We wondered around many other places and decided for this places because of the initial kindness of the waitress when we where passing by and had a question. Went back for lunch and had a great lentil soup, salmon with salad and green juice. We decided to go back the next day, as we wanted something different from the regular pizza, hamburgers and such offered around. It did not disappoint, great place, very small and wonderful views of the castle

A very nice, relaxing cafe in the lobby of the Capital Theatre on Nicholson Street. Offer sandwiches, salads and soup, as well as a few sweets. Also serve alcohol. Good food and very friendly staff. Fairly reasonably priced. No reservations needed. One of my favorite places. Recommend!

And what could be better than a coffee and cake from the Costa Cafe! There's a good selection of cakes and pastries and the latte was good - you can either sit at the tables, or there's plenty of space to sit around the square or on the grass. I also tried one of their filled rolls for a quick lunch which was good with a generous filling.

You may think I t’s just a toastie but top ingredients and service make it an excellent quick lunch. The Stockbridge Stack is delicious with chicken, ham hock and home-made pesto. The best toastie place out there. Sort the steamy windows!

Arrived at this club yesterday 20th November with friends from Hawick before Scotland Japan game for some food (Breakfast) as the game kicked of at1 o'clock. Club busy with people looking for food and was told food does not start till 12 o'clock poor show broughmuir.

Time after time we visit the cafe at Modern 2 (Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art) in the hope that the service has improved. We don’t expect too much - clearing the table and giving it a wipe - but yet again Heritage Portfolio fail in the basics. Let’s hope they lose their catering contract soon.

Friendly place, very welcoming. Bit over-priced, would avoid the milky coffees. Baklava is excellent. The cafe needs refurbishment.

El mejor café de la ciudad. Fantástico escenario. Gente muy amable sirviendo y también los lugareños que asisten. Fácil ir relajado y placeres simples de gran café y té.

Absolutely awful, brought half of main course out with starters, told them to take it back and when we where ready for main course we would let them know, then they brought main course back out when table hadn't been cleared from the starters. To top it off it must have been left on the side in the kitchen as it was cold when brought back out, we refused to eat it as it was too cold and all they could say was "sorry" we gave the cold food back and asked for the bill which they said they will take 10% off. Absolute joke! To say we where disappointed is an understatement and no way on this earth is it 5 star food as rated on Tripadvisor, don't even get me started on the cleanliness!

Grace was so friendly and helpful and that was before I sat down. Dog friendly too so my puppy was happy too. The coffee was delicious and the compote the nicest I have ever tasted!! Looks quite ordinary from the outside but it is very far from ordinary!! Well worth a special trip.

The advertising for this store could be much better, I've only recently discovered them but will go out of my way from the costas and starbucks to come here. The coffee is delicious and the food is even better. Best part? Its quiet and calm. You can find ques going out the door in other places but you'll be guaranteed a small wait here.

I come from a sunny beaches and healthy food kind of lifestyle and every now and then I get a real urge to have a juice or an acai bowel. I managed to find this place when I was in Edinburgh and boy am I glad! I went there pretty much every day I was there to get either a smoothie or an acai bowel. Food was great and the price you'd expect for tropical fruity things in somewhere like Edinburgh.

Gone. This place has now regretably closed its doors. A pity it looked intersesting but this place changes often, perhaps due to its location , which is on a side street.
