Only received half my order and a meal a never order called up gentleman was super understanding foods lovely onlything a would say is they should invest in bags like justeat do as foods not very warm and for this am not giving ys a full 5 star hopefully my nxt prder will b complete and hotter then a will give a 5 star not a problem food nice but cold can't fault service from call handler and delivery driver except the food needs to b delivered hotter

Great food! With decent prices- the best tasting Ribs in honey & BBQ sauce & Chicken Chow Mein I've ever tasted, totally amazing! 😋- wouldn't go anywhere else for a Chinese takeaway!!!

I enjoy my prawn crackers whith my meal but this is the second time they've arrived stale, (possibly yesterdays). Won't be getting my custom again.

Excellent chicken curry, large portion, lots of curry sauce, salt and pepper chips again large portion and the best I’ve had!

Special curry, egg fried rice, prawn toast, Singapore fried rice ordered through JustEat on a Monday. Special gravy more like, barely any resemblance to a curry, very tasteless/bland. Prawn toast borderline incinerated. Singapore fried rice tasted very Tabasco sauce like in flavour, a lazy way to spice things up and nothing like any Singapore/Yung Chow rice I’ve ever had. Came with what I hope are free spring rolls as I never ordered them (nothing to write home about so I’d be annoyed if I paid for them) and free prawn crackers (never even tried them) Review would have been left on JustEat but didn’t give me that option. Do not recommend.

My go to takeaway. Really good vegetarian options (the salt and pepper tofu is incredible) and generous portions which are great for sharing. I love the range of noodle dishes. I usually order direct from their website

Best Chinese in the area. Must have literally tried every dish over the years, and every time it’s arrived piping hot, good quality, and the containers full. Love how you can order crispy beef/chicken with a selection of sauces. And one of the few Chinese places that do a proper thick satay sauce, not watered down pish like other places! Updated and lower review - asked for salt and chilli ROAST pork. And got home and it was deep fried in batter. Went in the bin as can’t eat batter at the moment. Thank you very much.

I’ve ordered a few times from Hung Fung now and enjoyed the food each time. I’m quite picky and they’ve been consistently good! My new go to Chinese in the local area.

Very Polite. Curry good but not super, nice portion. Rice reasonable. Spring rolls duck slightly overdone but they were very tasty, so can't complain. I will revisit though because looks very clean and that's important.

Reviews below surprise me. Our favourite Chinese in Edinburgh. Every meal we have tried has been absolutely superb. Never had any problems with delivery drivers or ordering. Tried a few places before settling on this Chinese. No reason for us to try other places as this place surpasses our expectations every time. Just eat reviews seem more accurate in our opinion with 5.6 out of 6

Bloody awful... Up at 1.30am spewing up and on the loo for an hour... Not too mention was told to wait outside as had no mask as I'm exempt.. told them no it's freezing but still told not to come in without one or wait outside even though the only one wearing a mask in there was the girl behind the counter and they have the biggest plastic screen up....this is all I'd had to eat that day due to working 12 hours solid.. Used to order from here for years when Raymond had it and it was always amazing but certainly won't be back after that.

Delivery driver was SO rude. We left a note with the door number for our building as the website doesn't allow "/" characters in the address line. He buzzed our door number no problem, we let him in, though he went to the wrong door once inside. Again, not a problem as I chased him up. However, he was immediately shouting at me, giving me abuse for no reason, causing distress to the neighbors who's door he'd just knocked by accident. Will be lucky if I order from Hung Fung again as I will not tolerate angry delivery drivers. Food however was consistently lovely which is a deep shame.

Best Chinese in Edinburgh, gutted it’s closing, been going for 29 years!

Food wasn’t that great. Only thing I would order again is the chicken wings. Everything else could tell no effort to prepare. Won’t be ordering again from them.

Had heard good things about this place so thought we'd try. We ordered the chicken noodle soup, sweet and sour chicken in batter, and Kung Po chicken, with fried rice. The rice was nice. Kung Po chicken was ok. The chicken in batter was very chewy and difficult to cut. The batter tasted like it was cooked in old oil. Didn't enjoy one bit. The soup was nicely flavoured but the noodles tasted quite pasty (corn flour? Starch?) and the chicken in the soup was also quite chewy. This aside, the service was good and the food arrived early. Don't think we'll order again though.

Possibly the worst take away I 've ever had. I hardly ate any of it as it looked off, and I was sick all night. They have refused to deal with my complaint, blocked me on messenger, never again!!

Food was absolutely horrible. The chicken in the noodle soup didn’t even look like chicken and it was just fatty bits! Took like 3 bites and had to bin it so a waste of money. Won’t be ordering again

Our normal Chinese was shut so we tried here we were not disappointed fast delivery and really hot food only slight comment but just a personal preference for me the sweet and sour was a bit to much sour and not enough sweet but apart from that would definitely recommend

Ordered beef satay but it was more of a spicy gravy. The bbq spare ribs sauce was very bland. The shredded chilli chicken was ok and the salt and chilli chips were good.

Food was fine but we'd deliberately selected this one as it advertised a shorted order time than the others, but was then 20 minutes late. No update from the restaurant and no extras/discount offered to compensate.

DO NOT ORDER. Found wood and metal in noodles. Read on - Hung Fung takeaway was absolutely disgusting. I am not the type of person to complain but I have never had such a horrible take away experience. The order was wrong, the chowmein had no soy sauce it had oyster sauce which I did not ask for the prawn toast cost £4.00 and was genuinely one small piece of brown bread fried with burnt peas inside.. but reasonably tasty. I called back to change the order as basically a chow mein and prawn toast and small can of juice cost me £14 I couldn't believe the price for the quantity and quality. I called back the woman shouted down the phone and was so rude never apologised. Refused refund but I finally convinced her to deliver another chow mein at least and it was even worse and she shouted at me at my door. The meat was grey and the sauce was the same it was basically chicken stock very slimey. I had to remove all the meat and try to then sit down and eat it cold, really put off and stressed.. and that is when I found a centemeter size piece of WOOD with METAL/plastic wrapper/packaging attached to it inside the chow mein noodles. I am absolutely disgusted I am going to seriously report them this is foul service foul food ridiculous prices and actually a safety hazard as their was wood and metal in my chow mein. I am shocked. I will be going into the take away myself and seriously speaking to them tomorrow as they are now closed.

I order from Hung Fung religiously and always recommend them, usually i get salt chilli chicken with salt chilli chips etc and can never fault it. tonight i ordered a chicken curry instead for something different, which it arrived before estimated time as always but when dishing up the chinese, i pointed out to my partner that the pieces of chicken were a weird brown colour, i genuinely thought they’d have me a beef curry by accident. i cut a few pieces of the chicken to inspect further and the off colour was through every piece. i called the chinese and simply explained and advised i did not want another curry which they offered but i would like a portion of salt chilli chicken instead to which they said if i wanted salt chilli chicken, i’d get a smaller portion as it’s a higher priced item, which i thought considering the circumstances was ridiculous. not only was i already massively disappointed, the rest of my food was then getting cold, the managers attitude was very rude, when i explained the rest of my order will be cold by the time i receive the salt chilli chicken, she didn’t care. so i told them to keep it and i will never order from here again. considering i order all the time and never ever complain, the least they could have done was replace my order.

Honestly, it was ok. My partner didn’t enjoy hers, because her preference is a sweeter, sweet and sour chicken. The rice tasted a little strange as well but I couldn’t put my finger on it. On my end, a salt and chilli chicken was perfectly satisfying. Overall I’d say it’s fine. Neither here nor there.

Personally i would like a refund for the chicken fried rice to say the least. The dish was very greasy, the chicken and ham pieces were chewy which put me right off my meal therefore i never ate it and the rice was burnt. The worst fried rice i have ever had. The chicken pieces were also brown in colour which gave me the fear it may have not been chicken again putting me off so the dish wasn't eaten. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!

Went in tonight and guy taking order was great. Chatty and friendly. Not being funny but can't remember having a conversation anywhere else while waiting for my order. Food was excellent too.

Both the wonton soup and the chicken & noodle soup were so revolting we threw them in the bin -Oddly yellow wontons with a bright pink, hard filling that tasted just awful. The chicken in the chicken and noodle soup was pure white, with the texture of sinews. While the dumplings and Hung Shao were fine enough, we ended up ordering more food from a different restaurant after binning the soups.

My favourite Chinese and always has been, the food is of a higher quality than all the rest. delivery was quick as always. I was in the middle of a game of FIFA when it arrived, finished my game then started on my food. still had to blow on it to cool it down lolol 5 stars ⭐️

I received rotten chicken, grey in colour and tasted rancid. So I called the restaurant for either a refund or a replacement and was told that they would only replace half the price of the curry. I spoke to the manager who refused to refund my order then just hung up on me. Do not order from this restaurant.

Will NEVER order from here again. It was late so I had to call and ask what was going on. Another 15 minutes later it arrived and was completely inedible. Never again.

Not the best quality. No dips for dim sum.
