Ailean Chraggan in Perth & Kinross

Absolutely fantastic, plus they accept dogs!! ;)) A magnificent and substantial platter of fresh seafood of the day with some cooked inside, a real delight!! We'll keep the address and will definitely return and recommend this place to those around us!

Just returned from an Easter break in Scotland and an overnight stay here. We had not booked in advance but thankfully the Ailean Chraggan had availability. We had a delicious evening meal, a beautiful room, a well stocked bathroom and plentiful tea, coffee and water in our room. Do not miss breakfast, it was freshly prepared, very filling, and so tasty. Loved our one night stay, wish it could have been longer and if we are lucky enough to travel to this beautiful part of the world again, we would definitely stay. Cannot recommend this enough. Just had a fabulous 2-day stay while stalking nearby in Glen Lyon with family & friends ! Exellent rooms , a very cosy bar & and restaurant with a big welcoming woodburner 🔥 the food & service were a solid 10/10 👌 I highly recommend

Always one of our favourite places for food in Aberfeldy. Food gets better every time

Honestly this hotel exceeded our expectations. We travelled as a family of 4 (including the dog) and from the photos we expected quite a small place, but it was surprisingly large! We arrived at night time to a beautifully lit hotel in the middle of autumnal foliage of the trees, with a well lot/decorated terrace wrapping around the hotel. We found the service to be incredibly friendly and helpful, and the food well exceeded our expectations. Everything was homemade, and the creme brulee was next level. Hotel was cosy, and the room - although older in style - was comfortable and cosy with everything you need. If coming here for a fishing trip, I'd phone ahead of schedule to organise fishing tickets, as I left it too late and the last of the tickets for the local beat were gone.

We arrived at this beautiful location after a long walk. A drink, a dinner, a bed and breakfast (and another day). All equally fantastic <3 Hospitality was invented here and developed down to the last detail. We felt very welcome and look back on a perfect stay :D

We had an evening meal here but it was disappointing. Food a tad salty, shiraz poor and tho staff were pleasant and helpful, restaurant quite empty and we now know why. We ate here a few years ago and it was good but tonight so disappointing 😞

Went there for the bar/pub but the counter is so small that it's easily covered up by people entirely making difficult to reach it to order something

The restaurant is pretty good. Didn't stay here. The owner gave us a lift back into town after dinner.

Had a lovely midweek meal. Went back for Sunday lunch which was excellent and really good value for money.

Very nice hotel with great service, good food and great location…

We spotted this hidden gem’s terrace as we drove past. We thought we would try dinner and the fact they were dog friendly was a huge bonus. The service and food were fabulous and very reasonable. We enjoyed our dinner so much we went back the next day for their Sunday Lunch carvery. This was one of the best carvery dinners we have ever had. Being able to sit on the terrace was great. Would highly recommend.

Very nice place. The owner is very nice! We only stayed one night. Breakfast was delicious !! Room is convenient, even if the mattresses are a little bit hard, with springs, it’s quiet, and very peaceful. The bathroom has been recently refurbished. We had a great stay, thanks for everything !

Went for Sunday lunch, excellent.

Had a table for 13, was told 8 maximum as they only had one chef and one waitress working on the day, but was still welcomed, just told we’d have to wait for our food. Service was next to none, food was amazing, very little wait time and all served within minutes of each other. Absolutely brilliant, would recommend!

What a fabulous, friendly family hotel. Two Of us plus the dog decided to break our journey home here. Not stayed before but knew about it from previous trips to the area. Easy check in, super polite team, and a lovely, clean family room with a brand new bathroom We ate in the restaurant- well presented gravadlax starter, with beef bourginion for main, imaginative dessert , a nice bottle of chablis and whiskies after. Slept well, great breakfast and a chat with the friendly owners. Highly recommended, we would definitely come back Thank you!

Lovely hotel, lovely staff, couldn’t have had a better time! Thank you to Javen, Lindsay, Alison & Sophie for all being so wonderful & making my weekend away so special. Aberfeldians are a good bunch, felt like a home from home. I hope to be back !
