Great pizza place! We were more than pleasantly surprised at how good this little pizzeria is. Very tasty, all imaginable variations, a pizza size that will satisfy everyone and at an unbeatable price. That's what makes a good pizza. We'll definitely be back - I hope you will too! The best Italian food I've ate so far! The portion are very large and the quality of the food is excellent! I highly recommend it!

Made in Italy is a small delicatessen style cafe, it has a modern look with a small number of tables inside and another 2 or 3 tiny tables outside. When the business opened in 2021 it offered a range of fresh Italian produce pastries cakes breads and Pizzas. Initially the service was good and the food was great, it would be nice to say this has lasted but sadly not the case. Each time we have visited there is another indication of decline, the range of food started to suffer, then the quality. On more than one occasion we requested one type of bread and were given a random substitute without explanation, on questioning the response was invariably the requested option was unavailable. The cleanliness has visibility declined over time, initially there seemed to be a number of staff over a rotation, laterally it seems there are only one or two staff and there is usually a baby in a pram, so whoever is working has the baby to care for on top of running the cafe. A hand written sign went up on the door saying 'cash only', this has become a permanent fixture. On the very last visit (ever I suspect), I visited with a friend for coffee. My preference is non-dairy milk, I was told they had none (despite being less than 5 yards from a Sainsbury's Local). I accepted the lack of option and ordered a flat white, my friend has a caffeine allergy, he ordered a decaf latte, only to be told they don't have decaf coffee. There are many things people are willing to accept, overlook or forgive, however the list is now too long. Good luck from an ex-patron.

Outstanding. Best Neapolitan Pizza I’ve had since the last best one I had! We made our debut here on a sunny Saturday. Sitting outside with a view of the Clyde was the cherry on top. New favourite restaurant in inverclyde.

Unfortunately very disappointing. Order arrived early,deliver driver very polite,..food arrived cold overall, I had to reheat chips pizza and garlic bread, the mozzarella sticks were not in my order and the soup was cold and less than a cupful of what appeared to be more of a pizza base sauce. . Chicken nuggets were included (which I hadn’t ordered) i do not find any joy in giving negative feedback however this was more than one error within my order. Have used before, hesitant to do so again

Ordered a Bolognese, was given spaghetti with a tomato sauce and no meat. Chicken arrabiata was good, but hardly any chicken in it. Cajun chicken 'ciabatta' came as a calzone, but still good. Pizza and focaccia good quality.

After being totally ignored in a coffee shop across the road, I stopped by here - and I'm glad I did. It's an unassuming little place, but it's excellent. I ordered a chiabatta with Parma ham and a tea , then sat to wait. When it came it was unlike your store bought chiabatta sandwiches, it was much better. It was huge and it was both crispy and chewy, a delight. It was stuffed generously with lovely salty ham and a ton of salad. Very, very tasty - I'm coming back with my wife next time!

The order was for prosciutto di parma pizza, French fries and 2 x garlic dips. Wrong pizza delivered.. cold, no dips , half cooked and cold fries. Very poor quality

Just stopped by for tea and cake wasn't disappointed.

Ordered the focaccia bread and pesto genovese pasta both were absolutely delicious never had from here before but definitely will again ❤️

Fantastic, tasty and fresh pizza and pasta

Two Italian guys who passionately offer traditional Italian dishes with Italian products: an excellent pizza and a real espresso coffee. Be wary of imitations, Italians do the food better!!!

Food is SO late every single time.. each time I’ve ordered I’ve had to wait an extra 20-40 mins from the original collection time given. Doesn’t help that service is also abysmal. I’m not one to write negative reviews but the service is that shocking I won’t be wasting any more money here!

Food was nice. That's the only real plus for me. General service wasn't the best. I felt the young lady serving was under pressure and didn't seem to be getting much support.

We came here on a trip and were looking for a bit of Italy and we found this beautiful place, welcomed by many smiles, we felt at home! The pizza was really delicious and the service was impeccable! If we ever find ourselves in these areas again we will definitely come back to eat there

When placing the order it said 45 minutes delivery but once order placed that changed to 1 hour 30 minutes and it wasnt here even then The pepperoni pizzas had no jalapeno chillis and all three pizzas were cold, no point complaining it's gets you nowhere.

Was so disappointing as the delivery was late they did call but went to wrong address pizza was ice cold and the pizza was burnt.I hope they can fix this in future and we can get great pizzas.

Totally shocking order. Late and damaged when it arrived, the fact that the restaurant deemed it fit for purpose is beyond me. Usually good, but this was ridiculous service.

Delivery delayed. No jalapenos on pepperoni pizza although in the description. Pizzas were undercooked, cold and not cut up properly. Hardly any cheese on both. Chips were soggy and cold. Pastas were tasteless especially the bolognese.

Hard to tell if it was early or late as never got any notification from Just Eats

Very disappointed; ordered 2 cajun chicken ciabatta which came in baguette rolls. The rolls were very dry and very little filling inside. Bits of red onion skin inside also. Total waste of money. Very disappointed..

Many items missing. The food that was delivered was cold and poor quality, and phone number does not work for this restaurant. Very disappointing.

You should receive 7 onion rings and I only received 5. I think this is really disappointing that they think they can short change customers

I have to admit, this is among the finest pizza bases I've experienced since I started living in the United Kingdom. I opted for two classic Marinara pizzas, one of which was evidently sans garlic and regrettably burnt. The fact that the pizzas arrived cold isn't really an issue - that's beyond their control. However, the quality of the baking and the ingredients certainly is

Disgusting service. Their telephone number doesn't work. The food was cold and we had no way to contact the restaurant. The desserts were also missing from our order. What an absolute disgrace. Please avoid.

Poor. We order often and this experience was far from pleasing. 4 pieces of chicken on the spicy chicken pizza.Food was cold and undercooked. Menu not updated to show food out of stock. Chips greasy and chicken nuggets straight out of aldi. Disgusting

Pepperoni pizza was made with cheddar cheese with very little mozzarella. The cheddar made the pizza too salty in combination with the pepperoni. There was also no jalapeños on the pizza, despite them being on the description.

This is the second time I’ve ordered cannolis and they’ve been missing in my delivery. One time I get it, it’s a mistake, twice, somethings not right.

The best things were the ham & scamarza ciabatte and the mozzarella sticks, very unimpressed with the pizza, the maccheroni cheese was so so and wasn't a great portion size & the less said about the portion size of the fries the better ☹️ gave us 2 pistachio lobster cake instead of the chocolate ones we ordered so they had to get binned. Overall very disappointed

Reviews were not trustworthy. Disappointing visit to MadeinItaly. Pasta was undercooked n cheese bland. Second order request for 'extra spicy' cajun pasta dish was ignored. The chicken was tasty but the sauce was not. We didn't stay for coffee & cake due to child coughing over the pastries behind the counter. Service was adequate although cash wasn't accepted as till had no change. Won't travel for 2 hours again to this place or pay heed to reviews.

Food was awful. Focaccia thick and undercooked. Spaghetti replacement greasy and tasteless. Pizza thrown together , hardly any toppings. Will never order from here again.

3 out of the 6 pizzas we’re missing ingredients, so disappointing! They could have phoned to ask if we wanted to substitute unavailable toppings but they just delivered what they made and charged us the full amount. We tried to phone the number for the restaurant on google as we would have rather communicated directly with the restaurant.

Got the Salsiccia pizza and the Arrabiatta chicken. Pizza was hands down the best I have ever eaten, and the pasta was so fresh and tasty! Highly recommend if you like good food 👍

Worst takeaway pizza I’ve ever had. Cold, congealed cheese, chewey extra thin dough and didn’t even have all the toppings that the menu item listed.

Great takeaway. The food was very tasty. Ordered on a busy Friday night and they still managed to do my large order quickly.

The coffee here is fantastic with the espresso and macchiato being particularly strong with flavour. Staff are great and it has a very family feel almost like sitting in a small Italian village. Dog friendly 😍

Odered 2 pizzas. Both stone cold. One is wrong order. Sad pizza day for me. // phone number doesn’t work. No other way of contacting them. Bravo

Delivery time was great however disappointed in the food. Macaroni cheese was penne pasta (which I would never expect from an Italian), pasta wasn’t fully cooked. Focaccia was burnt very dry & not seasoned well. I’m disappointed in the meal I expected more from an Italian restaurant to make the mistake of not serving the correct pasta for the dish.

friendly staff. warm atmosphere. bruschetta was insanely delicious like seriously heavenly. staff were so accommodating of my dietary requests (vegan) and pointed out my options. defo coming back!!! ❤️🥖🍅🌿

Wonderful food, great atmosphere, amazing staff. Would love to see you expand indoor seating area, because more people deserve to come in and enjoy the food and wonderful service here. Updated 15.7.23 to note that the gelato is phenomenal!

Lasagne and Bolognese ordered. Chicken pieces found in Bolognese and that had chewy spaghetti and only flavours obvious were tomato and salt. Lasagne was scrambled and poor in quality and taste. Highly disappointed as expected a restaurant with various Italian dishes available to be able to produce basic pasta dishes. £22 to order a Taj Mahal because it was that bad.

Garlic bread was lovely. Lasagne was nice but only lukewarm when it arrived.

Ordered take away to take to the beach Lovely food, lovely clean shop, children loved the real Italian pizza and cake. Us adults enjoyed Bruschetta. Lovely family. Good luck. We'll visit again next time we are in Gourock.

Friendly service and delicious food. I had the ravioli and they were lovely, the tomato sauce was truly scrumptious. Even though I was full when I finished my plate, I wished I could eat another as it was so nice!

If I could give no stars I would, they took £35.50 for a delivery through just eat and never delivered. Will never use again, and they don’t use vegetarian cheese on their vegetarian meals.

Day trip to Gourock with the kids. Did not expect to find a pizza this good. Exceptional.

Me and my dad went to this restaurant after swimming in the Gourock Outdoor Pool and the line was quite long but went by pretty quickly but when we came in it was so busy. We sat down in a table for two and I got a hot chocolate and my dad San Pellegrino blood orange flavour, we also ordered our food at the same time, I got the Parma Ham Ciabatta and my dad got the Spaghetti Aglio. Our drinks came very quickly and my hot chocolate was phenomenal I drank it immediately and my dads drink was as good as a normal San Pellegrino. The food came 45 minutes later which is atrocious as people who came after us got their food before us and they already had left but the food was tasty. My panini was very good but it wasn’t easy to chew of the meat and my dads pasta was fresh and a little bit aldante which he liked, it was all freshly prepared, lots of garlic and oil and also alot more chili than he expected. The atmosphere was great and the music was too. Overall it was very good except the service was slow.

Freshly made pizza which tasted incredible, chewy dough, fresh sugo. The filled ravioli was very tasty too! This place is a wee gem! Really really worth a visit!

The best pizza I’ve had in ages!

2 hours for a starter salad and a 10 inch pizza. A pizza which was freezing cold and soggy and went straight into the bin. And you also forgot my dip you charged me for. Had to order a domino’s which it arrived in 20 minutes..

I got the carbonara and a polo pizza it was fab! Hot tasty and fresh, couldn’t recommend more !!

I ordered from the Gourock shop, but apparently, it was closed! Got delivery eventually after a long wait from Inverkip shop. Food was cold and no balsamic dressing on the bruschetta.

I’m classing this as a one-off mistake as every other meal I’ve had at ‘Made in Italy’ has been delicious but the ‘Americana’ pizza I had ordered tonight had only 4 pieces of pineapple and only a few slices of ham. It was also pretty cold in the middle. I really hope standards aren’t slipping and this is a fluke.

Excellent food and customer service

Terrible - full peeled plum tomatoes on our pizza as the sugo wasn’t blended properly. Tasteless and bitter. Pizza was off shape so not a 12”. Ordered balsamic onions & got sundried tomatoes instead - phoned up to advise & was told that the manager had decided to just substitute those instead as they’d ran out of balsamic onions!

Full tomatoes on pizza base instead of sauce which is new and dont know why when they were amazing before. Also full garlic cloves in the garlic mayo making it far too strong. Disappointed as always usually on point

Best pizza and service in town!

Had a lovely lunch today, it was a sunny Saturday so really busy, however didn't effect the quality. Food was lovely, we had 2 pizzas, a ciabatta with lovely meat and a bruschetta, coffee was also lovely and the cannolis were AMAZING

Food arrived late and freezing cold although great chicken nuggets. No sauce on the macaroni, it was just pasta and cheese, pizza was ok. Hopefully just picked the wrong night!

Went in for a light dinner but was a bit surprised by the unusual dishes. The minestrone soup was lovely with lots of vegetables but there was hardly any pasta. Ordered the lasagna for main as last time it was tasty as anything and not too big a portion. Last night, however, the lasagna was just a deep plate of cheesy mince, could not find any lasagna sheets in it whatsoever. Not sure what went wrong this time - a different cook maybe? We also often get pizzas to go from here and they are LOVELY but I wish they would precut the pizzas properly to make them easier to eat - or you just need to cut them yourself at home.

I have been here several times but only for convenience. I have found the tea to have a terrible taste and have asked for coffee instead. The service is really bad .The young women last week had no idea. Ciabbatta put on cracked board no cutlery no napkins. After asking several times got them ourselves. Opened doors to let smoke from cooking out .left with my eyes streaming. Need to train staff and up there game if they want to be successful.

dear owner... i have been in your cafe 5 times this year always takeaway. first time was absolutely excellent, after that on the remaining visits its been a hit or a miss, regretfully again a miss. today christmas eve , terrible service which we have come to expect but tolerate in an attempt to support you and enjoy your great food..our food was good but wasted by terrible weak and cold latties. the girl serving was totally not interested. this is not a negative review just an indicator that i really don't know if we can come back. ps we didn't return with coffee as the last time we returned the ciabatta we were growled at. please save your good work by getting your front of house trained.. thank you.
