Great wee cafe got take away for beach on first day and then later came down to sit in the cafe services was heat staff were super friendly

This place is on our way to the caravan and we always stop to get a fish supper and sit in the car loving it. Good food good service from friendly staff that are very busy.

Best haggis and black pudding I have ever eaten, very tasty chips. Big portions. We couldn't get enough of it. Very friendly and quick service. Clean premises and food wrapped in a layer of newspaper. I will definitely be back. Free parking can be easily found on the road.

Worst take away I have ever had food had been blanched and left on hot plate to be reheated waste of money got binned not be visiting there again

This is one of the best chip shops anywhere. I don't know how it doesn't win awards. P.S. Google, this is The Harbour Cafe and Grazianos. The Harbour Bar is across the street.

Good old-fashioned fish and chip shop. Great eating in had fish chips with bread and butter. Also, I love a bag of chips with lots of salt and viniger down on the beach. It's worth taking a drive for. Girvan is very dog friendly.

No Parking, Double Yellow Lines EVERYWHERE. 3 Small bays outside. Bays round corner always Heaving. Ques out the Door and Staff asking customers to repeat their orders.. I was asked to repeat my order 4 Times (annoying) write orders down with a surname. Food itself average Chip Shop Fayre Nothing special. All in all a rather stressful experience from start to finish and not worth the hassle. AVOID.

Lovely light none greasy crispy fish batter and very fresh fish. Young girl who served us was very polite.

Lovely little cafe/chip shop. The food was great, and the staff were so friendly. The only negative was that there's no toilet. You need to use the public toilets across the street. But other than that, we'll definitely be back.

Denis and Clare the rutherglen pair was going to into the cafe on Saturday 31st of August 2024 But we did not stay not because it was busy it was because they no toilet facilities it was written at the door of the cafe We where very surprised that they getting away with it since you have adults and children there having there meals ect ect specially when adults and children specially babies need changing they have large cafe serving meals all day we are very surprised that they getting away with it different if it says toilet facilities are for customers only.

First time in got the haggis supper great food👍 fresh and hot 🔥 prices were good also staff were very friendly best chippy I've had in years.

Feels a bit like the chippys we used to go to as kids on holiday, which is a happy memory anyway. The service is quick and the staff are lovely. The food itself is the best anywhere in the area, it's really lovely.

Very good traditional Fish and chips diner. Both fish and chips were amazing, been a bit put of by the slice of untoasted white slice of bread given to me as a starter but then I realised I'm in UK and simplicity regarding food is out of the scale here :-D

Had fish and chips...delicious, freshly cooked 2 pieces of fish wow. Would have given 10 stars 🌟 🤩 if I could. Have stopped here twice and both times first class.

Dropped in here on the way to the ferry. Placed our order & watched subsequent customers come and go. It appears the locals are given priority here. We were put to the back of the queue. Not a good experience at all. Can't recommend. Poor service.

Great wee pub to stop off on trip to Girvan

We had Lunch, wife had a bacon roll and I had Curry chips, food was excellent, but seating a bit cramped.

Great place for food, chips were unreal. But when you stop in for a bite to eat and there are no toilets, this was disappointing. I thought this was a legal requirement, but maybe different rules in Scotland.

Everything was freshly cooked, tasted great and reasonably priced.

Came with my family, including my dad who is in a wheelchair, the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, they had a ramp for us to bring him in and helped seat him. They couldn't do enough for us during our visit

So disappointed. After having had lovely food here in the past we decided to have lunch here yesterday. We ordered 3 small fish suppers. The fish wasn't fresh, tasteless near transparent, greying flesh with a slimy texture. Obviously had been frozen. We won't return.

Food was shockingly bad. Fish was FULL of bones, gave up eating it after the literal 15th bone. Fritters were caked in grease and hard. Poor quality food. Came back in 2018 and 2021, the food was great, not sure what’s happened since then!

Tried this place and never ever again , fish oil was burnt thus ruining any fish supper, the fish was tasteless with no texture and certainly wasn't haddock ! Sausages were pretty rubbish too and not traditional chip shop sausages ! Just a waste of money

Got lovely fish & chips from here late Sept 23. Busy place when ordering at the takeaway fish bar - you had to be on the ball and know your order (the local boys surely did) ! You did feel as if you hesitated for a second you were going to get scowled at 😬😅. Interesting & worth a visit for good food & the potential for looking stupid.

Asked for a smoked sausage supper, then noticed how nice fish looked and asked if I could change. I was told pretty forcefully by the lady , "we've already cooked the smoked sausage !!!!" There was a queue out the door ,surely someone else could have bought it . Won't be back

Modest cafe attached to Fish & Chip Shop with usual fare (fish & chips etc) - the battered haggis/black pudding combo is quite tasty but felt re-heated. Chips were tired and did not appear fresh.

Excellent fish and chips and the service was really friendly. It was nice to watch the young lady who served us constantly finding work to do and never standing around.

Visited yesterday for our usual choice of fish supper and haggis supper. Unfortunately the fish & haggis batter was very overdone, dark & crispy. Could only eat the food inside the batter. Chips were good though. These days a fish supper is not cheap so it should be cooked properly to allow enjoyment and value for money.

Staff so unfriendly, our plates were flung on the table in front of us, I was left with a very bad food poisoning due to over cooked food that had obviously been lying for ages and reheated, definitely would not recommend the place should be closed down.

For a modest chippy, this place takes some beating! The gaffa & his staff are so warm, smiley & lovely! All our ‘southerner’ questions they were happy to accommodate. We decided upon a fish supper & a haggis supper too (since we had to try the local delicacies 😉). Freshly cooked & delicious, I would highly recommend 👍🏼💚☺️

What a lovely little chippy by the harbour! No frills but service was excellent, really friendly girls who went out of their way to help. Had a small fish tea which was just perfect and when I saw the size of the large, I knew I'd never have managed!! Food was fresh and tasted great and really reasonable prices. Would definitely return next time I'm up!

One of the best fish and chips I've ever had. The fish were nice and soft, don't even need a knife to cut it. The batter was so lovely I could've eaten it on its own. 10/10 would come again.

Called in at lunch time, steps up to door and one of party in wheelchair, not too much of an issue as portable ramp brought out by staff so could get through the door. Food good simple and old fashioned, chose pie and chips. pie was full of meat with chip shop chips, sandwiches made fresh to order. Lovely friendly and helpful staff. Will be back next year when in Girvan again.

Busy wee place ...some loud lady in when we were in but family and kids having a great time at family dinner .. nice to see Lovrly friendly staff and tasty well priced food ..great locstion to for parking etc

Friendly staff big portions reasonable prices, what's not to like, well worth a visit if your in the area, right on the harbour with convenient free parking
