Lovely little cafe in Nairn that we stopped past in the last few weeks for lunch. The cakes are in a class of their own and worth a diversion via Nairn if you're in the vicinity.

I recently tried the macaroni pie at Ashers and it was a pleasant surprise. The pastry was golden and flaky, perfectly complementing the creamy, cheesy filling inside. The macaroni was cooked just right not too soft not too firm and the cheese sauce had a nice balance of richness and flavor without being too heavy. It had a comforting, homemade feel that made it very satisfying.
Went in for breakfast in the morning. Nice place, nice service, good food and fresh scones too.
One big issue though; the premises was absolutely freezing cold, to the point customers were shivering and kept their jackets on.
Not good!!! Heating should be on in time for the place opening to the public and seeing customers sitting in jackets should bet of alarm bells if you work there or own the place
We came across this place as it was recommended on North Harbour restaurant’s Facebook page and boy we were not disappointed! We had the lobster and chorizo bisque and scallops to start- both of which were out of this world. For mains we had fish, which was fresh and beautifully presented and the venison steak which was so soft and juicy. Ginger and date pudding was a glutinous extra but we couldn’t resist how good it looked on a neighbouring table - fluffy, tasty and rich. :) We can’t wait to come back already!
An amazing little place to stop for quality food and and excellent service Elisabeth and the staff are lovely and very welcoming, chicken/beef burger and/or dirty fries is my become recommendations today
The restaurant was quite cool (even with a jacket) and the food (seafood platter) wasn't really hot either. For the price, the taste is absolutely below average, but you can afford it because it's a tourist hotspot.
I got a seat in a packed restaurant despite not having a reservation. Thank you.
The soup and food were very good. A large selection of regional beers. I envy the staff here, and not just the two of them. It's pure stress.
The food comes quickly and is hot.
My restaurant experience was not very good. Unfortunately, there was no Turkish hospitality. The shish kebab was delicious but the meatballs were a bit tasteless. I liked the Turkish coffee the most, it was even better than some cafes in Turkey.
Searched Google for places to eat breakfast whilst visiting and came across The Ditsy Teacup. What a find. Excellent food. Friendly, helpful and polite staff and a really pleasant setting. Will definitely visit again when next in the area. Trying the homemade fresh scones is a must!
