The best restaurants in Girvan and South Carrick South Ayrshire South West Scotland

Lovely and fresh sat in and quick table service

First I ordered scrambled egg on toast, they brought out scrambled egg with bread and butter, rather than replace it all as the eggs would get cold they replaced the toast. When I ate the eggs they tasted very salty and of fish, I believe this is because they cooked it in the same pan as my friend’s fish and chips and it was truly horrible

Recently moved to the area and this is the best chinese around good was on point

This is more of a gift shop than a garden centre. We stopped in and were really disappointed with the incredibly poor selection of plants, most of which were looking very dry and thirsty. Never stopped for cake as well were too disappointed with the garden selection. The farm shop was also not filled with local farm produce, and instead had mostly shop brand items.

Ordered a meal for my family, service was amazing. Ribs and chicken curry were so delicious, would definitely recommend!!

Food was horrid dry and tasteless only good thing was dips

Have to say that the food was freshly made and tasted delicious. Tea for 4 with hot drinks under £50 was extremely good value. Cannot complain!

Lovely setting beautiful cabins spotless you need a car cause its in a small village 15 miles from Girvan which is a nice wee town plenty other places to visit

Delicious food, cooked fresh. Best prawn toast I’ve had in years. Asked for the Singapore rice noodles to be extra spicy and to add king prawn, they happily obliged and it was delicious. Sit on or take out and they’re licences if you sit in.

Travelled over an hour to have a chippy from here. It was stunning. Perfect service and will be back.

Great staff, great food arrived hot & as always was lovely, delivery drivers are always polite & friendly.

Had lunch here on a quiet Wednesday afternoon. Sits on a busy corner of the main street but once inside it opens into a bar area and good restaurant area and garden overlooking the river( and boatyard). Menu has a good selection of classic pub food. Took a little time for our meal to arrive but as is was freshly made this was not a problem. The boatyard burger was one of the best burgers I have had in years and my wife was delighted with the chicken pie with mash and fresh veg. The chef knows how to cook!! If you are in Girvan this place is worth a visit for the food and the view.

Went in whilst on a trip organised on a tour.. walked in.. traditional old style pub... sat there amongst " proper locals".... Wife n myself could not stop laughing.. whish we had more time to have stayed.. the locals ..3 old women had us in stiches.. proper pub.. proper people.. top marks to all i there..staff n customers..

Every time we're in Girvan we pop in. The food is fantastic & staff are very welcoming.

Not too keen on the curry sauce they make but apart from that, it's ok.
