Went in today for a quick bite to eat and I’m so angry at myself that I didn’t take pics. My daughter ordered crispy chicken wings and I ordered a cheese and bacon panini with fries. The panini came with one slice of bacon and no cheese, side salad and no fries. I went to the waiter and asked him to take the food back to the chef and ask if he thought it was acceptable to serve to someone. My daughter ate the wings and left most of them as they were very fatty not crisp. No-one had came back to the table so I went to the bar to cancel my order. There was no apology. The staff just seem uninterested. It’s definitely went downhill. Won’t be back!

After spotting this little place on the way to the waterfalls we had to stop for something to eat. If you're lucky enough to get a seat outside when it's sunny. You won't be disappointed as the view is awesome. However. Once you do sit down, be aware you will likely have to ask for a menu as we waited for a good twenty minutes before we realised the waiting staff were walking past us. Pleasent though once they realised we hadn't been seen. The food itself was not up to scratch for the prices. My girlfriend got a baked potato with cheese, I got an £8.50 goats cheese salad which was literally a handful of chopped lettuce, two super thin slices of goat cheese, sprinkle of pine nuts and zigzag of balsamic. No where near worth the 8.50. my girlfriend's dish was a hard skinned potato, a teeny bit of cheese, iceberg and some crisps. We were both disappointed. This place is missing a trick. A reduced menu with some locally sourced ingredients focusing on a more homely and better cooked and presented product would be best. Maybe due to the weather they were low on ingredients, but until I see some better food, I'd be reluctant to go back. The place is now called The Glen Cafe and Bistro.

Ordered a takeaway away. Food was very poor. Bland with absolutely nothing to make me want to go back. What a shame, with the reviews of this restaurant being a family run place it was such a let down. Take away across the road absolutely wipes the floor with this restaurant. Delivery driver was nice and pleasant.

What can I say, except dont touch with a barge pole. Ordered a ham fried rice tonight and special chow mein. The hfr was like a sticky stodge all congeled together, as for special chow mein meat was like rubber. Think we got left overs from Monday night. Never ever going back. Called and did not care at all about quality they are dishing out.
