I used to absolutely love this chippy. My family has been going for years, and with us living just three miles away, it’s always been a firm favourite. Unfortunately, after my most recent experience, it’s now a place I will never visit again. At the end of November, my husband and I ordered seven portions of food for ourselves, our children, and my father. Once we arrived and paid, a member of staff made a comment to the woman preparing our order: "I’m not doing this order, I’ll just poison it." This employee has a brief history with my husband and clearly still holds a grudge. Shocked and horrified, I contacted the owner that evening. After a few exchanges, I was advised that this is now considered a civil matter and was told to contact the company’s lawyers. It’s baffling that a company would think it’s acceptable for employees to threaten customers. My advice to anyone working in public-facing roles: if you can’t handle certain situations, perhaps working with the public isn’t the right choice. This whole incident is both sad and embarrassing—for the employee involved and the company as a whole.

So disappointing! Went for a birthday meal with my wife two sons and daughter. Ordered ribeye steak medium done. It arrived overcooked, dry and tasteless. First time I have ever sent a meal back. They were very good and without hesitation took it away and got a fresh. I kid you not it was no better, so much so that I couldn’t eat it. Never again will I go to the dormay what a disappoint!

This is a delightful guesthouse for big group trips. Chloe and Lydia were very helpful and welcoming. We were up for a milestone birthday celebration and enjoyed a Full Scottish Breakfast before a memorable lunch for 16 of us. The surrounding area is beautiful and despite battling Storm Babet we enjoyed the unspoilt scenery. The In. Is a short drive away from the world famous Gleneagles Golf Resort and we were warmly welcomed by all the locals in the area. Highly Recommended.

Spending a week at Gleneagles in Scotland is nothing short of a luxurious retreat into elegance and charm. Known for its stunning grounds and top-tier hospitality, this iconic hotel offers an experience that lives up to its world-class reputation. One of the highlights of the stay is undoubtedly the breakfast at Strathearn Restaurant. Dining here is a treat for all the senses. The restaurant offers both an à la carte menu and a buffet line, catering to every palate. The selection is wonderful, featuring a wide array of delectable options. A personal favorite is the Scottish smoked salmon—rich, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The quality of the food is matched by the impeccable service, with the staff ensuring every meal is an experience to remember. Beyond breakfast, Strathearn continues to shine with its sophisticated offerings for other meals, making it a culinary destination in itself. The charm of the restaurant is enhanced by its elegant ambiance and interior, making every dining moment feel special. The facilities at Gleneagles are absolutely lovely, combining historic feel with modern comfort. Every corner exudes sophistication, from the beautifully maintained gardens to the beautiful interiors of the hotel. Whether you’re enjoying a leisurely stroll or unwinding in the spa. I love the heated pool and it features both indoor and outdoor too. Gleneagles also boasts an array of activities and amenities to keep guests engaged, whether it’s golf on the renowned courses, falconry, or simply basking in the beauty of Scotland’s countryside. In conclusion, a week at Gleneagles is a blend of relaxation, indulgence, and adventure. The stunning facility, the exquisite dining at Strathearn, and the warm, attentive service create memories that will linger long after departure. Highly recommended for those seeking an unforgettable Scottish getaway.

I have been to this restaurant on a few occasions and had no issues. I booked to go there for dinner for my wife's birthday and it was a disaster. I booked a table for 7pm and arrived a 6.55 to find I had to join a queue of people in the lobby and out the doorway into the street. All these people had also booked for 7pm. We were asked for our names and booking details and were told we would be seated “soon” We stood there in the doorway until 7.30 when we walked out. There was no indications as to how long we would have to wait even though we asked. In the 35 minutes we stood there nobody that was finished left the restaurant so there was no movement in this queue of any kind. I like this restaurant but will not book again as it is clear they got greedy and overbooked. The worrying thing is they require a deposit of £10 per person when its a group of 5 people or more. Can you imagine paying that and standing in a doorway waiting to be seated when you’ve paid a deposit upfront. Greedy overbooking

If you find yourself wandering through Auchterarder and craving something deliciously different, look no further than Bilal Tandoori. This little gem specializes in kebab tandoori and is the perfect spot for a quick takeaway that doesn’t skimp on flavor or quality—plus, it won’t break the bank! The ambiance here is casual and laid-back, making it an ideal stop for a satisfying meal on the go. The prices are delightfully cheap, so you can indulge without feeling guilty. And let me tell you, their signature dish, the frogs’ eyebrows, is a must-try! It’s unique, packed with flavor, and will leave your taste buds dancing with joy. But if you’re in the mood for something a bit more familiar, you can’t go wrong with their mixed kebab wrap. Honestly, it’s out of this world! The combination of juicy meats and vibrant spices wrapped in soft, warm bread is like a cozy hug for your stomach. And for all the cheese lovers out there, their pizza is super cheesy and oh-so-satisfying—a perfect companion to the kebabs! Service at Bilal Tandoori is just as succulent as the food—friendly faces ready to serve you up a taste of their culinary delights. So, whether you’re a local or just passing through, make sure to stop by Bilal Tandoori for a takeaway that promises to be a delicious and memorable experience. You won’t regret it! Signing off big Tony 👌🙏
