Coach Trip Comfort break was a rush affair due to having to go to various stations for food ,tea and coffee and cutlery, the food was addequate but not over exciting...It filled the gap

We spent time here this afternoon & had coffee here in the sunshine. A beautiful setting for a cafe with very friendly & helpful staff.

This cafe within Thornton's Sweet shop offers a good food selection, the cafe is not over large and can get over-run at times, the staff are always friendly despite the constant customer pressure.

Stopping off for a break whilst travelling up to the Highlands I bought a scone with butter and jam. This scone was disgusting, the mixture was not prepared properly so their were white ingredients showing and no glazing the whole scone crumbled into a MESS when cut in half. The staff exchanged the scone for me so first class service. That is why three stars 🌟 other than that please sort out your scone maker. Not a good advertisement for your cafe.

This popular Thorntons café offers freshly prepared hot drinks, it is usually busy so you may have to Q but it's worth it. snack food is available plus at the other end of the café a wide range of Thorntons chocolates and ice creams are available.

Café is light and airy, average range of food, but we like to pop in for a cuppa while shopping. Staff are ok and the tables were cleared regularly.

Has enough shops and eateries to keep anyone happy. From a full meal to hot potato to sandwiches it has to be worth a visit.

We stopped here for a bite and toilet break on our way to Edinburgh. The cafe is quite big with a good selection of food. It's clean and affordable and is lined with tourist shops on both sides.

Although the receipt's show Gretna Green Cafe outside it is Thornton's Coffee shop. It's in the outlet village about two thirds of the way down on the right hand side if starting at the M&S end. You can get a good cup of coffee "regular size" (and it's enough) for £2.10. They do lots of pasteries as well as filled rolls. We had a caramel shortcake at £1.99 and an apple danish at £1.90. Service is quick and efficient and staff are friendly. They also give you a free Thornton's chocolate each to have with your snack.

We had a short stop here on our way home to Leeds travelling from Arrochar. Very pleasant, good coffee, nice selection of buns no scones, very reasonably priced. Service was good, which we needed as we only had a short stay.

My husband and I arrived at 12.45pm and joined a very long queue. It took around 25 minutes to be served (only 2 staff behind the counter serving at one stage but at the most there was 3). We ordered soup of the day which should come with a crusty roll but they had run out of bread! At that time of day with large queues and soup still being served they SHOULD have ensured that there was plenty of bread or gone out and got more. No way to run a café, this was a Sunday coming up to Christmas at staff should have been geared up for a busy time and had both plenty of staff serving and plenty of basics like bread! Not acceptable by any stretch of the imagination. Giving us a discount for no bread was not enough, it simply should not have happened and neither should the 25 minutes it took to get served.

Awful...avoid. You can tell the owner has lost interest. Carpets coming away on stairs, fraid carpets in bedroom, hole in bedroom wall, tiny tv, bedding dirty, everything dated and feels dirty. Only decent thing was breakfast...do not book unless desperate.

Breakfast seemed a fair price, but on arrival left a bit to be desired. Grilled tomatoes were warmed only and the sausage was small considering it was the only one on the plate.

My wife and I buy from this establishment on a regular basis and find them hard to beat, the quality of their products are second to none. Well done to all concerned
