Sheray Punjab in Perth & Kinross

My wife, daughter (6months) and I popped in on one of our regular journeys between Dundee and Glasgow and will definitely be back. Although it was quiet (holiday weekend with sunny weather) there was still a great atmosphere and we couldn't have been looked after better. The owner was friendly and helpful, always available without lurking and when we had just started our meal and my daughter decided that she wanted our attention the owner even played with her and gave her a tour so we could eat before our food got cold. Really amazing service that you just don't get anymore. I had the Methi Masala and I'd definitely recommend it.

Got a takeaway and despite having an old menu with a lot of curries they no longer do the guy on the phone endeavoured to get us something near what we were looking for, both of which tasted excellent, were delivered quickly and piping hot. Brilliant service from start to finish and the food was top quality. Would highly recommend.

Popped in for dinner, way exceeded expectations. We had Chicken Tandoori to start followed by Railway Lamb curry and Goan Fish curry. Everything tasted great and very friendly service to boot. Happily recommend!

Butter Chicken is heavenly! The creamy sauce and perfectly cooked chicken make this a go-to dish. Every bite is just delicious.

Very impressed with food and menu choice, not one of those with the loonnnggg list of curries on offer. Street food starters very different and delicious. Mains tasted authentic and very good value considering excellent quality. Definitely one to try and we will be back. Our 4 star for atmosphere is only due to number of covers but we are sure that as word gets around popularity will grow.

This is my first Sheray Punjab since the new owners took over. I was very impressed with the food we ordered 3 pizzas (10" all under £10) and a curry meal deal for one just under £16. The driver is a lovely gentleman. They forgot to pop in the vegetable pakora with the meal deal but a quick phone call and they sent it right over. And they were delicious,crunchy and full of flavor. Delivery was just over an hour. They have a big menu so look forward to trying other things.

Myself and my husband ate at this restaurant on Good Friday 2025. I cannot recommend it highly enough; amazing food and excellent staff. We had the combo pakora platter to share to start - the haggis pakoras are insane!!!! Then we shared a Lamb Railway Curry, rice and Peshawari naan. The curry was beautifully flavoursome, not too spicy and the lamb soft and tender. And the naan, OMG the BEST peshwari naan I’ve ever had!!None of your stodgy bready naan bread here, just a kind of thinish, light, fluffy naan with beautiful delicate flavour. It’s a family run business who have recently taken over the restaurant and they’ve clearly put their hearts and soul into the place and the food certainly reflects this. Food is exceptional as is the service and it was very reasonably priced. If you’re in the Auchterader area or even in the vicinity make an effort to visit this place, you will not be disappointed.

Post-takeover it's now the best Indian in Auchterarder and surrounding area. Bar none. Highly recommend Kulcha Mince Naan and Goanese Fish Curry.

Lamb Handi is a traditional masterpiece. Slow-cooked to perfection, the flavors are deep and rich. A dish that will leave you craving more!

We have been staying local and got a takeaway. Phoned in booked for collection Indian for the adults and pizza for the kids. I was very happy with my meal, the Indian food was great, little spicy for a couple of our group. The kids had peppormi and meat feast pizza. They said it was a little odd as it had curried meats, but they ate it all. Overall, I am very happy, quick service for collection great food.

Yet another great meal. Delivery was quick and food was hot. Every time I have a meal from the Sheray Punjab it takes me back to the West End of Glasgow to the curry houses that I frequented as a student. A1

Chicken Malai Korma is rich and creamy with a mild sweetness. The chicken was incredibly tender. This dish is a winner!

Salmon Tandoori was a unique and delicious experience. The fish was perfectly cooked and had a great smoky flavor. A must-try for seafood lovers!

Chicken Chettinad is spicy and aromatic, a true delight for spice lovers. The chicken is cooked perfectly, and the flavors are bold. Loved it!

Our first visit since the new owners arrived. Was not a fan of the food under the previous ownership but the food we had on this visit was delicious. The service was excellent and friendly in the small but welcoming restaurant. The menu is varied and interesting so we were spoiled for choice. The Goanese Fish Curry was fantastic but will definitely need to visit again to try some of the other dishes that caught my eye.

Refurbishment looks good and great friendly service. Pretty disappointed with two dishes; very bland and “watery”. Not so great.

The Chicken Pakora was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, with the perfect blend of spices. Absolutely delightful!

Achari Gosht was tangy, spicy, and full of flavor. The lamb was tender and cooked beautifully. One of the best curries I've had!

The Dhaba Chicken Curry reminds me of home-cooked meals. Spicy, rich, and hearty – the perfect comfort food. A must-try!

Malabari King Prawns were rich in coconut flavors and spices. The prawns were tender and flavorful. Definitely worth ordering!

The Combo Platter is a fantastic mix of all the best dishes! Everything was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend it for variety lovers.

Excellent service! Malai Chicken Tikka is incredibly tender, juicy, and rich in flavors. The creamy marinade made the chicken melt in my mouth. Delicious!

The Tandoori Chicken is perfectly charred on the outside while remaining juicy inside. The smokey flavor is to die for. Best tandoori I've ever had!

Absolutely smashing! Sheray is under new management and we paid our first visit tonight. Food was excellent. I ordered off menu and was delighted with the food. There were 4 of us and we each had a different main meal and starter. Clean plates all round. Service was excellent. Very knowledgeable on the food and a very warm welcome. Brilliant to have a great local restaurant.

Fantastic! Now under new management and it definitely shows. The restaurant has been given a fresh little makeover and the staff were so so lovely, really attentive and sweet with our 6 year old. The food was delicious, menu really varied and clear. They have a little street food section on the menu that might mean I have to be rolled out the restaurant next time, or by crane, haven’t decided yet! Honestly 10/10. So great to finally have a brilliant Indian in the village we can just walk to or get a takeaway and know we won’t be disappointed with

Under new management so any reviews before Feb 25 won’t reflect the refurbished restaurant. The staff were very attentive and welcoming. The mini popadoms were a nice touch. The food was pretty good but probably a bit expensive. Good start. Keep it up.

Here for short break, Food was lovely and hot. We had chicken bhuna only thing that let it down was a slight lack of spice. Pakora sauce was beautiful and the garlic naan!

I was recently at Sheray Punjab with my wife Mhairi, just after the new owners opened up the new refurnished restaurant. I must say the service and food was first class,we really enjoyed it.The chef even came downstairs and spoke to us aswell.ive tried other restaurants in Auchterarder,but I must say,this food is the best in the town, and we will definitely be back soon. We loved this place because it wasn’t just the typical dishes you usually find. We ended up ordering Biriyani and vegetarian dishes. The food was exceptional, and the service was outstanding as well. We were thoroughly satisfied with our experience.👌❤️

We went in last night too get food! We didn’t realise that it had new owners! They were extremely friendly and welcoming the food we got was incredible (best pizza I’ve had in a long time) and the new menu looks brilliant! We will definitely be going back soon to try more

We had a brilliant meal when we visited on a Saturday night in February. Free poppadoms and spice onions were served with drinks. For starters, we had a Chicken Puri and a Lamb Kathi roll, which was a new dish for me. Very tasty with deep smoky flavours. For mains, we had an excellent Chicken Tikka Chasni, where the chicken was tender and full of flavour. We also had a Lamb Railway Curry, again a new dish. This was rich, spicy and very moreish. Served with rice and a light, fluffy Nan Bread. One of the best Peshwari Nans we’ve had. Service was warm and friendly and very reasonably priced. A great Indian meal in a small town which is usually hard to find. Definitely be back. Good luck all.

In all my years in Auchterarder, to many to mention, all the carry out meals, tonight’s at Sherry Punjab must without a shadow of doubt be the worst ever. If this is a restaurant after a re furb it won’t be long until closed for good.

This has to be our favourite Indian restaurant in Perthshire. Paul and his team provide an excellent service and delicious food which in the last 20 years has been to a very high standard in quality and flavours. Eating in the restaurant is a great experience and the takeaways never disappoint. I would highly recommend this fabulous restaurant

The staff were friendly, but the food was shocking, we ordered a chicken tikka masala, which had the weirdest greasy taste to it, the onion bhaji tasted like it had been cooked the previous week, nothing tasted fresh at all, and it ended up all going in the bin! Don't waste your money on this indian!

Every meal went in the bin. Avoid, Avoid, Avoid. No flavour, the onion baji, were dry, and greasy? And all the curry had no recognisible flavours just slop. Not good at all sorry, juat very dissapointing.

I was on holiday with family, and we all decided to get a takeaway, being a vegan your choices are limited and some takeaways, you have to be careful with there ingredients, I popped in to speak to the very friendly staff,and I ordered a veg biryani, a hot vegetable curry and a plain naan ,they used all clean pans and made me one of the nicest biryanis I've ever had ,loaded with an amazing array of vegetables,absolute flavour bomb,and would highly recommend this lovely restaurant in Auchterarder, thanks guys !!!

We used to live in the area and often ordered a takeaway from the Sherry at weekends. It was always good so when we found ourselves staying over in Aberuthven we decided to order some food. The dish I ordered was a chicken Dansak. I don’t know what I got but it certainly wasn’t a Dansak and it was fairly bland. My wife ordered a garlic nan and got a plain one. Not great.

Dined here last night. The food and service was good and I very much enjoyed it. The prices are ridiculously expensive. The restaurant was empty and I wasn't suprised.

These guys stayed open “late” for us, when we discovered that everything seems to close in Auchterarder at 9pm on a Thursday!! Lovely meal, with a few Cobras, just what was needed. Thank you Sheray Punjab, we’ll definitely be back!

Had pizza and chips takeaway from here. Two of the best pizzas we have ever had and the chips were great too. We will definetly order here again when we fancy pizza

Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Really enjoyed it. Will call again next time we are in aughterarder. Would recommend it to anyone who enjoys Indian food.

My self and my curry connoisseur husband ate at this gem while on a few days break. It has to be said that i have never seen my husband so quite when eating a meal and that's telling you the quality of the dishes we ordered. FOOD..SERVICE..and ATMOSPHERE was on the money get your order in then sit and enjoy the on the house poppadoms the wait for your mains is because the food is freshly cooked and served lovely presented and hot....it's sure to be our go to punjaby eaterie when next in Auchterarder...... I am visiter. first time come to scotland and visit one restaurant for eating had very very bad experience. Inside of the restaurant was too much smell. And they charged me extra ordinary. I told him the owner you charged me extra he misbehave with me. In menu simple naan/roti price was 3.95 but he charged me 6 pound. And further prices variation and bill is attached. Address of the restaurant also attached Please take legal action against restaurant.

Such as a wastage of money restaurant. One naan 6 pound what a big joke. 2 piece tandori chicken only tigh 23 pound. Dont recommended anyone Even branded shop are better than of that. Better to go there go KFC

We ordered meal b, the set meal for 2 people as a takeaway. We were absolutely spoiled for choice and struggled to narrow our selection down to just two of the curries. Delivery was quick and the delivery person was really friendly. The food was absolutely faultless, the rajistani curry was one of the nicest we’ve ever had. Would definitely order again when staying in the area.

Got a take away. Worst Indian take away I’ve ever had. Korma sauce was like water. Chips and Naan looked and tasted like they had been sitting for hours. Called to tell them and was told we could have a discount next time. There will be no next time. Never left a bad review for anywhere before but complete waste of £25. Sat here £25 down and nothing to eat

Previously had no issues with meals, however, our previous meal was low in quality and taste. My undersanding is the ownership has changed hands, this may be the reason? Prices have increased (which is understandable), however, along with increasing the prices they have reduced the "meal for 3" option from including 2 rice to 1 rice and 2 nans to 1 nan. I don't believe 1 rice and 1 nan is sufficient or appropriate for 3 to 4 people.

Their curries and products are always amazing, however, lately they've started putting their chips in a cheap & flimsy paper bag. What's inside is a fistfull of soggy, cold, wet chips that are all stuck together in one congealed blob. I don't think this is acceptable seeing as their TAKEAWAY chips price is £3.50. So they've put their prices up, but stopped putting their chips in an appropriate container. Not entirely sure why, as chips are surely their cheapest produce.

My second time here. This is a super Indian restaurant, the owner is really welcoming and the food is fresh and delicious. I ordered a Murch Makani and it was spot on. The food has fresh ingredients and is well presented. I will come again when passing through on my way to the Cairngorms.

I have been having a takeaway from this restaurant for the last couple of years and can say it's the best curry for miles around highly recommend very large portions taste excellent be very hard to beat give it a try 😋 veg pakora is delish 😋

Ordered naan and a lamb curry. Tastless food ever had. The lamb curry was awful. The curry taste no like lamb curry but like lamb pcs dropped into any other gravy that has nothing to do with lamb.

This restaurant was recommended by family who have raved about the food served here so we decided to have a Boxing Day treat. We were not disappointed .. the food is stunningly excellent. Each dish was so fresh tasting not the usual ready made sauces .. you could taste the different fresh spices and vegetables. The meat was of a very high standard ..tender chunks of lamb and chicken in the dishes. The nan bread was perfect and the portions were just the right size for us. The decor is very tasteful and the service spot on. We will definitely return.

Been eating here for 25 years. Always great service. Eat at your own speed. Food has always been excellent. Only fault is that the portions are very generous. See you next time.

I ordered a chicken korai. I got what looked like an extra red masala. My sister's prawn korma was like runny soup. My husband's meal, well god knows what it was . Green slimey garlic stuff on his naan bread. £80. Absolutely awful. 2 out of our group have been ill with upset stomachs all day.

Dropped in for an evening meal with my wife. The restaurant was quiet but the food was delicious. We shared a garlic king prawn starter. The prawns were beautifully cooked and were a good size and the sauce was amazing. We both had a chicken tikka dish, I had south Indian garlic chilli and my wife a milder dish. The chiched was tender and tasty and the accompanying naan bread made for a great meal. Well worth trying this restaurant 🙂

Great Indian restaurant on our way back from the Highlands. Paneer tikka kebab was excellent! Would visit again if in area.
