Just returned from a 2 night stay here. We were in a 2 bed with hot-tub. Lodge 9. We paid less than £190 for the 2 nights which was a steal! Firstly the negatives- and they’re small - the heating system is kinda noisy through the night so if you’re a light sleeper you probably need to turn the individual radiators off. The windows could probably do with an upgrade as they were wooden and that plus no heat due to noise can mean a lot of condensation inside in winter! Positives - price was brilliant for what we had. Lodge was a decent size, contemporary decor, bed was comfortable, kitchen had everything you need (dishwasher, micro, hob, extractor) and all worked well and were well maintained. The little welcome pack was perfect too and handy. Lodge was spotless. I am very picky with this and do dig quite deep but I was very happy. Soft furnishings were clean, skirtings etc all dust free, very few scuffs, bathroom was spotless too. No smell either. Everything nice and fresh. Outside was well maintained. Lovely cushioned seating area, hot tub was very clean and ready for use. An enjoyable extra. Wi-fi worked well, TV worked perfectly. Only little extra that might be good is a tv in one of the bedrooms but that’s personal preference! Reception was nicely decorated and looked recently refurbished. We had the pool to ourselves. Water was warm, pool deck was very clean as was changing area…absolutely spotless! Sauna was lovely especially with it being bitter outside. Lounge area is nice for a coffee. Staff we encountered were friendly, professional and polite. Will I return? Not sure I’d pay the original cost that was showing but for the price we paid for a last minute perk me up on a couple of cold January days it was perfect. Would definitely recommend grabbing a late deal if you see one and I’ll certainly return if I can get one myself.

The chalet was of an exceptional high standard with a bathroom, shower room and en-suite in the 4 bedroom hot tub accommodation. It was a lovely retreat in the countryside with the reception centre providing additional area for swimming, pool table, tennis table and very comfortable seated area for relaxing with a cafe. Staff very friendly and accommodating at centre with additional service of contacting by text available from chalet for check in/ check out and any other help needed. It’s a quiet, serene setting out in the countryside but with Morrisons available within a mile and easy access to larger towns/ attractions by road for Christmas shopping, dining etc. it makes a perfect, luxurious vacation with a blend of relaxing in the countryside with availability of Ayrshire towns/attractions nearby. We go annually to Brunston Castle and come away feeling rested, pampered but wishing we could have stayed longer and with a car full of Christmas presents.

We enjoyed our stay at Brunston Castle, the hotel view is nice and the indoor pool was good to have a swim. Just a few tips : Since due to covid precautions, we needed to check in by ourselves. The door knob of our bungalow required you to push upright until we could lock the door. There was no instructions on the door to do this. It was almost near 8:45pm that we drove to the receptionist to ask for help, like 15 min before the receptionist was about to close. We found this not convenient with no instructions. Also the bungalow’s Wi-Fi was unstable. Overall we still enjoyed, and would come back to stay next year.

Just back from Brunston Castle. We exchanged our Orlando timeshare for a week here and expected a better lodge than we were given. Lodge 35 although clean definitely required updating. It did appear that some of the lodges were being worked on during our stay. On a positive note the staff were friendly and helpful, the grounds are immaculate and if you like peace and quite you won’t be disappointed. Enjoyed the pool area and the gym is reasonably well equipped. However, they are definitely missing a trick with a bar and catering. No proper bar, small cafe area with very poor choice, no real food on offer apart from pizza and cake. In an area with few of these catering facilities they could make a fortune. The local area is stunning and you certainly won’t be lacking views.

This was our 3rd visit to Brunston Castle having travelled in 2010, 2021 and Sat 30/7. We were slightly disappointed with this years lodge, 81 which although clean is in need of updating especially having swapped up a lovely two bedroom apartment in Lanzarote for the stay. Our previous 2021 stay in 77 was a beautiful modernised lodge hence we were slightly disheartened when we first arrived and walked in however beds were comfy, lodge is spacious and has everything you need for a great stay. The staff as always are just excellent. Everyone you meet is exceptionally welcoming, helpful and friendly and great communication from Eileen in reception and Simone who deals with the purchasing of weeks etc and was super informative. Brunston is a wonderful escape in the beautiful countryside not far from the stunning coastline. We love it here, will 100% return and would have given 5✅ If the lodge was modernised.

Working in hospitality myself I am never one to write a bad review as I know how challenging it can be, however the staff at this place need a LOT of training on how to treat their customers. Went on a family trip to Brunston castle with my husband and 7 month old baby, as our first trip away we were excited for the week. Ahead of staying we received a phone call from guest relations to ask if we would be interested in a tour from the guest relations manager, in exchange we would receive our £75 utility bill back. Of course we agreed. I’ll start with the positives. Arrived at the lodge, the grounds were lovely and well kept, the lodge itself was tired and in need of a revamp, spider webs and beasties everywhere but if given a bit of TLC had the potential to be nice. The main reception/bar area was nice to sit and relax. That was where the positives ended. The small pool was yellow round the edges and looked in need of a good clean so we avoided that, the bigger pool was absolutely freezing so we could only stay in for a maximum of 10 minutes with our baby who was chittering in her wetsuit. We had agreed to go meet guest relations on the Tuesday morning at 10am but from we arrived on the Friday received 3 separate calls to try and re-arrange. Obviously on holiday we had things planned so rearranged to meet on the Wednesday morning. We showed up on the Wednesday only to be told the gentleman was busy and couldn’t take us, could we come back later, we said no we had other plans and had now arranged 2 separate times to suit them. He apologised and said for the hassle we would get our utility bill refunded anyway. Well what a lie that was… long story short we were told this payment had been refunded on 3 separate occasions, passed back and forth between guest relations and the reception manager. Eventually after numerous phone calls the reception manager said her hands were tied and she ‘couldn’t’ refund unless we came back to stay and done a tour and asked why we would want to anyway if the place was so run down, her attitude was shocking. Of course as we were told we were getting refunded the money and believed that would be the case, we spent a little extra on our time at Brunston than originally planned. In these hard economic times I think we can all agree money is a little tighter than before… so to be left out of pocket, and no apology is a bit disappointing. We certainly won’t be back.

The roads both to and in the resort are in a very poor state. Our lodge was in real need of updating, although the WORST thing was the three piece suite, which quite frankly would have been refused by a charity shop!!! SO soiled and worn were the arms that we spent the entire week with bath towels wrapped around the arms, just so we felt comfortable enough to sit on it. An alternative lodge was suggested, but this was only 2-bed (ours was a 3), and we were also told that the bathrooms were older than those of the lodge we had been allocated, so we stayed put. Two days after checking in, we were offered another lodge, and we were stunned by the difference between that one and the one we were in - it was in a MUCH better state of decoration; the furniture and furnishings were not only MUCH newer, but they were also MUCH better quality. There was attention to detail (eg. matching cushions on the sofa) that were completely lacking in our lodge. However, the thought of having to shift all our belongings (we don't travel light) after two days really did not appeal, so we stayed put. The grounds could do with a bit more planting and a bit more colour - on a grey Scottish day the whole resort looks drab. One plus is the bar area, which has recently been upgraded. To be honest though, without a SUBSTANTIAL amount of investment, it's unlikely that the resort will be able to improve a great deal.

MORE AT TripAdvisor

Let me start by saying the staff here are excellent, polite, caring, helpful, patient and accommodating; you could not ask for more. Brunson Castle lodges are sited in a quiet Hamlet of Dailly, on a hillside, with stunning views into the countryside. The site has a small clubhouse which provides, tea, coffee, hot snacks and limited alcohol. There is a comfortable seating area akin to a hotel lounge. DVDs are available to hire, there is a pool table, table tennis table, swimming pool and kids play area. The lodges are clean, tidy and well kept. The choice of grey decor is a little, overwhelming with everything in our lodge being a shade of grey, apart from the dining table. Designed to accommodate 8, the lodge is more suited to 6 adults. The two twin rooms are small, and suitable for one teenage kid each in reality. The showers are all electric but provide good power, the bedrooms upstairs are not overly large but comfortable. Towels were provided, along with gowns and slippers. On the downside, there is WiFi but it was running at under 1Mbps, not enough to even check email. This was mentioned to the reception but nothing was done. This does mean that a TV which is fitted with streaming service would only work on the free view service provided by the aerial. Other seasons lodges elsewhere have Sky dishes, here TV is limited. If Internet is essential then get the staff to run a speed check In your allocated lodge. The beds were very hard and the pillows equally so, so you may wish to pack pillows from home. The sofa was uncomfortable and with 5 of us sat on it, crowded and cramped. The kitchen is equipped with basic pots, pans, crockery etc, but it is not high end. The lodges here are in no way iconic and are actually basic. If you are thinking of joining seasons be warned that the star locations are limited in number and the non-iconic lodges are nowhere near as nice. Did we have a good holiday? Yes. Excellent golf, some great places to eat, especially Souters Inn. Plenty of distilleries, coastal walks and of course the Robert Burns trail. I would recommend starting your holiday at the Burns museum and then the entire area comes to life through the Burns connection.

Had a week in a timeshare lodge. The decor and furniture was a bit dated and in need of freshening up but it was clean and fairly well equipped. Shame the facilities on site were closed due to Covid as they looked really nice. We got a bit caught out as there was no washing machine in the lodge and the laundry room in the main building was closed (something to check if you're going). The staff were really helpful and easily contactable. Onsite takeaway pizzas and the fish and chip van were both great. It looked like every lodge was occupied but the park was still really quiet. We had a lovely week and it's a great spot for exploring Ayrshire.

Speedy informative responses from booking the lodge and throughout the week from the staff. Speedy resolution when required. Could have done with launderette being available as per hoseasons website but I think the site is moving away from Hoseasons and the info isn’t quite correct. Good location for Girvan and Ayr.

I dont even know where to start with this review. When we arrived for check in, even though we had a booking confirmation with booking number, there was apparently no record of our booking on their system. The receptionist was very u helpful to say the least and did absoluteiy nothing to reassure us. Eventually she managed to find us the lodge with hot tub that we had booked. The hot tub wasnt turned on so couldnt be used that evening which was very disappointing. After a couple of days we requested fresh towels as we were only supplied with one towel per person for the entire week for use with the hot tub and shower, but were told that if we wanted fresh towels we had to pay £1.50 per towel. Bearing in mind that we had paid £250 per night for this luxury accommodation, we found that this charge for towels was absolutely ridiculous. Again the staff were very unhelpful to the point of almost rude. The resort itself, if you could call it a resort, is well laid out but offers zero onsite facilities. The lodge itself was lovely and we were very happy with it. The roads around the resort are abaolyteky awful and great care had to be taken while driving to our lodge to not destroy our car. There is a playpark on site, but it looks like it was put there 50 years ago and my children had no desire to use it. On the day of departure, with a very early checkout time of 10am (very early considering check in is really late at 5pm!) I went around the lodge, stripping the beds and gathering a couple of dirty towels etc to help the cleaning staff, washed all the dishes, took out our rubbish, but today we have received an email to say that due to the extra cleaning needed we were being charged £50!!! I'm am beyond lost for words!! The lodge was left obviously in used condition as we had stayed there for a week but it was most certainly not a mess!!!! I cannot help but think this is how the company are trying tj recoup losses through covid and is totally unacceptable!!!I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The staff (apart from the maintenance people who were very efficient) were rude and unhelpful, the lodge is not luxury and doesnt warrant the price tag given, there are zero facilities onsite or anywhere close by. I would absolutely never recommend this to anyone and would most certainly never return, nor would I ever use accommodation supplied by Hoseasons

It was badly in need of a refurbishment, which will hopefully be done in the near future. We were informed by reception that the refurbished lodges were allocated to Hoseasons guests only and not to exchange guests. I have informed Interval International of this as the photos and details are of the new lodges. A lot of the fixtures and furnishings were loose or broken and the 2 twin bedrooms downstairs were very dismal. We also found the kitchen utensils lacking and some in a poor state for our 6 occupants, never mind a possible 8!!! Pictures online show cabins that have been remodeled. Warning not all have been remodeled. My confirmation said there would be a utilities charge of 42 pounds (which is ridiculous anyway) when I checked in they charged me 50 pounds. The fine print says subject too change without notice so guess they can charge you whatever they want. Then when we went to take a shower, no hot water. Turns out the hot water heater is on a timer. So I paid for hot water I am not even making. We got in late to a freezing cold cabin, killed no less than 10 spiders. That tells me this cabin hadn't been used or cleaned for awhile. The gal was real nice when I reported no hot water but frustrating that I am paying for electricity I can not use. The pool was nice, but no hot tub. The lounge is nice and playground. Looks pretty new. Rambling with Room was very informative but be aware, wear long pants (stinging nettles), and sturdy shoes ( can be muddy), and it will cover about 3 miles and 3 hours. On our first night had to get rid of 7 spiders and on our second woke up at 1:15am to find three in the room and about 5 in the hall and bathroom combined, I understand the staff can’t do anything about bugs and all but the lodges down the bottom of the park are in my opinion more affected by it due to the woodland area next to the lodge, I have a deep fear of spiders and really did consider leaving my family here in the middle of the night ( decided against it obviously) the park itself was very good and couldn’t fault just this has put a damper on my holiday

We booked Brunston Castle lodge at Hogmanay for 5 days , For 6 of us travelling we booked a 4 bed house. I can honestly say it lived up to and surpassed our expectations especially for the price. We had a Turnberry lodge over 2 floors. Huge living/dining room the living room could do with a lamp for ambience. Decent sized kitchen and all utilities you needed especially for cooking a New Years Day Dinner. The kitchen was organised well and the dishwasher was a welcome addition.

We visited in November in the evening. On arrival we were surprised how packed it was, considering the position. We were seen to by very friendly attentive staff and shown to a window table, during the day or in the summer this would have had a fantastic view of the golf course. The menu was very good, there was a choice off the main menu plus they also had a special set menu with various choices and course on. Some of us had one and others had the other. They were all equally delightful. The hardest thing was leaving afterwards we had enjoyed ourselves so much and would in fact have eaten there more if we had discovered it sooner.

We hired a 2 bed lodge at Brunston Castle for the weekend with our kids who are 17 and 8. Lodge was so comfortable and clean and had everything we needed. I loved the wee extras they include like a tourch for those late night walks.

We stayed for a long weekend in a lodge that slept 4 and had a private hot tub. The Lodge was very well decorated and had everything you need. It was spotless and warm with free wifi. The hot tub was great. I was impressed with the club house as well. It had a pool table, table tennis and swimming pool, with sauna and a gym. Great base for exploring Ayrshire, not far from Culzean Castle and the lovely beach at Maidens. If you like a wee adventure it's right next to a massive ruined castle, Dalquharran. Although, you're not really supposed to go there :)

Booked this as a last minute trade & have been pleasantly surprised how nice it is. The site is well laid out & the properties are a good size. The views are good & it is very quiet as their are no dogs allowed and the games room, swimming pool & reception are a short distance away from the properties. The downsides are that the property we had looks slightly dated, there aren't enough sockets in accessable areas & the hot water only half filled a bath. Still a nice place.

Arrived Saturday for a weeks visit. Pleasantly surprised at the new coffee/cafe bar. Nicely decorated and a good place for a lunch. Swimming pool completely refurbished which our grandchildren liked especially the splash fun hour. The lodges are very well equipped with e erything you could possibly need for self catering. We were a family of 6 and had 3 bedrooms a bathroom and an extra toilet and hand basin. Lounge was nicely decorated and our patio was lovely. It’s on Brunson golf course which is a challenging course which my husband and son in law played. They hired a buggy so a very enjoyable game was had . We had a lovely Sunday lunch and got a discount because we were staying at Brunston. Staff very accommodating.

Our first visit to the area and we were not disappointed. Would recommend a sat nav to find the site though, some very narrow and uneven roads to drive down. On arrival, booking in was very quick and a friendly service was given. The lodges are very well spaced out but quite hilly for people who are bad walking. The reception area has a tea/coffee relaxation room and a very nice indoor swimming pool, all free to use. Once inside our chalet I was suprised at how much space we had. 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms a large kitchen area, very nice lounge area which had ample seating and a veranda with loungers and a table and 6 chairs. In the kitchen we had a fridge/freezer, cooker, washing machine/drier, dishwasher, toaster and all the usual utensils. In the lounge area we had ample comfy seating, a tv, dvd player and radio/cassette player. The internal roads around the site could do with smoothing out as they are a bit bumpy but a 1 way system is used which is helpful. There is a fantastic 18 hole golf course 100yds from the site which is often empty. Lots of countryside walks around the site and the overall lay out is very good, very scenic views. On site entertainment is very limited with no bar but a 15 minute walk into Dailly village you will find the Central Bar which has the friendliest people on earth and they made our group of 6 most welcome from walking into the place. All 6 of us have promised to go back again next year, Im 61 and have to say I haven't enjoyed a holiday as much for many many years.

Stayed here in a four bed lodge with hot tub this past weekend for a family 60th birthday celebration. The lodges were finished to a high standard and the hot tub was great. Pity the other hot tub was only fixed as we were leaving. The lodges were excellent. On Saturday afternoon my wife, 4 year old daughter and i decided to visit the swimming pool where i decided to swim under water but swam straight into a hidden wall it seemed on the floor as there is a large change in depth suddenly at half way. I felt a bit silly about it so didnt say to the staff member on duty, however, i did get a nasty bump on my head and nearly bit the end of my tongue off, and after thinking on it i think there should be a clear sign to indicate what is a significant change in depth that remains unseen to prevent further instances.

Our party of four stayed in one of the newly refurbished ‘Sleep 6’ lodges at Brunston Castle and had a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The bungalow had been nicely updated and it was also well equipped, with plenty of crockery and cutlery for six people. There is also a decked area outside from which you can appreciate the local views.

We as a family of 4 (children now 11 years of age) have stayed at Brunston Castle every year for the past eleven years, it is always a great relaxing holiday for us, the accommodation is always clean and well kept, we usually have a four or sleep six apartment, comfy beds, well heated, great kitchen with all utensils you need if you prefer to cook in. TV. Balcony with views. Great for star gazing or catching the sun! Good sized and clean swimming pool, paddling pool, Sauna and gym. The play area has a Pool table and table tennis table. Lovely new seating area, great place to catch a coffee and cake, free wifi. If you don't want a dip you can keep your eyes on the kids in the pool. The staff are always friendly, polite and helpful.

The accommodations ranging from two to four bedded are well appointed and very clean. The site itself is well maintained, though the road needs some attention . The staff will go out of their way to help and any maintenance problems reported are dealt with immediately where possible. We have stayed here a number of times and always enjoyed it.

Took my family (all 6 of us) to stay at this great holiday location outside Girvan, Ayrshire. We stayed in a detached stone-built lodge, and had a fab. time. There's a good restaurant on site, and pleanty to see and do in the area, especially visiting Culzean Castle. Would happily repeat this experience.

We swopped our timeshare to visit Scotland. Accommodation very clean with good facilities. Bed rock hard. This is very rural. You need to drive 5 miles to the coast at Girvan which isn't a very inspiring town. Use this as a base for Arran, Glasgow, Stirling, Falkirk Wheel. Keen walkers this is ideal as swimming pool lovely to relax your muscles. Adjoining golf club serves meals but shuts at 9 so bed by 10.

I do not recommend. I ordered a wrap yesterday. I can't eat spicy food! I said three times that I would like it not spicy! if it wasn't spicy they could say. The place is clean, the service is very nice but unfortunately… I got it so spicy that the whole thing went in the trash

We visited for brunch this week, it took a long time to get service. When we did order we had a lengthy wait for the food. The food arrived and it was mediocre, the eggs were over cooked and lukewarm warm. We have eaten here before and the food was good but a big disappointment this visit.
