my husband and i got married at smiths on the 12/02/2025 ,we had a long drive up from the ferry to Gretna , when we arrived we met up with Derry our coordinator who went through our schedule and was such a lovely bubbly person who made us feel so relaxed ,we then checked in as we were staying in the penthouse suite and it was everything i had seen on the website , i really loved the jacuzzi ,the front staff were very pleasant and really nice ,we were a bit late for our afternoon tea but derry arranged to put it bac a bit .all in all our experience at Gretna green was fantastic and more than i imagined it would be , even the spoilt at smiths salon was wonderful they done my hair beautifully and made me feel really special ,they too were lovely and welcoming .we met Stewart our registrar and he made our day so funny and relaxed .thank you Stewart for our wonderful day . thank you to Derry for all the photos , i was absolutely stunned by how beautiful Gretna was we made sure to take loads of photos for those precious memories the restaurant staff were very nice when we went down for our wedding dinner .i had my aunt and uncle with us , they loved the dinner and how professional everyone was and so pleasant .they kept our cake for us to collect when we were checking out . what can I say .we both had a wonderful experience at Gretna green ,so easy to plan our wedding and stress free .

What a lovely hotel, lots of beautiful brides waiting to get married at the anvil. Staff very attentive, Lovely meals.

From start to finish, just lovely! Home cooked food, with a genuine warm welcome. very reasonable (if not too cheap?) I'd highly recommend. Plus their original reciepe ice cream is to die for!

We booked for a lunch after a marriage ceremony at Gretna Green for 20 people. Such a lovely place, staff are efficient and very plesant, food was good home cooked fare and the premises were clean and tidy. We had the use of a dining space that was screened off from the main room, this gave enough space for 2 excited toddlers to have a run round too. This was a byo (buy your own) event and was enabled by quick and efficient staff. Thank you for you patience & attention today, we really appreciate your diligence and mindfulness today, thank you for making the day special.

My family called in for a meal on our way home from Scotland. The boy who served us, Dylan, definitely deserves a five star rating. Nothing was too much trouble and he made sure we had everything we needed. The menu choice was very good and very large servings! I would definitely recommend a meal here.

This restaurant is part of Smiths hotel at Gretna Green. We were in the final days of our holiday in Scotland and wanted to have a special meal. We were staying at the hotel and saw this had good reviews. Well it didn’t disappoint. It was good that you could pick and mix from the a la carte menu and the bar menu. Every course was very good. Because we had courses from both menus I didn’t think it was too expensive. The service was good although it was very busy with other events going on. The staff were kept busy but were still attentive to our needs. Would recommend if you want something special or just for an evening meal.

We Thought we would give the place a try, as its been open a few years and had mixed review. We had aKorma with Rice. The Rice was not cooked with a lot of grainy bits. and the corma was look warm and i put it in a pan and heated it up. We also had a Pizza that was not all that good considering the price. We will not use this place again as better food in Longtown even with the 12 mile trip.

Coach Trip Comfort break was a rush affair due to having to go to various stations for food ,tea and coffee and cutlery, the food was addequate but not over exciting...It filled the gap

Stayed in the 3 bed villa in the hotel grounds. Dinner in the hotel was brilliant. All 4 of us enjoyed our selected, and different choices. Despite not being resident breakfast the next day was, again, superb. Thank you.

Called in here for a bite to eat and overall very happy, bit of a limited menu but each managed to find something suitable, service very good and friendly and the food was very nice and tasty special mention to the sticky toffee pudding for dessert which was fantastic. Sadly I have been to a couple of eateries in the gretna area in the past which have fallen below an acceptable level for me but this is not one of them and would certainly return here.
