Best pizza in the area! Proper pizza base, rolled out there and then, and you can pick your own toppings, and it's not super greasy. Would definitely recommend and I'll for sure be going back!

I have bought fish and chips from this establishment regularly over the past few weeks and can honestly say I enjoyed the food and the service each time, I would highly recommend.

Bought macaroni and cheese if you can call it that I would just call it pasta in milk and cornflour yuck very disgusting he should be ashamed of his cooking I had 2 bits of pasta with the small fork and I took it back to him told him it was watery and he didn't even give me my money back or offered me something else £7 pounds what a waste of money he not the best place in Alexandria he is the worst place in Alexandria should report him to food standards agency very disappointed I wouldn't recommend anyone going to his place rossies chippy is better at least there pasta has cheddar cheese on top and the sauce is think and creamy would never eat there again

Wether I am in the shop or getting a delivery in have never been let down. Always a pleasure never a chore.

Just home with a fish supper. Was told the fish was fresh out of frier. The fish was dry and far from fresh and like the chips not over hot. Very poor food. Total disappointment.

Drove from campsite in Millarochy Bay, Balmaha, for takeaway dinner. Bought a special fish breaded supper and normal fish supper. Both were pretty bad. Really disappointed with breaded fish, it was over cooked breadcrumbs with little fish. Didn’t taste fresh and very salty.

I don’t recommend fish and chips, the special bread fish is not so good and the bread was over cooked and the fish not so tasty and fresh. Really disappointed with that.

Best pizza in Alexandria! Order from here regularly and the quality never drops, genuinely 10/10! Nothing is too much hassle for the staff! Very friendly and helpful! Recommend!

Totally gutted got my usual hamburger supper to get home find only 1 hamburger box not filled with chips!!! Still got charged full price

2 × Fresh fish and chips, but all very greasy, chips biggest disappointment., overall very disappointed. I'm a visitor here and this did not live up to the recommendation from family. I would not shop here again.

We were staying overnight up the road on our way to Mull and after 2 years of leaving Scotland were desperate for decent fish & chips, just can't find anything down South. We weren't disappointed the chips were chunky & juicy, the fish flaky & delicate. Fantastic value too, large & small fish supper + mushy peas under £15, amazing!! Portion size huge!! Two portions of fish for the large supper. Sitting here contently stuffed :)

Cannae beat the Special Fish Supper also the mixed fritters are superb.

Ordered our tea on line from here tonight. Had a special large fish supper. I couldn't believe how big this fish supper was. The fish and chips was lovely with the fish having no bones. I will definitely be back the next time we are down here on holiday 👌

Had an issue with Apple Pay the boss came on the phone and told me another way to order which was faster and you get 10%discount (very helpful) delivery driver was a lovely guy and wood came very quickly, the food was beautiful, chips were fresh, bad is I like my chicken wings a bit crispier, but i didn’t specify so my own fault.would recommend!!!!!

Earnie's is always good. Continued standard of well cooked quality food that never dissapoints. Try the battered chicken half. It is really good. The staff take pride in producing good batter. This is something that can be sorely lacking these days. I am grateful that I can recommend this Sgoinneil Chippy.

Food was edible but not very nice, had max n cheese which was very basic and pretty tasteless and chicken burger was okay at best.

Tasty food, good portions great price and friendly staff. Three different dishes on three visits whilst holidaying in Loch Lomond we be going back on our next holiday.

Very happy with the service and food, I would recommend this to anyone visiting Loch Lomond. Ideal for a family if you use their 10% off, could save a small fortune compared to Balloch prices for an extra 30 seconds on your journey .

Very efficient and well run also very clean, been there twice now and found the food well cooked and generous portions and a very fair price.

I had bones in my fish .the last 3 times. N fact the last time there was that many bones .it cut my gums to bit's. Got the photos. Disappointed. When you opened the fish was delicious. But 3 chances.naw that's it .

Great Chippy with friendly and welcoming staff.

Ordered at 7.40pm on a Friday, delivery said it would take 40 mins which I thought was very good at (presumably) peak time. He was with us very slightly early, smiling and polite. The food was hot, fresh and well cooked. Tasty chips, the large fish was extremely generous. The haggis and black pudding pakora selection was excellent and a cheap way to taste some of Scotlands more infamous deep-fried goodies!

Totally blown away by Ernies! The food is so good, delicious actually. It arrives hot and dead on time, with a hefty portion sizes, and at a really fair price too. The chips and sausages are tasty, and their pasta dishes are outstanding and very fresh with just the right amount of bite. I wish we'd tried this place ages ago. The staff are helpful, polite and friendly and the drivers are great, finding my place no problem. I 100% recommend 'Ernies plaice' it's an absolute diamond.

Wasn't made very welcome. Looked like plastic between sausage and batter and got back to the camp site to find one of the meals that was paid for missing 😒

Friday night arrival with the caravan in Balloch, it's got to be fish and chips. Picked the one with the best rating, and wasn't disappointed. The fish was crisp and the 'Large' size involved two good sized fillets. The sausage supper was, again, generous, with two sizeable sausages in batter. Reasonable price, friendly staff, and obvious COVID-19 measures in place.

Ordered 'contact free delivery' which means food is to be left outside as we are shielding they told me they were at my house twice which I find hard to believe as I was in my living room and no one knocked my door it's only across the road from me too it was left so late I had to order dominos as all the shops were shut which cost me a fortune and they said it was my fault food was already paid for should have left it outside the door what's the point of having contact free delivery if you're not going to do it contact free

Tried for the first time tonight will definitely be going back fish was delicious and for once the chicken nuggets were eaten. Meal was lovely and hot when it arrived on time 👍🏻👍🏻

Just found my new favourite pizza place! Asked for a thin base and got a totally delicious stone baked pizza that I've not found anywhere else locally.

Major improvements, chicken and batter cooked to perfection, fish cooked really nicely, can't complain about the chips, friendly chef and staff.

Ernie's Plaice has just re-opened under new management! Great service, great food, great value! Would highly recommend!

The fish was perfect. The chips first rate! And the staff was incredibly friendly... excellent service.

The place is shut. When it was running the guy opened when it pleased him. Some Fridays and saterday he left it closed because he didn't need the money! Bad service. Frank at the Balloch polombos will serve you well and he cooks in veg oil is it is Kosher/ Halal.

Lots of food at a good price but no fish and didn't feel right 2 for days afterwards.

Best chips in and around Alexandria and Balloch
