The best restaurants in Highland Perth & Kinross Central Scotland

My wife and I visited Donna’s Harbour Cafe, Shore Road, Perth for the first time on Wednesday the 30th of October 2024. We were greeted by the very friendly Donna (the owner) and we all enjoyed a bit of banter. There was so much choice of food that it was hard to decide what to order, but I chose a Frankfurter in a Bun with plenty of Fried Onions and my wife had the awesome homemade Macaroni and Cheese with a generous portion of chips. Our meals were well cooked and very tasty for a reasonable price and served with a lovely smile. This Cafe is very clean and the tables are nicely set out. The Harbour Cafe has a great atmosphere to dine in because it’s relaxed and informal with free parking available. My wife and I would highly recommend Donna’s Harbour Cafe. Good food, relaxing surroundings, attentive staff .Would definitely come her again if we were visiting the area. The whole vibe was customer friendly and focussed.

We had a fantastic experience renting bikes here! The service was friendly and straightforward, with excellent tour recommendations tailored to our plans and fitness levels. We rented two e-mountain bikes for £90 a day and enjoyed a wonderful tour from Pitlochry to Blair Castle and the surrounding areas. Helmets and a bike lock were included, and the return process was just as easy. We would definitely rent bikes from here again in the future!

Best fish and chips we’ve had. It’s a family run joint, staff is super friendly and accommodates any dietary requirements. Would definitely visit again!

Beautiful hotel. All staff are so approachable and passionate about their work. Everything that left the kitchen was amazing, I had x2 6 course evening meals and x3 breakfasts (breakfast included in my stay) Thank you for making my birthday so special.

We had one of our best meals of the trip at Sandemans. All of the dishes were delicious, but the whole experience was even better because the sommelier was so knowledgable and took our meal to a whole other level.

Beautiful Buckie fish hanging over the plate. Others had steak pie, lovely hand cut chips. Attentive and friendly staff. Would recommend.

Fun 18 hole putting green, lots of fun for all levels. Holes vary in style, well maintained and only a fiver.

Really nice set up. Comfy beds. Powerful showers. Big lounge, dinner and outside area to relax in. Useful kitchen. Has everything thing you need. Enjoyed my stay here in April.

We loved dining at Fern Cottage. The plates were well presented, everything was good, the service perfect.

Didn't really stay long enough to comment as just had a coffee. However I've known this theatre all my adult life as this where many actors wanted to work. I've seen shows there and live that this area has this facility and it should be supported. Lot of refurbishment going on which will only enhance a theatre power house and piece of history. In no way whatsoever did we visit hoping to bump into Alan Cumming....honest!

The Habitat Cafe,always a favourite and wonderful place to visit. Great food and service from Mike and his team. However, sadly it is no longer there. 😕 I am delighted to say that it has changed genre, to a Swedish style Cafe, called Finka. Interesting food, well presented and served. Give it a try We had superb home made soup, to follow I had Swedish Meatballs with a tasty Beetroot and Apple Salad, on Ryebread. The coffee was lovely too. Thank You !

Beautiful natureThe gentle breeze rustled through the leaves, creating a soothing melody. Sunlight dappled the forest floor, painting shifting patterns of light and shadow. A nearby stream gurgled softly, adding to the tranquil atmosphere. Wildflowers bloomed in vibrant hues, attracting buzzing pollinators. The air was fresh and clean, carrying the scent of pine and damp earth.
