The best restaurants in Lomond West Dunbartonshire Glasgow and Surrounding

The hotel is undoubtedly in a superb location, the staff helpful and attentive as you would hope, given what is charged, I went for afternoon tea and I would point out that this experience was at best average , for the following reasons. The “tea” is split into 3 components a savory followed by cakes and then scones. It’s very unbalanced with sweets taking up 2/3 of the serving. And frankly given that there is no choice on what is served, the savory element was fairly unappetizing and suggested they were over eager to provide a choice that as an ensemble simply doesn’t work. From smoked salmon to coronation chicken is the sort of think an over eager wedding planner might suggest to cover all the bases but for 2 people 50% of what was put in front of us was left and the enormous amount of sweet choices frankly overpowering. The scones were excellent but £110 later we left having enjoyed the surroundings but deeply unimpressed with the food.

Cool little outdoor bar in Balloch on the banks of Loch Lomond. Really wide range of drinks on offer. Delicious cocktails, really friendly staff & also they play a fab selection of music. Definitely worth a visit & a great spot to people watch! ☺️

Called Thursday 21st November on a very cold day had two beautiful hot chocolates made with soya milk lovely 😍 and on a stunning setting on Loch Lomand. I totally recommend a visit to this outside cafe thank you

Excellent meal, Friday night steak night. Rib eye steak was cooked to perfection. The deal includes a cocktail from the menu, good value for money. We will definitely be back soon

Enjoyed a nice breakfast in the lovely setting of the garden centre restaurant. The young servers are very attentive and provide excellent service. My husband had the Scottish breakfast which was huge and well presented. His sausage was a little tough, but everything else was very good. I had a croissant which I found a little bit dry. Coffee was excellent. It's a lovely garden centre to wonder around too.

We went in for lunch today and was warmly welcomed by the excellent staff. We sat at a table of our choice and was quickly given the menus. We had a beef brisket on toasted bloomer served with gravy and a choice of chips or salad,I opted for salad which was great. My wife had a fish goujon toasty which she had chips with it. We both had mini puds and coffee to finish with. All in all a great experience which we will repeat soon.

We were only in the restaurant. It was the best pub meal we had on holiday in Scotland. Everything was great and they were very friendly

The fish and ships is good but it's still fried. Place not really clean, service OK but not the most pleasant. Ideal for taking a break in a hurry.

Woke up Munchied and I’d never heard of this place but I’d been dreaming of Mac n cheese. Ordered along with a portion of chips and my god it’s old school mac n cheese. Best I’ve had for 30+ years Thank you so much now it’s time for bed again 🙄obviously got stuck in before I left this review so please excuse the picture but honestly it’s a whole hearted meal. Don’t listen to the other review of this as honestly they have not got a clue.

I was so disappointed that I did not get any prawn crackers with my order... and even more so when I called to be told they had changed their charges and I now needed to spend £16+ to get them.. shocked as it used to be £10+... I don't order that often so why not tell me this when I phoned back... so disappointed with how I was spoke to and no apology... not ready great service is it!!!

My wife and I and most of our family chose Chimes as our favourite Chinese restaurant. I have never been disappointed with the food. Also, the staff are so friendly and efficient you are made feel so welcome every time, even when they are run off their feet which is most of the time as the restaurant is so popular.

Lovely coffee and cake. Very empty building.

Amazing food spot. Really affordable and cheap. Quality of fish and chips was amazing. Close to railway station. Must try.
