A lovely warm welcome from the Lady serving us and so far the best breakfast I have ever had in Scotland (and I've had a few). Cafe is spotlessly clean and prices are fair, well worth a visit in my honest opinion.

Called in just as they swapped the breakfast to lunch menu, there was a lot of choice. We had a toddler and a dog with us, they provided a high chair for the toddler and water outside for the dog. The food was plentiful and good value. Not the best I’ve tasted but not bad. The service was good and the staff friendly, I’d recommend.

Amazing Find. Called in late on tueaday afternoon, we had our dog and didnt think to ask if it was dog friendly. The lady came out with our meal outside and told us to come inside. There is a sign that says its dog friendly and so is the bar next door the 19th hole. We shared a toastie and each had a scone and cream. Delicious, the cappucinos were amazing. We enjoyed it that much we returned the next day and both had a lunch, i had the salt and chilli chicken wrap, amazing! My husband had soup and a sandwich, we again had 2 cappucinos each and a scone. Amzing little place, friendly staff and spacious and clean. Worth a visit.

Not very friendly but the food was good. We were having fish and chips across the street. My son was having the gluten-free nachos with chili at the tea caddy. We were not allowed to sit with him, although the terrace was completely empty. Not very friendly.

A lovely lunch with friends at the Tea Caddy Cafe attached to the 19th Hole Pub. I had the Homemade leek and potato soup which was delicious, my friend had been in a few days before and had lentil soup which she said was also very good. My two friends had a bacon, mozzarella and onion marmalade toastie and a salt & pepper fried chicken wrap, all enjoyed ! The cafe was very busy at the time and the lady server still made time to talk to us. Looking forward to my next visit as I spotted homemade shortbread and empire biscuits on the counter.

Ordered 2 toasties, the soup of the day (sweet potato and red pepper) a scone and a fish finger sandwich. Gosh finger sandwich and scone were alright. But where to begin with the toasties and soup of the day. First impression was alright, but my mum opened hers after trying to cut it (wondering why the knife wouldn’t cut it) and saw that there wasn’t any tomato, which she paid extra for. I took a bite of mine and was overpowered by a bitter burnt toast tatter. The underneath was black. So was my mums. It was disgusting. We sent them back, along with the soup (to keep it warm). The second time they came out, mine was alright, but my mum had about half a slice of tomato added, and the cheese looked like it had been washed in butter and placed on, it wasn’t even melted. It was messy, unprofessional, and my toddler could do better. The soup tasted like half a tub of salt had been chucked in just to p*** us off even further. We complained yet again. But got nothing, we left. I have to say it’s the worst £20 I’ve ever spent. And I’ve eaten in some dives before. Hopefully other customers get better experiences.

Came to visit the Southerness Lighthouse and found this wee cafe. Lots to choose from - sandwiches, toasties, soup, breakfasts until 12pm, homemade cakes. Clean and attached to a bar with pool tables. Delicious and to us was the best in the area

My husband and I have been staying at a cottage in southerness for 3 weeks. It was to give us a little more space during these crazy times x Every day we would come here to get out of the house and have our coffee, then it became coffee and lunch everyday because the food was presented very fast( compliments to the kitchen) they are always forgotten❤️ And the variety on offer at such resonable prices added with great portion sizes and friendly chats every day helped x so sad to be going tomorrow Elaine x hope to see you again well done honey❤️

Visited the Frothy this morning for the first & very last time as the cafe is closing. Whilst the cafe was comfortable the coffee wasn’t the best ever tasted and we were stunned at the price! Compared to other coffee houses close by it was surprising; could this be a reason they are not finding it profitable?

Went for breakfast & the place was pretty quiet. Disappointed with portion size. Ordered 2 x breakfast & 2 x cup of teas which came to £25.75. Gave feedback to member of staff & they were not interested. Won’t be back.

I go here regularly for a carvery as it is one of the best I have been to. I am a very fussy eater and to find a carvery that serves chicken as an option is surprising difficult. The three meats to choose from are usually chicken, beef and gammon/ham. The veg/side options usually include cauliflower cheese, broccoli, carrots, Yorkshire pudding, cocktail sausages and stuffing, but the roast tatties are my favourite part of the meal! You are limited to going up to fill your plate only once but I usually leave feeling very full. Sometimes I have soup as a starter as well depending on what kind it is. I highly recommend giving the carvery a go for anyone who is a fan of a good roast!

This cafe served the worst scone I have ever had / didn't have. (and that's saying something as I'm in my 70s and have had a few in my time. You could build a house with a few of them. Inedible expensive rubbish. It came in a paper bag, no plate and a wooden disposable knife which struggled to cut it. The coffee was served in a paper cup. But was drinkable. Cost over £13 for two coffees and two inedible scones. I am disgusted and will definitely won't be back

Friendly, relaxed, flexible and fun. Nick was a brilliant teacher and good company. Took Mother for some quality time together and she was immediately put at ease and we both had a lovely time. Will definitely go again. If you want quality experiences with friends and family AND you want to learn some great life skills to boot then book your place!
