Manuelas Wee Bakery in Highland

Wir besuchten die Bäckerei nach einem Tipp im Reiseführer. Die Inhaberin ist sehr nett , die Backwaren sind sehr frisch und schmackhaft ,aber auch überteuert. Der Hausherr bietet Gin/-proben an. Dieser Teil unseres Besuches war nicht so erfreulich. Er trat uns gegenüber sehr herablassend, schnippisch und selbstverliebt auf.Der Gin selbst ist auch überteuert.

The location looks like a fairy tale. The decoration was nice. You could see how the baker baked. The pastries were special, like the egg muffin. They were also delicious.

Great wee place, delicious pastries and sweet treats. Very quirky and staff friendly. You have to pay this place a visit. Well worth it.

Jarenlang op vakantie in Schotland was het behelpen met het brood. Sinds we Manuela hebben ontdekt zijn we helemaal happy. Heerlijk brood en ook anderen heerlijkheden komen hier uit de oven. Haar brood is ook te koop bij diverse winkeltjes hier in de buurt zoals in Dornie en Reraig. De shortbread die zij bakt is de lekkerste die ik ken.

Wir wurden herzlich empfangen, nach wenigen Sekunden waren wir als deutsche Touristen enttarnt und es ging weiter in deutscher Muttersprache. Wir konnten aus einem Sortiment deutschen Gebäcks wählen, das mit Vertrautem aufwartet aber auch zu Neuem ermutigt. Auch die frische Pizza (nach Vorbestellung) aus dem zuckersüßen Hexenhaus war fein und das kleine Wee House ist kultverdächtig.Empfehlung: Beim Besuch von Eilean Donan Castle mit einplanen - ca. 1 km :)

Cette boulangerie est à découvrir! Les pains et gâteaux sont variés et ceux que nous avons pu tester étaient très bons (ainsi que les "pizzas" et les bretzels au bacon....). De plus, l'accueil y est très sympathique!

La wee bakery de Manuela fût une belle découverte de notre séjour, à 500 mètres de notre location de vacances. Des pains incroyablement variés pour une si petite boutique, des pâtisseries parfaites pour le petit déj, des pizzas bien différentes de ce que l'on peut avoir l'habitude de manger mais néanmoins délicieuses. Les propriétaires sont charmants, souriants, accueillants, un vrai plaisir!
