The best restaurants in West Lothian Edinburgh and Lothian

Helpful and very friendly staff. The restaurant has always been clean and tidy whenever I've visited. This was a previous review, however it has gone downhill. The place was a mess, rubbish on the floor and tables, the bins were full, the tables were dirty. If my partner hadn't had wet wipes in her bag we wouldn't have eaten in, two other families arrived after us and both had to clean their own tables. The 2nd family that came in went to the counter and asked a staff member if they could have someone clean their table but the staff member went and cleaned the opposite side of the restaurant. They also had some metal rock music playing quite loudly in the kitchen which I don't mind people playing their own tastes in music but it should be background not loud enough to drown out what my partner was saying while she was sat next to me. It's a shame as the food in there was good just that they'd jumbled up the two orders.

Service was literally not existing. Food cane very late even though the restaurant was not very busy. Last time we visited. We have been regular customers over the past 10 years but service is at its all time low.

Went out for something to eat with the Hubby, we had an excellent meal.. I had the burger and hubby had the carvery ... Great service from the start very friendly team, great atmosphere and the food was delicious... Will be back soon ..

Good value but quality can be a bit hit or miss. Sometimes the fish is amazing and sometimes ok. The woman that works there always uses her fingers to handle the hot food, money, her glasses and never washes her hands in between. They really need tongs and to put her on a hygiene course.

Staffs were not friendly and professional, coffee was also worst

The fish was so over cooked it was inedible. And there was dozens of bones in it. Avoid at all costs.

Got three suppers all horrible. Been getting here for several years and it has slowly been going down hill past year . Me and wife have said it's the last and won't be getting another meal .

A lovely wee cafe at the end of Linlithgow high street that doesn’t have many cafes. Handy for a wee catchup with family and friends. Clean and bright, seating is comfy. The home baking and sandwiches are excellent, scones are amazing. Tea and coffee are freshly made and hot. Staff are lovely and welcoming.

The general demeanor of some staff at this store gives Dominos a bad name. Extremely abrupt, unhelpful and unfriendly when they make a mistake and are asked to rectify it, both on the phone and over email. Lots of exclamation marks through emails which comes across as aggressive, I noticed a previous TripAdvisor review mentioning this too so seems that I'm not that first person to have had a bad experience like this. Completely unnecessary when you've been polite. I'm sure not all staff at the store are as unpleasant as the 2 I had the misfortune of speaking with. This is my local store but I'll always go to Livingston now as it's a much more positive experience. Manners cost nothing. Selling pizza can't be hard and definitely shouldn't involve speaking to and treating customers like crap.

Just ordered a 2 meals from a taste of china in Broxburn and one of the meals was disgusting. That meal was the so called special fried with a portion of curry sauce. When the meal arrived it had a disgusting BBQ sauce poured all over it. I called them back and asked why this was on it but not on the product description on the menu( I ordered a curry sauce to pour over it) They said it was the way they made it. I asked for a replacement dish. A curry as my faith in the original fish was gone. This seemed a reasonable request. 10 mins later I received a call saying they would only replace the dish with the same minus the sauce. Even asked if I could drive to the takeaway to pick it up. Stay away tasteless, clueless and poor customer service.

Awfull service. Lafy who works there Lorraine( not sure if got her name correctly), extremly rude. Infront of all queue she allowed to let her coullegue down, she was mad on her and talking in a bad tone, instead of helping her. Everyone could see how this poor lady was stressed out. When i approach to Lorraine, she was rude with me as well- anger on her face was seen If you dont like customer service- just dont work there. Poor attitude, shame on manager of this place

Utterly rotten, scammers with the Bluetooth earpiece and fake Gucci hat making up the price when they want. Delivery driver looks like he’s spilled chilli sauce down his shirt 24/7 and cut the grass at the same time with all these green stains
