Decided to try this chippy as we are on holiday, que was out the door (wed night) and we now know why.. food was absolutely delish, had a fish supper and it was by far the best, fresh, perfectly cooked crispy battered fish I’ve eaten in years.. we are going back tonight for another and will definitely be taking a drive from Fife back up soon. Staff very polite, as were the locals we spoke to whilst waiting. 30 mins wait but it was worth it for the fresh cooked food.

Ordered “deep fried chicken Chinese style “. I expected deep fried chicken with a coating of breadcrumbs or similar with maybe some Chinese spices (that’s how it’s shown when you Google it). What I got was chicken in a non descript sauce with bean sprouts. Not as described and tasteless. Won’t be back

First time trying this Chinese food. Chicken noodle soup was amazing! Everything was so tasty. You won’t be disappointed!!

Good if you want to sit on the toilet to fart the next day

Said it should be open but it wasn't, drive for nothing, tandoori was next for food ( was excellent ) will be back.

Good Chinese takeaway, however sometimes the food can be a hit or a miss depending on how busy it is so consistency of quality does lack sometimes. A couple of annoyances is that it closes far too early compared to almost all other takeaways and when it gets busy the waiting times can be a lot longer than they say it will be.

I had chicken chow mein and spring rolls a few weeks ago, however was not what I expected choi mein is supposed to be dry not covered in sauce and that's what I was given. The weet and sour sauce was not nice either, very watery and off in taste. The only thing that was ok was the spring rolls however expensive for size and portion, came with a small pot of sauce which was ok too. Also charged me for a bag... what I needed to carry my food home?

Absolutely amazing food and great service best chippy chips ever and such fresh food we come here once every couple of months and never ever dissapointed 100/100 guys.

This takeaway makes me angry with every other Chinese takeaway, this is what it should taste like, food from here is delicious

Had an excellent Chinese meal take away which I pre ordered for a certain time and it was ready exactly on time and tasted terrific.

Passing through the lovely village of Auchterarder we stopped of for something to eat after been away 🦦 🐟 all day & came across this Takeaway which had a fantastic menu from traditional Fish & Chip to Chinese food. Me & my partner ordered Fish & Chips, which was a good size portion & tasty and a White Pudding Supper which Was So Delicious 😋 I enjoyed that much I could have ate two, as I've never tasted White Pudding like this which was so yummy 😋. & from the other side for later when we travelled home to Uphall, West Lothian we had Sweet & Sour King Prawn in Batter & Fried Rice. This dish was Beautiful also. So when ever you are passing please Stop & give it a Go. You won't be disappointed & the prices are really good value for what you get, so don't delay, you'll love it . Everything is cooked from fresh & staff are so polite and friendly.

Staff are always friendly, sometimes there’s a long wait, this time it was 15 minutes over the time given, but i wasn’t in a rush so it was ok. The food is fresh and tasty, the quality and execution is there, it’s more of a modern chinese rather than a traditional one. The portion sizes aren’t too big but no food gets wasted, the salt and pepper chicken balls have enough but they’re so tasty you could always eat more. all in all, it’s not a bad chinese, it’s not the greatest in auchterarder but it is probably the best deal and you’ll find something for the whole family to enjoy.

Food cooked to order. Chippy and the Chinese food are always great quality and very tasty. Highly recommend.

Fish was good quality and freshly made but the chips were more like reheats which is the only thing that let them down. I will visit again if only just to see if this was maybe just a one off.

Our go-to take a way venue in Auchterarder. Great Chinese food and a great chippy. Staff are always a standout here going the extra mile time and time again to look after you. A real asset to the town.

Without doubt the best Chinese in Perthshire for a takeaway ! We visit here often but myself & my wife are in agreement it is hands down the best takeaway we’ve had. We get Chinese takeaways from other popular places in perth but the top shop is head & shoulders above the rest. Just finished one there & it’s the only thing that’s sorted out my new year hangover, first time I’ve felt human all day. Keep up the good work !

Always stop here if in auchterarder. A bit dearer than our local but great selection to choose from. Always have a bit of a wait because the food is cooked fresh to order. Hot and tasty and hit the spot tonight. Salt and chilli chips best I have tasted. Portion sized decent as well.

Fresh fish & chips very tasty, reasonable price good portions nice staff. They do'nt take cards but the town has a couple of cash machines within walking distance.

Found leaflet for this takeaway in our Pod,so decided we would give it a try.My wife had a fish cake supper and i had a fish supper (Haddock).The fish was cooked fresh as i waited and was worth the wait.Would recommend.

Very disappointed in the Chinese takeaway. Mainly meat in gravy with little flavour. Rice ok and vegetarian only just acceptable. Probably the worst Chinese we’ve ever had. Won’t be going back in a hurry,

So very poor. Pancake roll was a soggy mess & totally laden with fat & liquid. Crispy seaweed was cooked in stale fat and was just mush. . . . . Need I go on !!!

This is our go to takeaway in Auchterarder - everything we have tried has been absolutely delicious from fish and chips to the Chinese menu (particularly the special foo Yung)! Staff are lovely and very accommodating to my fussy eaters! Five stars well deserved!

We had three dishes with fried rice and noodles. It was all much too salty and almost inedible. The chicken satay was in a dark brown thick sauce that bore no resemblance to any Satay we have had. The Szechuan beef was in a similar gelatinous gloop with too much Soy sauce or msg so that it tasted very unhealthy . Sorry to complain but this meal was truely awful.

Stopped for fish and chips but had Chinese takeaway (and chips). Best chips we had tasted for a very long time and the Chinese food was freshly prepared for us and was delicious. Good portions, very friendly staff and well worth a visit. (We had to make a second trip the next day for more chips, just to be sure!)Very good value for money.

Stopped into here for dinner as weren’t too many places in evening to eat what a great choice I had special fish one & half slices with a massive portion of salt n chilli chips (Best I have tried awesome ) washed down with Diet Irn Bru just sat in there and had a chilled dinner would Defo recommend

We stopped as a family while camping nearby. Such a wide menu from Chinese to chippy food. Perfect for a family with kids who all want different things without trailing different shops. The food was great tasting and hot, fresh cooked when ordered and not too expensive. More than what we pay at home but you expect that there. Will return

Just stopped one night for a curry on way home from work and it was lovely, My wife and myself now use it every second Friday And never been disappointed

Decided to pop in here while staying at glendevon country park, wasn't disappointed. One of the best chip shops I've eaten from, and definitely the best mushy peas!!!

Decided on a takeaway to eat at the pod. Lovely breaded fish and chips with mushy peas. Reasonably priced, good service and very tasty.

We have had various food from here including Chinese and chippy. All dishes have been flavoursome and very fresh. The staff are very friendly and helpful, I would definitely recommend this to anyone. Thank you.

Worst chip shop ever. My Husband bought 2 portions of chips and a Black pudding. The chips were inedible, they looked like chips from 3 days ago and so dry. The Black Pudding was dry and tasteless. Absolutely disgusting what a waste of money.

Pedimos dos pizzas y patatas fritas. Las pizzas se veía bien, pero estamos de hecho tienda comprar bases de pizza extra con coberturas. Las patatas fritas eran totalmente opuesta que no parecía gran cosa, pero sabía bien! The Top Shop used to be one of my favourite places to get a good Chinese dish, but now that they've changed hands, they've gone completely downhill. I'm unimpressed and will not be returning any time soon.

Visiting friends on a recent trip to the area, we decided to order a Chinese. Kung po king prawns to die for, salt and pepper chicken delicious and everything amazing. Nice little touches like newspapers while you wait, chairs to sit on and a bowl...

We ordered a chinese take-away on Saturday. We found it quite expensive compared to what we pay in Aberdeen. The shredded chilli chicken and Singapore noodles were delicious however a couple of the other dishes were just average. It was not the best chinese take-away...

I am so disappointed in this chip shop. I used them a few months ago and was not impressed. I decided to give them another chance to redeem themselves tonight only to be aghast at the state of their fish and chips. They were cold. Could hardly find the fish just over cooked fish batter they obviously scrimped on the fish. Greasy-chips if you could call them chips as it was potato ends. How can they serve this disgusting food. Needless to say I would not return.

My husband ordered a chicken and green bean sauce , it had no taste and was very very bland. I ordered beef chow mein. The beef was very chewy and wasn't good. The noodles was the best part. The chips were disgusting , they were like the days before and was very soggy. Would definitely not be back their.

Ordered shredded chicken with chilli sauce. It was ok I suppose and as a backstop for when the other chinese takeaway is closed it'll do fine. Thought the chilli sauce was a bit bland though the shredded chicken itself was fine; could do with more veg in the dish - onion, carrot, that kinda thing. The last one just had strips of celery which I thought was a bit odd. The portions are a bit smaller compared NHF down the street. They fleece you a bit on the prawn crackers (two quid), why not do a smaller bag for a pound? Adding a starter starts to make things expensive. Take away isn't cheap these days sadly.That said, I wish I'd tried the fish and chips, they looked great, with nice big fresh cut chips.

Haven't been here in years because the food wasn't particularly great.Noticed it was under new owners so gave it another try.I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed it. I had a chinese dish and the meal was freshly cooked, not stodgy or greasy.Chips coming out of the chip shop looked good and prices reasonable.Will give it another go.

The best fish and chip shop in town and in the area, always fresh and serves good wholesome food. The staff are polite and cheery and the food is alway hot to take home or eat on the run.

Needed crew food during the Ryder Cup, ventured into the town and was very glad I did! The staff were friendly, dealt with my £200 order in their stride and gave us plenty of 'freebies' i.e. drinks and prawn crackers too. Highly recommended!
