
