We from wales and decided to give this restaurant a try, very nice steaks and every dish was perfectly presented and prepared, even with kids plenty of options Would highly recommend

Lovely wee place we came across when visiting dumfries. My daughter is celiac so had plenty of choices for her. I ordered a cocktail and my daughter a mocktail so tasty. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Wonderful late lunch, one of the few places open on a Sunday afternoon. Service was first class, food was great too.

Slightly later than the original estimate but as per previous orders food was excellent.

OH MY LORD! The corner really has went above and beyond. Steak tonight was 1000 out of 10! It was absolutely amazing! Thank you so much to the lovely staff for sending a free bottle of wine with my order, you really have went above and beyond. This steak tonight is so good. Thank you x

Wasn’t impressed with the steak tonight, I have contacted the corner and just eat as £62 on a meal for it to come over cooked isn’t ideal, the corner didn’t rectify my issue they told me to contact justeat which I did. This is the first problem I’ve had with the corner and I’m unimpressed I’ve to wait for a response from justeat! Waste of £62! When ordering a steak you expect it to be the way you order it but unfortunately mine was cremated not medium rare as stated in the order!!

Was phoned by the restaurant to cancel order. I tried, i also phoned just eat and they contacted the restaurant. Food was delivered 2 hour later and no refund. Will not be returning

This is one of the very few places in Dumfries town centre that's open on a Sunday! The kids' meals came really quickly but there was quite a long wait for the adults' food. Really friendly staff who made sure the tiny ones were kept busy while waiting. Food isn't bad and servings are generous. Their homemade lemonades are a must try!

Just eat made a complete mess of the order and delivery at no fault of The Corner Eatery. Corner Eatery were fantastic, went out of their way to help. Sent out fresh food at a cost to themselves (we’ll make sure to use our Just Eat refund here) Food was absolutely delicious as always. Never ever had a disappointing meal from The Corner Eatery. We visited this restaurant twice in one week. We have 2 small kids (2&4) and are quite settled on what food they want each day. Both times we went there, a the chef went out of his way to make us our exact food for the children,(home-cooked and fresh). The staff were so welcoming and understanding of how to look after families. Couldn’t fault it at all.

Food was pretty good, but quite expensive

Absolutely delicious- I think pilau rice doesn’t go as good as pain basmati rice with this dish but everything was so good!!

Absolute hidden gem, made the most of the nice weather in the lovely beer garden. Food and drinks came quickly and tasted wonderful, a lot of options for dietary requirements and staff were very nice and welcoming. Absolutely recommend

My order was marked as 'delivered', however the restaurant phoned to say it had not even been collected from them yet. They organised somebody else to deliver our food, thus it was much later than expected.

Ordered a few different things, halloumi salad was nice but didn’t contain the pomegranate as stated, also didn’t receive any of the sauce for panzanelli so that was a waste of money unfortunately, but what was received was of relatively decent quality.

Fantastic gem in Dumfries. The food was great quality and a good price and tasted better than most resteraunts. Might be expecting pub food if you stop in but this place has some of the best food I've had in a while at a great price point. Highly recommended. The staff are also really pleasant and attentive.

Bit cold and where we sat a bit hard on the old posterior. Lunch was fine as was the service. If the above two points could be sorted then absolutely fine. For some strange reason outside the men's toilet area - huge radiator in wrong place

The Corner Eatery, The best Cheese burger in the town by far, Not to mention their chips are perfection. I would highly recommend this place. We have also ordered steaks from here as well and every time they have been amazing. Would give more than 5 stars if possible.

This is a lovely place to eat, you get a lot for your money and it was so good. The cocktails as well were amazing, a lot of choice.

Popped in for a drink and bowl of chips when my train was cancelled and I had a few minutes to fill. Lovely staff, nice bar area. Chips filled a hole but not amazing. Maybe reheated?

Came across this venue by accident, so glad we did! Staff are very friendly & accommodating. Food is fab! Can't recommened it highly enough, will definately go again when I'm up this way.

Ordered the burger and spaghetti, collection time was bang on time. Burger was beautiful, chips were perfect as well. However the spaghetti bolognaise was not worth the order, so won’t be ordering pasta for take out anyway. If it wasn’t for the spaghetti I would’ve gave 5 stars.

Visited with friends on Friday evening . I’ve been a few times recently for lunch but not dinner . We all had different meals . Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food it was delicious. Service was excellent and the staff were so cheerful. Portions quite large and reasonably priced . The best panzanelli I have had in a long time . Will certainly return .

Macaroni needed more cheese sauce

We had a pasta special on a Thursday night. Panzanelle to start, a huge portion of pasta with garlic bread on the side and a glass of wine for £13.99. You certainly get your moneys worth, although found the pasta portion a bit too much. We had to take it away and it FILLED a takeaway container. Would definitely return.

We were a family of 5 (including a toddler) and the staff were very accommodating to us all. Two staff members stood out (sorry I can’t remember your names) the lady originally from Nottingham who was extremely helpful telling her places to visit with the kids and offering my toddler some colouring when she started to get abit upset and the man who was new who served us he was really polite and again very helpful. The food was delicious it’s very rare everyone is happy with their food in a family of 5 but it was incredible. Best food I’ve had since visiting Scotland and well priced for the portion size. Highly recommend I wish I could give more stars. I hope to return again before we leave for home.

Went here tonight and I can honestly say it was brilliant...easily one of the best places to eat in dumfries My T bone was cooked perfectly and everybody really enjoyed there meals

They have a good range of food at slightly above average price. The meals we had were tasty and decent sized portions. I had an Innis & Guns IPA beer which was good to totally overpriced at £6.80.

Everything was lovely. No complaints at all. Staff very friendly. Will definitely be back soon.

Booked online and asked for a quieter table. We arrived a bit early and we were shown straight to a nice quiet table in the corner. Great extensive menu! Food was amazing. Steaks cooked to perfection. Highly recommend. Well done.

Food is great and the portions are large. Because of this, it is on the pricey side but the portion sizes I'd say balance it out quite well. They also make some good cocktails, so it's both a good place for a meal or somewhere to get some drinks. I will say though the drinks are on the expensive side too.

Food is pretty good, especially the burgers, the Alfredo past is pretty bland and tasteless . The food is a bit over priced tbh, for a small town anyway. The drinks are expensive also, charging 39p for cheap ketchup is a bit far.

Guys, that was nowhere near your usual standard ! Didnt smell the same, didnt taste even remotely close to what im used to getting ! Either someone new made it, or you forgot to add an ingredient but it just wasnt up to your usual standards !!

Popped in for a late lunch. Chicken stroganoff was absolutely delicious & the steak & onion ciabata was super tasty. Loved the addition of the slice of passion fruit & orange in our J20 drinks. Service was top class, will defo be back & would highly recommend 👌

It was early, which is ok, but the quality of the carbonara was terrible. Enough spaghetti to feed 4 people with zero flavour, congealed, tough dry bacon and dried out chicken. I’ve had plenty of meals from here that were great, but this was really disappointing and not edible

Our food was Amazing the flavours were fantastic ,we also got two deserts which were so yummy, this was our first delivery from Corner Eatery as we normally eat in the restaurant but our home delivery experience was just as good as being there, excellent service, polite, courteous and efficient, food was hot and cooked to perfection, portion size was good, price reflected quality of the food, this home delivery did not disappoint standards were kept high and we would definitely recommend 100%.

Burgers were very dry and overcooked same with the chips sweet potato fries and onion rings ended up feeding the patties to the dog for an order that cost me over £30 I’m very disappointed with it it’s a shame as I was really looking forward to it after reading the reviews.

Nice chilli, would have preferred it to be a bit spicier , hotter chilli but overall as tasty and delicious as the lady who delivered it ! 🤣👍

Visited last weekend with our friends for lunch . The food was lovely two of us had a steak and onion panini the men had burgers . We all thoroughly enjoyed our lunch . The service was very good . We shall return . Value for money

Absolutely amazing food my fajita pasta and cheesecake were stunning

Passing through town on way to the ferry, my family and I needed dinner. This lovely beacon appeared. It's clean, friendly and absolutely fine. When we were there it was doing a random line in early 2000 pop music from the stereo, which seemed apt for the menu. Think it was the early 2000's that I last had a fajita from a sizzling pan, but anyway.. turns out the early 2000's were right, this is good food that we've all forgotten. Large portions, chips tasty, staff friendly and helpful... Maybe there is more good stuff from the early 2000's that we have forgotten? Anyway, we do the ferry once it twice a year and I think we'll be back in this place again.

Quick delivery. Ribs are really tasty. Fries and coleslaw are lovely. Burger was a bit overcooked and dry. Bottom of the bun was soggy as tomato and lettuce had been put on the bottom. Overall it was good though!
