We recently used The Cottage's catering service for a house party for my wife's birthday. The large trays of food cover 10-12 people. We had chicken curry, chilli, mac n' cheese, and cajun chicken pasta - and rice and chips. The food arrived hot and at the agreed time. Every single one of the dishes was excellent - everyone loved it and went back for seconds. Everyone also commented on how good it was - and i know they weren't just being polite - they genuinely did enjoy the food and wanted to know where we got it from. We managed the order and payment over the phone and the service was friendly and efficient. When i broke the overall price down to headcount and per portion it was also quite reasonable. I would highly recommend The Cottage and their catering service. Loved it. Thanks team.

An excellent fish n chip shop. Best one In the area by a mile. I live 5 mile from it but would not go anywhere else.

Absolutely disgraceful service! Delivery £3 and nearly 40 minutes late. What’s the point of booking time slots if they can’t honour their own delivery times. Had to phone to get an update and no apology whatsoever from staff or delivery person when it eventually arrived. Their pizzas are nice but way too expensive and then have a cheek to charge £3 delivery and can’t delivery remotely near the scheduled time and no apology. Really bad customer service!

Hmmm...loved my 1st visit. A bit on the fence for 2nd visit. We visited as a group of 6 in early August (a Saturday lunch) and were quite taken with the menu, ambience and freshness of food. Went back again on Thursday 29th as a 2 and missed that je ne sais quoi. Chilli beef nachos were lovely and hot. Salmon with giant couscous a hit. But the Greek Fries were cool. And missed the stainless bowl. Maybe a different chef?

We had booked this online for 8pm and decided a few hours before to see if we could change to 7:30pm, but they advised they could not do that time, but 7pm is available. We arrived just before 7pm and they said just sit anywhere. Interestingly they we not busy the whole time we were there, so not sure why 7:30pm would not have worked. Service was quick, and we ordered some drinks whilst we viewed the menu. For starters I chose Chilli Chicken, which was very spicy, but lovely and the other starter was Fish Pakora, which was tasty. Our main dishes, Chicken Tari Wala Murgh was not so hot but had nice flavours. The Chicken Butter was nice. The Garlic and Coriander Nann was the largest Nann I had ever seen being served and that was very good. Overall, the food and service were very good.

Never had anything I didn't like. Cakes and tarts wonderful. Pies, sausage rolls and bridies, great and very filling. Addicted to the well fired rolls. All that and friendly service. They can be, deservedly, quite busy, but service is fast.

I do like Nanny's, it's very dependable. They sell good meals at reasonable prices, and your order is cooked fresh in front of you, not produced from out the back when you don't know how long it's been there. We had hot filled rolls and they were delicious, and we were served by attentive staff. 4 rolls, 2 drinks, sit in for less than £14.00, great! Only downside, the décor is looking a bit dated and could do with a freshen up.

Very nice food, I think is the best place in Greenock where to get chicken tikka stuff, and pizza with deep sauces, and chicken pakora is so good

Very run down and didn’t have a great experience! Reception staff friendly! Restaurant staff looked like they didn’t want to be there wasn’t a warm welcoming! Didnt enjoy dinner steaks were undercooked and waste of £40 no choice of drinks and no atmosphere in restaurant was doom and gloom! Worst experience had for a premier inn won’t be returning.

Fabulous buffet night..plenty of choice and dishes replenished frequently. All piping hot..starters, mains, rice, naan and poppadoms, chicken, lamb (beautifully tender) and veggie options too. Friendly, very efficient staff and lovely cold Cobra to drink. Good value meal at £18 a head. We had a great evening and will return.

On a cruise vacation stopped for an excursion and once complete we headed into town. We asked two separate shop clerks where they would recommend that we go for lunch... both recommended this restaurant without hesitation. My wife being vegetarian was easily able to find her choices from the menu. Our waitress was lovely tending to us and ensuring that we were pleased with our visit. The Pasta and sauce were AMAZING to the point I started telling the other patrons that "Rumor has it that the chef trained under Gordon Ramsey" It was THAT good!
