Saffron in Perth & Kinross

We were passing through with our camper and walked from the campsite to the restaurant with our dog for about 20 minutes. We were told on site that dogs are not allowed. We then wanted to order something to be delivered and walk back so that the food wouldn't be cold when we got back to the campsite. The restaurant would deliver the food to the campsite, but the driver can't call because it's a German cell phone number and costs extra money. So we waited outside in the rain with the dog in front of the door for our food and took it with us. Service and friendliness virtually non-existent. Too bad. Food was not a Highlight but ok.

Order for four adults and food was delicious. Delivery was early, perhaps could have been a touch warmer but was not cold at all. Will definitely order again.

The food was cold when it arrived, the 2 curries were labelled up wrong and some of the order was missing. Ordered Popadoms and pickles but when order arrived there were no popadoms or pickle, only mint yoghurt and onions. Not the best.

Food was nice but curry was lacking sauce. Was lukewarm when delivered

Had our first ever carry out from here. Had the set meal for 2, very good value. Not used to flat bhaji. Main courses and plenty of rice and sauces. Would go back and try main courses next time.

Delicious, hot, good value for money

Food was good but they didn’t update the app as the driver sat for 10mins before i decided to ask him.

My meal is always excellent and delivered quickly.

At first I thought it would be some great indian resturant by seeing its menu and prices but it was all wrong. The food looked fully coloured, it had absolutely no indian taste and there was more oil than actual food. I would definitely NOT recommend going to this place because you will definitely not like it.

DANDRUFF IN MY FOOD!! Young waiter called Jamie was very helpful serving me and my mate Marvin, WHO IDENTIFIES AS A GUNSHIP. Unfortunately we seen a chef disrupt jamie whilst he was on the phone. After waiting 35mins my korma which was COLD was brought to me, specles of DANDRUFF IN IT. HAD THE SQUIRTS THE NEXT MORNING!!!!!!

The Chicken was good however there was a small piece of plastic packaging in the food that was discovered while eating. I am sure it was an accident, but I lost my appetite after discovering.

Absolutely disgusting the chips were few and stone cold , packora swimming in grease felt it had been refried the chapatis were soggy to the point of wet and the biriani sauce was also greasy and not a lot of never again disappointed behind belief awful

Food quality is very bad. If i take one main curry i.e. paneer butter masala or mix veg curry, 30% curry and 70% oil was there in it. dal tadka was full of garlic. Roti and nan was so thick. I would give one rating to their food.

I ordered food for my dad as I live down south. He absolutely loved it! I pre ordered for a delivery around 5:30 and it arrived at 5:45 which was no problem at all as I know how these things work. Thanks for helping me make Father’s Day dinner a winner ❤️

A nice curry and tender lamb in a mild Rogan Josh sauce. Nan and popadom were cold but I understand that sometimes takeaway food gets cold. Good food and one of the best in town.

Just had a takeaway delivered to the campsite we're on. Food was delivered in the time promised and was still really hot on arrival. Taste and quality of the dishes was superb! Will use again the next time we are up this way.

The food is strange. It does not resemble the Indian food we know at all. I did not like it, especially the masala. It tastes strange.

The host and the waiter both were very rude and the food was bad. To top it all, we found hair in the daal we ordered. Do not recommend at all!

There was no veg bhaji in the order

If you want rude behaviour, bad food and hair in your then this is your go to place

Best curry I've had in a long time! Garlic chilli chicken was amazing!

After a long day of travel, we (4 of us) wanted to dine in and eat dinner at the restaurant. As soon as we enter, we are told that if you are 4 ppl, it is mandatory to order 4 full course meal if you want to sit and eat at the restaurant and apparently that is their policy! What the hell? U are forcing ppl to order more food, even though we dont want to. We might be 4 ppl, but we want to share food as we dont want to have a heavy meal, so what? What is this stupid policy? It is like you are promoting ppl to waste food! If policy doesn't make sense, it should be changed. The only sense it makes is that the restaurant owner can make more money. The food was also average, such as too much garlic in saag and too much turmeric in jalafarazi. Please do not force ppl to eat based on your illogical policy. Dont waste food! It is our right to eat what we want. No wonder there were no ppl sitting in the restaurant. Maybe change ur restaurant as "JUST TAKE AWAY".

quarter of the tub was fat ,had no heat whatsoever, spicewise, very salty you used to be really good, when you first opened, what happened?

We live local and hadn't been back since the change of staff a couple of years ago. The food was excellent we shared the mixed tandoori starter and I normally don't like kofta, it was delicious. For the main course I had a prawn Rogan josh, which was excellent and the prawn were massive. My husband had the Herb Green and likes it a hotter, which he really enjoyed. We also had the best keema nan we had ever tasted along with a rice. We brought our own wine which is a bonus. All in all we will definitely be back with friends. Thank you for a lovely meal. 😍

Atmosphere is lowly marked because it's Monday and no one was there. They had lots of takeaways orders. Located in a slightly run down collection of shops. Overall the food is good, the chilli chicken could be hotter. The bindi were nice and crunchy. This place doesn't serve alcohol. Ordered a lot and it came to around £26

1st time ordering a takeaway from here and it was delicious got the set meal for 2 and it was great very good portions and food was beautiful.

Just had a great experience at the Saffron Restaurant. If you're a fan of scrumptious curry, homemade food, this is the place you need to visit. All the flavours were perfectly balanced and each dish was cooked to perfection. Whether you prefer a milder or spicier variant, they have a curry for every palate. The homemade touch truly shines through. Definitely recommend to try Aloo Saag, Hathcora curry, Lamb madras - all rich and aromatic. The menu is diverse, offering a wide range of options for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. The portion sizes were generous. To top it all off, the prices were very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you receive.

1st time using Saffron and Probably the best indian I've had for a while.

The order was as requested and delivered by the expected delivery time although this changed after the order was confirmed so longer than expected. The food was pretty cold but in fairness it was delivered in terrible weather (felt really sorry for the delivery driver and forgot to tip) it was easily heated, the meal itself was really good

Food wasn’t great to be honest, really greasy and the chips were dried and reheated. No taste I had to add salt and pepper to both curries. I won’t order again.

Delivery person was very pleasant, food piping hot and very tasty. We will be back at the next special occasion.

My meal was consist of 3 king prawns that was cut in half and the rice a sauce was very blend. I was very disappointed because this dish has never disappointed me. Its one if my favourite from this restaurant. If you pay good money for a great meal, why serve this and spoil your reputation.

I have struggled to find a decent Indian since coming to Inverness but this is is! Wouldn’t order anywhere else.

First time ordering after a very challenging working day. Delivery was quick and food was fresh and hot. Lots to choose from on the menu chose one dish we knew we would like and a new one we hadn't tried the Garlic chicken masala wasn't very keen on this didn't have much flavour very oily but maybe down to a bad choice on my behalf. Pakora, rice and korma very nice one of the nicest weve tried in a long time will definitely be ordering again.

The food was absolutely delicious. Big lumps of chicken and plenty of them. A bit on the oily side, but nothing a bit of kitchen roll couldn't sort out! It's a 5 from these judges!
