Monkey Island Cafe Bar in West Dunbartonshire

Like a lot of pubs clubs and restaurants this place is shutting it's doors unfortunately these days are totally different too around 15 20 years ago. Sad but a sign of the times folk just don't use these places as much as they used to ..

I was quite disappointed when we were shown to our table too have our Xmas meal. Were we sat it was quite dark as the lamp that was next to our table wasn't working, we said to a member of staff it went could have the lamp switched on but she said the bulb had gone, so we had to move table after already sitting there for half an hour. The table we got moved to wasn't much better as the lighting wasn't too good either. I had soup for my starter and when it arrived it was cold, so I said to the girl could I have it changed, so she brought one back that had been heated. So after looking forward to this meal for quite some time since when I booked it, was very disappointed.

Got two mega breakfast looked guntill I was halfway through it and a big long black hair was in my mouth my son found a smaller one in his plate the staff member wee complained to saiddo you whant another tea or coffee she also said that the two guys in the kitchen had shaved heads will not be back have

Excellent quality of food and drink service was also good

Great pub. No hassle. Great barmaid. Excellent prices. Will be back next time we visit Golden Jubilee Hospital. Thanks
