Amazing service, the staff were fantastic. Food was very good and good size portions.

Great choice on menu with splendid food and attentive service. Will go again.

Had a meal here with my family, service was not great. Basically felt like, sit yourself over there and ill get with you at some point. Main courses were nice, price felt a little high for the quality though. The cheesecake had split and the portion was small. Probably won't be back.

Had friends come to visit and we took them here for tea before they left, food was really good and staff was very nice, we were looked after. We will definitely be back.

We had a lovely Sunday dinner, very nice starter the soup was delicious will definitely recommend to all.

First visit to Greens for a family lunch. Absolutely first class all round. Staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was wonderful - fresh and hot and generous portions, all reasonably priced. And on top of everything, very dog friendly. Would definitely recommend, and will be back.

Didn't like the food the place was huge but nobody in it felt sorry for the kids that worked there, it's as if it was about to shut down.

Went here on Bank Holiday Sunday we were the only people in restaurant. Ordered from menu fish and chips, food was terrible, sent it back and asked for a refund. Will not be returning the venue looks good from outside but that's all.

We booked for a meal after our friends got married. The food was delicious and the staff were so helpful. Would definitely go back if we are in the area again.

A very good meal and because we both wanted the same special and they only had one we were asked if we wanted a free desert plus a refund of the difference in price of the 2 meals without having to ask. Food was cooked nicely and hot. Service was good.

Called in for food, and it was very underwhelming. Cesar salad tasted like sardines or similar. It was quite and kids orders were still wrong! Unfortunately we'll be in no rush back 😕

Fantastic entrance. Beautiful decor in the lounge and restaurant area. Rooms are clean and spacious. Wedding service in the conservatory was small and compact, ideal for the intimate wedding we were looking for.

Stayed there for our wedding night nice enough hotel small and quite would go again just as a break from the hustle and bustle if everyday life

Had a nights stay here, but couldn’t sleep. Strange smell that was either their heating system or a very strong chemical in the room with the result of a headache all night. But on the up side breakfast was 10 out 10 .

Room was very dated bathroom needed a deep clean was there on the £80 deal a set menu not a great choice so asked for other menu but was told this was all we can have there was four of us willing to pay extra for extended menu unfortunately could not do this so opted for deal menu I’ve got to say worst food I have ever had only good thing was staff were friendly So we decided to go out to Gretna Inn can honestly say got to be the most awful bar we have been in the place was absolutely disgusting plus the Language of the latest calls and bar staff was Unbelievable did not feel safe at all so we all walked out so will never be back to Greens or Gretna was ver again such a shame as we were so looking forward to our over night stay

Having had a few booking issues, I was very apprehensive. But once at the hotel was pleasantly surprised. Very friendly staff, all the team had a permanent smile and a warm welcome. Dinner was lovely, fresh produce and again very good service. Breakfast was well cooked and fresh. Our second evening meal was just as lovely, although service a little bit slower, even though the restraunt was very quiet. Second breakfast, a little dry as if had been sitting for a while. Overall a pleasant stay, rooms need to be updated, but believe that is hand. Front door definitely need looking at. All in all would recommend,

Lovely hotel. Quiet, clean, comfortable and helpful staff, for an amazing price. The hotel is the first hotel in Scotland (on this route) The restaurant has a good choice of food for an evening meal, however the quality of my Gammon & chips was nothing more than OK, for a price of £13.50, and I feel that for that price it should have been outstanding. There are other places to eat nearby. Breakfast was very nicely presented, good range of choices and delicious. My room (104) was large, with double bed and a door onto a little terrace outside. Bathroom fittings were dated but functional and clean. The bath was an original Jacuzzi bath! One last point is that my satnav took me to the rear entrance, which apparently is common. Stick to the main road through the village and you'll find the hotel at the rear of the South Car park.

Chinese/Japanese garden isnt what it was made out to be what it says and ponds full of algi chose this hotel for those points

The staff made a mistake, I had a breakfast booked but they said I hadn't so I left to go to work without eating. The place is ok the staff not so much.

Lovely hotel, decor a bit dated but very clean, rooms were very generous size. Breakfast was ok but they seem to put out the minimum of everything so you had to wait around a lot with half a breakfast going cold whilst you waited for them to replace the other items. Reception staff were lovely and friendly

Arrived at 6.45 asked if we needed to book dinner for 8 was told no, unpacked bags went down for dinner at 8 to be told they are too busy to fit us in. During our 3 night stay our key card failed around 5 times. Empty hand-wash in Bathroom, hardly any shower gel on the wall, empty tissue box in bathroom, no pressure to the shower, just dribbled out water, wardrobe doors almost come off when you try to slide them open, no plug socket near to mirror to do hair. The only good thing about the hotel was the restaurant and the hairdressers.

Stayed here for one night on way up North as in a good location to break up a long drive. Hotel was nice enough and food was reasonable. I would say however the room I had was a bit dated and the bed was pretty awful. I actually felt the springs in the mattress! It's a useful stopover hotel but check you're happy with the room when you arrive!

Was there for my sons wedding reception 3 course meal what a disaster starters came 6.30 then waited a full hour for our mains to arrive, not enough staff pre ordered the meals for staff to get the orders wrong my food was cold my 2 grandaughters chicken dippers were over cooked and hard chicken was actually like straw it was that dry peas hard and dried up hence we didn't eat our meals. Then an hour later came out with the deserts at the time I had gone outside with my grandaughters to come back in to find the deserts had been given out and mine hadn't been given so ended up with no desert for the money we paid was a total rip off, my daughter in law was in tears as she wanted a perfect day and all she could hear was people complaining about their food totally ruined the evening

Was there as a Taxi Driver to pick up a wheelchair client. Went in to use the loo. The establishment looked very impressive,but as I did not eat or drink there l could not comment on that. Could well be 5*'s.

Stopped for a bite to eat on our way south. Excellent meal and service. Very pleasant and helpful staff.

Lovely big rooms and a windy breakfast

Nice hotel food can be a hit or a miss

Such a great location and service from the staff but the rooms what a let down. Firstly our large party was located all over the hotel 1st floor and 2nd floor yes there was a lift at one end of the hotel shame that all the rooms we were assigned were a route march away from it. And most people were old and with walking frames and sticks. Then the rooms all different but all needing new mattresses and most had damaged furniture, our bathroom had a jacuzzi bath only it didn't , it wasn't wired or plumbed in, the extractor fan was hanging out of the roof and I had to push it back in. The bathes in a couple of the rooms were so high off the floor several of the party were unable to get in them and had to use other members of the party's bathrooms. Reception had nothing to offer.

Fabulous 3 course carvery with family. The food was hot, tasty and plenty of choice will definitely return. The cocktails were also delicious.

Family room very big and spacious. Great shower although bathroom could do with an update ( crack in sink). Buffet breakfast with good variety. Small dinner menu but good food.

A very welcome stop after a terrible day

A very relaxing stay in lovely surroundings. Staff friendly and helpful. Room well equipped and spacious. Food of a high standard most enjoyable One of our favourite places.

Stood at reception and two members of staff from different areas walked past without acknowledging us. A staff member called us the night before and asked if we wanted to upgrade our room to having a balcony. For an additional charge. We agreed. What a rip off Our balcony looked straight on to a large black roof. No view of anything. Restaurant staff were pleasant

Me and my husband got married in this hotel 11th may 2002, we stayed in a superior room for 2 nights with 4 poster bed which was perfect, we are going back to celebrate our 17th wedding anniversary this year I cant wait, our wedding day was the best day of our lives, everything was perfect for our special day we had 56 guests, sit down 3 course meal which was beautiful, we booked most of our guests with overnight stay on night of wedding, nothing was to much for the staff they were so friendly and helpful they made sure our day was perfect in everyway, we are booked in for our overnight stay 11th may 2019 cant wait to go back, more memory's to treasure .

I am a coach driver so basically live in hotels. I have never commented on a hotel. This is one of the best rooms I've ever had. Staff were great. Room bigger than my flat in London. Love the garden. Would give it a 5☆
