Dog House in West Dunbartonshire

The fish and ships is good but it's still fried. Place not really clean, service OK but not the most pleasant. Ideal for taking a break in a hurry.

Good friendly place. Public bar, lounge bar and a new beer garden. Large screens for sports. Live music at weekends

Favourite pub in Balloch especially when there is live sport or live music on. The atmosphere is always great.

Great wee pub. Too hot inside though but when mentioned they will put the heating down or off. Popular with locals at night.

Horrible a local big mouth came in and moaned about everything yakking on about the drugs he took etc etc what a fanny. Not my kind of bar. Horrible toilets whole eexperiience was yuk!

Fab day watching the rugby and also our club trophy presentation. Great beers and free food provided.

Dropped in on way back from football. Good choice of beers and spirit's and other drinks. Public bar is warm and cheerful, there is a big lounge for live music . Good pub.

Went in early afternoon on a Saturday, here giant TV screens showing football were forced to sit near one, after a while we asked if the sound could be turned down, no problem, it was great to talk at a normal level, the Guinness was very nice, the bar filled up with people talking, it felt very cozy friendly, ended up staying longer due to the absence of blaring TV or concert level music. The last twice I went here was at night and its far too noisy, having to shout into the ear of barstaff and there is only about six people in.

Not a good atmosphere here on Saturday night. One drink and we left.

Good local pub enjoyed watching the football good lagers on tap noticed some local reward card going on like Gregg's do with coffees but beer 🤣 if I could sink a few more might of asked for a reward card....

This is a good little boozer. I liked it in here it has both the back bar and the front. The staff are friendly and the price of booze is not to bad. Would recommend and would return!

Had a quick drink on Mon 5th Sept with my husband. Lounge was closed but small recently redecorated bar was pleasant. Bar person/locals were friendly and chatty. TV was on as the new prime minister was awaited. Prices were reasonable for 2 drinks and I suspect that they had some sort of loyalty reward scheme for the regulars. All in all a pleasant hour spent here.

The dog house caters for both locals and tourists it has two bars the back bar or sports bar seems to be more popular with locals The front bar although still shows sports is quieter and used by both locals and tourists Both bars are clean Clean toilets Friendly staff and competitive prices Well worth a visit

Always pop in for a pint or two When in Balloch The man who runs it is Spot On and very accommodating

Usual good beer at very reasonable prices. A bit concerned however at the lack of face coverings on the customers when they were moving about.

Was in Balloch with friends on a day trip. Went into the Dog House. Cheery little pub. Good choice of drinks. Staff very pleasant. Balloch can be expensive but prices were reasonable. Dearer places back home in EK.

Called in for a pint while visiting Balloch and immediately felt welcome in this vibrant little bar. The beer was excellent and the staff and other customers were all good craic. Entertainment was provided by acoustic guitar and harmonica sessions from a variety of musicians and singers and was enjoyed by all. I would highly recommend this bar. Try it and if you don't enjoy it then (I think) you must be doing something wrong. Just go with the flow and enjoy. Cheers.

I visited Balloch from England and coming to the doghouse was one of my favorite parts of the holiday 😀 the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, great group of regulars and I love the fact it's dog friendly😀 I recommend to anyone who's coming here for their holidays that they get theirselves to the doghouse for a pint... I can't wait to be back!!
