This restaurant is such a lovely setting for an evening meal out. The cocktails are gorgeous, the food is beautifully presented and most importantly really yummy! I cannot fault the staff here either, extremely friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Special thanks to Zainab for a warm welcome and for taking such good care of us during parts of our evening!
I am not usually a huge fan of take-aways but this really was very tasty and didn't give off too much of the usual extra-artificial colourings and flavourings. The veg was nicely chopped and cooked, the meats (sweet chilli chicken, duck chow mein) tasted nice and seasoning was just right too.

Found this place almost by accident when staying down the road. Helpful and friendly service, great food and decent portions. Would highly recommend the vegetable spring rolls and the duck chow mein but the other dishes we tried were also really good. Will be back next time I am in the area for sure.
Another gorgeous experience at the Garden Cafe. The food was divine as always and the portions for the money are quite substantial. We had quiche, salad, cake and coffee. All were fabulous and the staff are lovely and so accommodating.
A lovely warm welcome from the Lady serving us and so far the best breakfast I have ever had in Scotland (and I've had a few). Cafe is spotlessly clean and prices are fair, well worth a visit in my honest opinion.
This cafe and shop has relocated to a larger unit across from where it used to be and much of the seating is near a big window now.
The coffee was sooooo good.
They were very busy when I was in but customers orders were all coming out to be served in well organised order.
There are local crafters areas inside the shop and a delicatessen.
It’s a very nice place.
We stayed for one night for our anniversary and had a lovely stay. The room was spacious and clean and had a great view south over fields and the bed was comfy and the shower was great. We had a drink before dinner with canapés which was nice and a lovely meal served by friendly staff. We had no complaints about anything at all, but we spoke to a member of staff to enquire about the situation with dogs in the hotel. We had been thinking of staying a few months previously and as it advertised as being dog friendly it fitted the bill, but we chose somewhere closer to where we were going, which turned out to have been a good decision. She said that dogs were not allowed in any of the public areas only in the bedroom and when you are eating the dog must be left in the car or the bedroom in the cage provided by the hotel.
This would not have suited us, but it may suit other people, but anyone booking should be aware of this before they arrive. I would describe it more as dog tolerated than dog friendly and I understand the reasons for it, but it should be made clear by a description on the website.
Came to the caravan site for a couple of nights beautiful surroundings and castle, food was 10/10 pizzas were spot on, staff extremely helpful and friendly, bonus we could take our dog with us. Definitely be back soon
Have been a few times and is always excellent. The mixed grill is superb. Have tried a few other dishes, sides and naans, all top quality and great value for money. the guys are always friendly and service is spot on. Highly recommended.
My wife and I have eaten in this restaurant on numerous occasions in the past and I must say that tonights meal was the best we've ever had there. My wife had the Salmon and I had the Steak Pie which was out of this world followed by two fantastic deserts & coffees. Could not fault the meal or the service that we received, well done to the management and staff for taking care of us - Thank you.
Lovely spot for coffee and cake. It has a nice outdoor area too for warmer days.
The artwork and textiles for sale looked beautiful
We stopped here before some years ago before it was expanded and as we were driving through we remembered it was a nice little cafe so revisited.
Would go again when in the area
Room was very big although quite dated.
Unfortunately the plughole in the bath was full of hairs and the cleanliness of the room in general wasn't great.
The public areas have been renovated and are much better.
The breakfast was basic but fine, the girls serving were very friendly.
The receptionists on arrival and departure were a little brusque and not very welcoming.
Excellent location in the square.
