Jade Garden in Perth & Kinross

Had not been here for a few years as lived in Wales for along time . Just had our 50th anniversary meal here on sat and it was brilliant to be back. Thank you to all staff food was wonderful, just how we remembered ❤️

Had Sweet and Sour Chicken Hong Kong Style Delivery was quick and courteous driver delivered with a smile. Food was hot a looked really nice, large helping, very tasty loved the fact it had plenty of veg & pineapples in it with plenty chicken. Fried rice very good again plenty. Guess what I’m having. For lunch tomorrow 😁

Was there for the lunch - £15.50 per person for 2 courses. Quite cold when we were there .Both of us had spring rolls for starters and they were really nice with a tasty dipping sauce and a small bit of salad. Main courses were chicken chow mein and KK creamy chicken. Both of us thought the chicken was quite weird. Didn’t really taste like chicken - super processed. Who knows. But both of us left the chicken as it just wasn’t nice. Service was ok if a bit hurried. We won’t be back unfortunately.

Probably the worst Chinese food I've ever had. Beef szechuan dish was just a gloopy brown gravy dish and the rice tasted like boil in the bag rice. Delivery folk wandering through the restaurant whilst trying to have a nice evening out didn't add to the atmosphere. It was my first time here and it was so disappointing and I will not be back. The service though, was superb and attentive. Overpriced for the lack of quality

I phoned to order a delivery. The food arrived on time but it was cold. Chips tasted like they had been sitting out for a while. Not good and unfortunately I won't be ordering from here again.

Was excited to come to this restaurant, as I was told it was outstanding. I felt we did not get the same attention or level of detail from staff, as other patrons did. My starter was drowning in sauce and my main was bland and undercooked. Tgr best part of the night was the drama from another table Very disappointing and we didn't even get given chop sticks or a fortune cookie, like the rest of the dinning room. Seriously over priced, bland food and poor service.

I deeply yearned for a great Chinese restaurant here in Scotland, and I found it here. There is an upscale elegance and thoughtfulness to the atmosphere and the presentation, but the prices are quite reasonable. I particularly recommend the soups, which have this flavorful hardiness to them that reminds me of much of the food I ate in Hong Kong. Above all, one gets the sense that the staff and management genuinely care about this restaurant, that they want to make it a sophisticated and serene place, that they are deeply committed to every element of the dining experience.

Lunch menu wide with generous portions. The older lady who served us was brilliant. Helpful, tolerant and very kind. The younger woman was somewhat sullen. No smiles at All! This did not spoil our family farewell. As ever, a great place.

Food was okay a bit mediocre compared to other visits

Excellent Friday night Chinese. Excellent service - very impressed by the serving staff and great standard Chinese food.

Give this one a miss. Food generally below average as it was brightly coloured and overcooked. Half a duck to start which came out of the kitchen finely shredded so not sure what we really got for that £30. Mains were chicken kungpo which was tough as old boots, prawn Szechuan which had gravy the colour you’d expect in a steak pie and prawn red curry which was the same colour as a strawberry milkshake with far to many big lumps of raw onion. Service was functional. As an occasional visitor to Perth I certainly won’t be wasting my time and money on this place again.

I don't think I've ever seen a more beautiful dining room in a Chinese restaurant. The service was excellent and the food was top notch...the hot and sour soup, the fried mushroom app, and the spicy red bean beef were all outstanding.

Can't fault the food or service.

We ordered a take away which was ready on time. Unfortunately the Duck dish that i chose was all fatty and grizzle and very little edible meat. What a dissappointment. This happend the last time too. Sadly wont be using Jade Garden again. Really quite expensive too for what you get.

Tasty food, but not from lunch menu. Big difference and disappointed from it. They should keep equal standard in the lunch and dinner menu. Still my favourite. A bit expensive. Can create and offer more and buffet both lunch and dinner. Closed by 3 pm. i Is good to extend the closing time.

Always conflicted when I see 5 star reviews next to 1 star reviews, but believe me when I say that this is a 1 star restaurant. Terrible food at outlandish prices. Do not go.

This is an honest review. I cannot believe those reviews with 5 stars. I left the restaurant at the same time as another couple, so I asked them why they left half their meal. They were not happy saying it was terrible, as was mine. Sweet and sour Pork was a lump of pork that had been roasted then cooled, cut into cubes, cooked again then thrown through a sauce that was dominated by ketchup. Not balanced with pineapple juice, vinegar, sugar and water in correct ratio. Red capsicum not green, carrot and onion should be fried with garlic, not raw. Soy or Worcestershire sauce and ginger added for extra dimension. Pork shoulder should be cut fresh, coated in batter and deep fried. Not hard chef!! and considering the restaurant was nearly empty, plenty time to achieve this. Also should not have to ask for a slice of lime in my water , which was given to the table next to me. For nearly £18 this was a regrettable experience. I will not be back. Do not go!!!

Overpriced and tasteless take away ever. Tom Yum soup had no flavour. It requires lemon grass, lime and some sweetness. Nothing! King prawn chow mein for nearly £14 butno flavours, taste at all. The only good thing were prawn crackers. But I believe you can’t get them wrong.

Overall a worst experience!!! Smells awful , worst customer service, on top of this the food have no taste what so ever with a rip off price !!!!!! I wouldn’t recommend anyone !!!!

We enjoyed a lovely meal here - tasty food & plenty of it. The decor is a bit dated but clean and well kept. Staff were friendly & helpful.

Absolutely love the Jade Garden. The food is tremendous, the staff are welcoming and speak enthusiastically about what food they recommend and you will leave the Jade Garden questioning how you kept eating when you didn't have any space left. Each time I've eaten there I've tried something new thats been recommended by the staff and without fail they manage to put something in front of me that makes me shower them with praise and add it to my new favourites. Go to Perth. Go to the Jade Garden.

Good service from the two girls who served, chicken noodle soup was quite good, but honestly, the worst chicken curry and chicken chow mein we have ever had. The so-called fried rice was just boiled rice with some egg wash, no soy sauce or spring onion and absolutely bone dry. The curry and meat were stale, and the chow mein was soaked in a slimy sauce and the chicken was grey and dry. We ate at most, 40-50% and couldn't stomach any more. Really needs the place and especially the menu brought up to modern standards.

Staff lovely but PLEASE DO NOT! Order a dessert we got one sticky toffee pudding very small and small scoop ice cream plus a baileys ice cream we were £18 !!!! Far far too expensive won’t be back .

Barbecue ribs were full of meat but sauce was not sticky. Duck and Plum sauce. No taste of Plum in sauce. Banana fritters were either overcooked or Bananas were soft before going into batter. Others in party had similar experiences. Will go elsewhere in future.

Firstly let me say the food is excellent. Our experience was spoiled by the cold room temperature, staff rushing our dining experience, very quiet night so little atmosphere- also not a moan -but it is pricey. All in all not rushing back.

What an amazing restaurant. Recently went there with my work for our Christmas night out and had the best meal and me we’ve had on a night out. Amazing staff, especially the owner and her son Hamish. Food served to perfection! Super friendly and they were chatting away to everyone in the restaurant. We will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone.

The worst chinese meal ever for us. Overpriced to start with. My husbands duck appeared to be mainly fat. As for Kung po, meat with a few slices of carrot and water chestnuts in a thick redish pink sauce.....not what we have ever experienced as that dish. Should be stir fried with a selection of veg and some peanuts or cashew nuts in a slightly spicy sauce. When we finished our main, they took our dishes and the bill appeared on our table within 30 seconds despite having drinks to finish. Place is dated and carpet filthy. Avoid if you like Chinese food.

Lovely meal served quickly and very hot, a very clean warm restaurant, with attentive staff, mmmm maybe to attentive, two staff members stood watching the dinners, every time I looked up I was being watched found this quite unnerving and very uncomfortable felt rushed, after our plates were taken away we sat enjoying our drinks, but were asked three times if we were finished, restaurant not busy, not a relaxing experience, which was a shame as meal was great.

The place is great, can cater to large groups. Everyone working there was absolutely lovely. Hamish was particularly funny.

I was staying in creiff and accidentally ordered from jade palace as it came up as 'local' on a app. Despite having made my food they very kindly refunded me. I was so touched, I didn't even ask for a refund. Sad not to try the vegan menu, maybe one day...

Had a fantastic meal at the Jade Garden in Perth last night. I had the Chicken Char Sui Fried rice and it was the tastiest meal I have had in a while. Service was also excellent and the Jade Garden is just a nice place...

Myself and my friend shared bbq Chinese style chicken, and shredded chilli chicken with salt and pepper chips and noodles. Food was lovely!! And plenty of it, will definitely be back. A bit on the pricey side, but worth it.

Really good authentic tasty Chinese food i had a sweet and sour chicken with noodles and pineapple fritters for desert that came to the lunch deal of 13.95 which is very reasonable bur where i found it expensive was the fact for a pint of diet coke is £4.20 which is equal to the price of a pint if alcohol in most pubs in perth. Me having 3 thinking they would be 2 pound each max like in a pub got a shock when my bill came to 26 pounds got a shock but this was because of the 3 cokes being £4.20 each. Regardless of this i will be back as food is delicious but recommend you maybe put price of a pint of draft coke down as it cost no where near that per pint to produce.

Fantastic restaurant must be the best for food and service in perth.

Had gone on here off the back of other reviews.. Turned up for a bite to eat when it was coming to the end of a busy dinner time, was there for almost an hour and had chicken curry. The sauce was nice because, unlike most takeaway places you go to these days, there was no use of that curry sauce you buy in blocks from Farmfoods lol 😆 top notch cooking by people who know their stuff 👌 Tells you a lot about a place if it is constantly busy, such is its reputation!

Such a good place. Our first visit to Perth from England. Amazing service from the owner. So kind and friendly with my two boys who thoroughly enjoyed their ice-cream after a 5 hour journey. Thank you for your great hospitality ☺️

Another lovely meal at this family restaurant. Amazing prawn toast and ribs to start. Tasty chilli beef, prawn rice and chicken and broccoli. Very friendly and great atmosphere. Many thanks again from our 3 generations!

We ordered a takeaway from here last night - it'll be the first and last. £15.00 for 1/4 of inedible shredded duck that was clearly old and reheated. The whole order was about £37.00, and the other food wasn't even average, a complete and utter waste of money. I don't like giving negative reviews, but this morning I'm actually angered and insulted that anyone would send such poor quality food when charging good money for it. It's just wrong! So before you try and suggest that we should have just contacted you to complain, think of this: you shouldn't have sent the food out like that in the first place! Perth in general is seriously lacking good takeaways that deliver, sadly this is another to add to that list!
