I came to zizzi with my friend and had a lovely meal would recommend coming to zizzi Linda was very good and her service was amazing

The food is not bad here but the atmosphere is a bit different as this whole area is under construction nearby. It felt a little hollow here with so many empty seats. Hopefully business will pick up once the construction finishes up for good.

Large open space, with a nice view of the harbor. Service was great thanks Aleks, you were great! Food excellent Italian dishes, nice wines. Just a nice evening of eating out.

I normally like Zizzi but had a bad experience at this particular branch. I made a booking for a celebration dinner for my family of 4. When we turned up for our reservation at half nine, we were immediately told they weren't taking any more customers. It was obvious we weren't welcome but I mentioned the booking and we were begrudgingly taken to a table. On the way to the table, the server told me they would be shutting in forty minutes. As reservations online went all the way up to ten o'clock, this was confusing. I decided to leave because a rushed meal with unhappy staff wasn't appealing at all. The server encountered us as we left and looked clearly happy when we said we'd decided to go elsewhere. I complained online saying that 'Reservations should only be possible up to a reasonable length of time before the restaurant shuts.' and I did get an apology. It's not enough to make me ever return to this branch as our evening was ruined. I also think this branch of Zizzi has a food court feel plus you're required to use the external shopping centre toilets. Other branches have a much better atmosphere.

Good food, nothing amazing, well located.

Tasty food and excellent service by Linda. The restaurant has a lovely sea view and is spacious. Ocean terminal building itself could be a bit better. After the shops close its quite dark and seems un-inviting. More lights and colour perhaps?

"We don't serve on the terrace" - and 10 people outside with drinks on the terrace. Your cool styled Staff should focus on core Business = their guests. Expensive, impolite - avoid it!

This was a disappointing visit. After we were shown to a table we were left for ages. We had to ask a member of staff if we could order tea and coffee. The insulated glasses that the beverage was served in meant it took quite a while for the drinks to cool enough to drink. We weren't impressed

Rather dead here at ocean terminal. The restaurant was almost empty. Service was OK. However tables were sticky and everything felt like it needed a good deep clean. Food was OK. I love a Zizzi pizza but this was very average. Base felt a bit limp and undercooked. For the money I expect better.

I go to Zizzis in Leith all the time, today again I have been served by lovely Linda (who is my favourite person in the world!!), I absolutely love the food, the staff, the views are amazing. Definitely recommend!!

Zizzi serves mouthwatering pizza and lasagne against a backdrop of a captivating sea view. Food was not only delicious but the atmosphere was also ideal for a delightful dining experience.

I don't think the food was bad tasting, it was good, however some toppings (pepperoni) were more preserved and processed possibly less fresh than others on the pizza. The portion size was large. View good, service friendly and not many people. Price was around £2.5 higher than what I would have paid.

The restaurant has nice servers and a decent view, but it is located in a rather depressing mall. There are several vegan options on the menu, which I think is great. However, they're not very good (from what I've seen in other reviews, there other food isn't much better). The vegan meatless meatballs were acceptable but quite dry. The vegan mozzarella  they used for the pizza tasted like béchamel. As for the vegan rainbow lasagne, it could have been ok if they'd used something like fried aubergine instead of frozen spinach for the filling, but, with the spinach, it was pretty much the same as a frozan lasagne from a supermarket that has been defrosted in the microwave. The tuscan-style potatoes were decent, but quite generic. The Zillionaire's fudge cake was fine, but you should order it without the honeycomb pieces because they are ridiculously sticky and absolutely inedible. Finally, the raspberry collins cheesecake is ok, but nothing special. All in all, the food was ok, and the ambience too, but I wouldn't pick this place over any of the local vegan/vegetarian places in Edinburgh, Newhaven or Leath. In conclusion, you can eat vegan food here, and it probably won't kill you (unless you try to chew and swallow the honeycomb pieces).

Firstly the food was horrible. Pizzas, paper thin with close to no topping. The service was embarrassing, one of the waiters kept starting at us and the waitress with blue hair started rolling a cigarette at the table! Never coming here again.

Very thin and crispy pizzas, just delicious. Linda makes a great job: very friendly, efficient and always an open ear for the needs of her guests 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Poor vegetarian options. Miniature, mediocre ravioli. Still hungry, went elsewhere to top up. Hope Zizi pays multiple city rates for the sea views. Wife's mushroom risotto was tasteless.

The waitress Linda was very friendly, chatty and catered for all our needs. She made us feel very welcome and made our visit really pleasurable. Will definitely be back.

The Vegan food was the best we have had in a very long time. Both Pizzas and Pastas were sublime and the Tuscan Potatoes were to die for. The service was very good and extremely friendly.

Very tasty food, very attentive service and the view of the harbor is quite nice. It's just not necessarily comfortable because of the large hall in which you sit. And you have to select the tip directly on the display when paying, which I personally didn't like.

We had lunch at Zizzi after touring the Royal Yacht. Great views, great fod and most of all, great service by Tara !

I went with my friend and our children for her birthday and I am not coming any more. I haven't before and the food and price it is right but the service from one waiter was unacceptable and inappropriate because children were a little noisy. He made us vey uncomfortable and it was excessive his commentary feeling us uncomfortable and judging as a parents when they were told children off. So no go with children no friendly and understanding with them and parents.

Got told someone would come over to seat us as we walked in the door, we were still stood there 10 minutes later, unseated to then be told they couldn’t actually seat us ( there was maybe 5 tables in). Dissapointed

Terrible dinner ! So 1stly we waited ages to be served and it wasn't busy ! When food arrived our pizzas ( paper thin ) had next to no toppings honestly iv never see such a poorly topped pizza ! On top of that it was cold ! Then my wife found a short black curly hair in the cheese ! They replaced the pizza , then we asked for my daughters hot chocolate and ice cream the managed said but that's alot of chocolate.... lol well mate that's non of your business. My Hot melt chocolate pudding came ! Nothing hot about it ! Cold nothing melted ! So i asked for a hot 1 as described in the menu! they put the same one in the microwave hahaha after all this I was still charged full price ! I'll never be back and would suggest you giving this place a miss

This place was fantastic. We visited after visiting HMY Britannia. The menu had a lot of options and they all looked good. We were seated next to windows over looking the water and a boat named Roman Rebel. The service was quick and helpful. The server answered all of our questions and was very friendly. We all enjoyed the food and wine. We will definitely return.

Had the lunch here while visiting Edinburgh. Really very good experience. Food is nice . Very is amazing. Last but not least Linda is very friendly and attentive staff . Happy to come here 🥰

Sadly the quality has lowered dramatically. They’ve either changed recipes or got lazy, because there was barely any sauce in the pasta, so a bowl of dry pasta. And the carbonara was terrible,the coating was bad

What gives these large CO’s the right to decline legal tender ( cash ) and insist on card payment only. Walked down the mall and spent £90 cash with Pizza Express who provided an outstanding meal and great service!!!!

This Zizzi's accepts clubcard vouchers which is a bonus. However, the pizza i ordered the waitress said 'we might not have a certain type of mushroom for it, shall we use normal mushrooms?' which I said was fine but when the pizza came out it was actually missing most of the ingredients! It was nothing more than plain garlic bread with a tiny sprinkling of plain mushrooms and some chillies. I was a bit gutted, especially as the price of it was close to £20! Shame, I've had amazing service from other Zizzi's (especially Cardiff)

Went with a pal before the cinema. We both really enjoyed the food that arrived quickly and were suitably stuffed afterwards. Aleksandra really looked after us and despite how busy they were, she managed to turn up promptly whenever we needed her. We will definitely be back for future cinema trips!

We hadn't been to a Zizzi for a while and were pleasantly surprised by the excellent service and tasty food. Perfect for a quick meal before the cinema.

With Tesco vouchers in hand we found ourselves in Zizzi @ Ocean Terminal - friendly welcome - drinks order taken quickly - menu was standard Zizzi - presented well - tasty - for the price no complaints and the service was excellent. Thank You

Although this place has tourist prices, it's a bit expensive for the pizzas, even though they look large they don't have much things on them

Went to Zizzi, Ocean Terminal for lunch today. Used to be regulars here but haven't been since before covid as the food & service had taken a nosedive. No change today. My calzone was warm enough around the edges but stone cold & disgusting inside. I had to sent it back & request they remove it from the bill. My wife's pizza was similarly poor - low quality ingredients, over cooked, dry & a base like cardboard. She couldn't eat more than half of it. When the bill arrived, unsurprisingly, the waitress hadn't removed the charge for the calzone as she said she would so we had to again request it was taken off the bill. The only thing that was acceptable with the whole meal was my diet coke. We paid £20.60 for my Diet Coke and my wife's semi-edible pizza & left. We gave Zizzi another go but shouldn't have wasted our time or money. A disgusting, disgrace of a restaurant these days. We won't be back!

Expensive and expensive products on pizza like a cat crying

Linda and Marak served us today and they were excellent. We have been to Zizis in Ocean Terminal a few times and been lucky enough to have Linda all three times. The service has always been great!

food and drinks looked weird, not make properly( Calamari)

After movie afternoon we went for some bite to Zizzi. Unfortunately the food I ordered was raw, seems the chef forgot to put it on the frying pan 😪. I returned the food. They offered me something else but I refused.

Not been to zizzis in years, walked in after going to the cinemas and we were served and got our food quickly! Food was good, staff was lovely and were extra careful with a member of our group who had allergies!

The pizzas we ordered were absolutely delicious!!! Thin and fresh pastry with really tasty toppings giving that authentic Italian flavour. Can’t praise enough the manager who ensured a great atmosphere and took extra care of our table even though the restaurant was very busy. Would 100% recommend.

When ordered chose restaurant due to short delivery time. Once order placed and when checking at start of delivery time noticed order delayed by 40 mins. When delivered the driver was at houses well away from our apartment despite a pin on the map being in the correct place. Food was stone cold on delivery and required heating in the oven. Overall not satisfied with service of just eat.

We had a great meal and the service was good to start with then the poor service started we had decided to have a sweet and a coffee to finish off a really great night but unfortunately not sure if there was a change off staff but it was ridiculously slow waited 10 mins for sweet menus then 20 minutes later we had to look for someone to take our order we had waited so long we decided against desert and my wife had a coffee but they lost money due to time it took to order Shame really because it was a really good meal and service until the end

I've been here an awful lot - for ages there was no where else to go. I've found staff are generally friendly and the food generally good. If you want to modify the menu - like ordering a creamy pasta dish without the cream -they are very good. [Update: May 2023] I no longer come here an awful lot but they sent me a birthday offer (tip: join their club) so I accepted. It was as good. Friendly staff, flexible food and I really appreciate a menu designed for a conscious eater. I don't know what the future of Ocean Terminal is but I'm pleased to see this Zizzi still here.

Great service, but let down by the general decline in Ocean Terminal. Pizza was undercooked and bland compared to Zizzi's usual.

Had a really good time but seemed to be pretty understaffed and staff seemed run off their feet, they were absolutely lovely though and smiled through it. Food was good, calamari was very anemic and not crispy, ordered one gf and one non-gf pizza and was given 2 gf pizzas but in fairness they were very good gf pizzas for a chain.

Went here on Thursday afternoon, wasn't too busy. The staff were great and very attentive, and the view of the Britannia yacht and Firth of Forth were ideal.

Our night was made better by the amazing service and the food was on par with the service as well, me and my partner have worked many years in the industry and we can tell when people are passionate about their work, the servers where very polite and made sure to check on our needs as well as the speedy drinks and service. the food was served in a timely fashion and the view of the water out the giant bay window is a selling point for sure. we have had many sub-par experiences at restaurants across the city in our lives and can for sure say, this is not one of them, highly recommend to anyone wanting a great food/ atmosphere for their night 10/10. special thanks to Torva and crew at ocean terminal for the amazing night.

This place has lovely views out to sea and the Britannia. We both enjoyed our food and drink. The service was quick and the food tasty.

Da italiana posso dire che la pizza non era assolutamente male, però molto lontana dalla nostra. Il tutto migliorato dalla vista sul mare. Offrono uno snack di benvenuto. Prezzi un po’ sopra alla norma.

Been of work for 1 week and thought we would venture out so came to ocean terminal and came to zizzi for food Can’t fault the food it was lovely , but the service is terrible , the waiting staff need shown how to set a table while people are sitting at it , drinks to ages but got them eventually , but well done to the chef

I was very excited to try Zizi ( I checked the menu beforehand) But what a disappointment !I’ve been told there are no prawns So I chose fish with spinach My fish came with chips ( no spinach) And then while I was eating I saw a waiter walking past my table with …Prawns ! I won’t go back And it is not worth the money

Food quality below average, compared to Italian food in general (e.g. chicken didn‘t taste fresh, caprese served without basil and mozzarella not sliced - only a fraction of one piece was not sufficient for the whole amount of tomatoes). Instead prices were not matching overall quality. On top of all this when presenting the bill service preset tip to 12.5 % which is below acceptable. This was a disappointing dinner experience for my wife and me. I would definitely not recommend to visit Zizzi.

Well, we were refused to be served… Two families, 3 children. 7 people all together. Places were available, but waiter refused to accept us. We don’t know why. Definitely not recommended 😕

The service was not the greatest the staff said follow me and left menus at table and walked away so we had to guess that it was our table and when delivering our food it was just here's your food attitude and no smile from the server not great service at all and an I don't care attitude However the food was great, well presented and very delicious so thanks to the chefs

The food is pretty reasonable for the price especially if you have voucher or discount codes, It's not brilliant, but it's a chain restaurant trying to keep prices down and it's tasty enough to leave you feeling happy & full and not feeling ripped off. Like almost everywhere I eat, service is friendly & really attentive - until it comes time to trying to get the bill. Suddenly absolutely no-one seems to look your way or come near your table. It might just be me, but I think I acquire the power of invisibility once I feel full & ready to leave. The atmosphere is totally lacking at Zizzi Ocean Terminal though, which is unsurprising given that it's in a very large, open area in a 3/4-empty shopping centre and totally open to the floors above. It feels like eating in a massive hanger, and the noise can be off-putting especially if you have sensory issues where too much noise can be totally overwhelming. Overall, it's a decent-enough place for Italian-style food, but barn-like, noisy and not somewhere you'd really want to linger too long once you're finished.

Personal war nicht das freundlichste und kaum waren wir mit dem Essen fertig, kam die Rechnung, kein Chance zum Verweilen. Waren mit 6 Personen da und auch keine Info das man nicht Cash zahlen kann. Service Gebühren sehr hoch für wenig Service.

Had a couple of meals here recently - a lunch and a dinner. On both occasions the food was excellent 👍 and the service professional and friendly. A bonus point is the marvellous view over the Firth of Forth. Would recommend a visit.

Extremely disappointed first time in Zizzi. Staff did not look happy or attentive at all. The food was disgusting didn’t taste of anything. Pasta was like mush supposed to be Chianti beef ragu, the pizza no toppings on it ! And chips must have been dropped into cold oil ! Staff did not ask how meal was at all. The Malbec wine was lovely. Staff did remove items from the bill to be fair. The cooks (not chefs) looked miserable too would never return or recommend. Shame as this location is beautiful. Think they need to step it up here.

The food was utterly awful. This applies to all the food we ordered - a pizza, a pasta dish and a vegetarian lentil dish. Although the ingredients were present, they were all tasteless. The chicken in the pasta dish was rubbery and inedible. On top of everything, it was far from cheap and there was no offer of any price reduction when we complained; we were told that they hoped it would be better next time! - no chance of that!! No wonder the place was empty.

Had a lovely meal with my sister looking out to HMY Britannia. Service was good. The food was what you would expect from Zizzi's.

Asked for dressing on the side (this was even printed on the receipt that came with the delivery) but salad came with dressing all through it so I couldn’t eat most of the dish.

Bland food , out of Salmon and Pork . Asked for chicken in a mushroom risotto as they had no salmon and it came served on a skewer in massive chunks. Never tasted such bland Italian food skip this and go to Pizza Express . Nice sea view nice staff that’s only reason for higher stars

Recently came here twice during a trip to Leith. Found the location and setting to be very good and a nice outside area on a calm sunny day. The staff were very professional and attentive. The only criticism was the food let it down, not much ingredients on the servings i.e. pizza, risotto and salads. We used Tesco club vouchers for the food, which was the only consolation.

Went here for a dinner on 2nd May. Stood at the entrance where the sign says “Wait here to be seated”. The restaurant was very quiet. Two members of staff walked by several times. Nothing. So we did the old count to 20 trick and if there’s no service just leave. We went to Frankie & Bennie upstairs in OT where the staff were keen to have our custom. I used to love this Zizzi but now it deserves to close. Staff very, very lazy

I did not get Italian garden pizza. Restaurant did not want to send another pizza or refund me. I loved the pizza, but will not order with them again.
