The best restaurants in Carse of Gowrie Perth & Kinross Central Scotland

Have been to Lass o Gowrie a few times now and it’s always such a lovely, welcoming atmosphere with delicious food. We came for breakfast with Santa on Christmas Eve and it was such a lovely and magical experience! We were welcomed by a wonderful elf who knew my wee boy’s name and had him giggling a lot throughout the morning! There were so many lovely touches such as a wee gift waiting at our table and a personalised colouring sheet. A lot of effort clearly went into making this a magical experience for all involved and it really paid off! Can’t wait to go back!

Lovely coffee shop. We were seated in a hut and it was very cosy. Great food & friendly staff.

I was recommended to come and check out the antiques and the lovely food in the cafeteria, the staff were very welcoming and attentive.

Having been several times before..with these friends and others we were looking forward to a birthday lunch...we'd phoned ahead all good. I got there early to walk the dogs in the lovely grounds...they were abseiling off the bridge abd I blethered to one of the safety guys after I'd parked in usual position..it was fine he said..so off I began to walk...and out comes irate waiter from cafe....you move car...it in way....I said I'd asked...you move car...in way.....so I did...safety guy said it was fine. Two of our company went in and no 5 folk couldn't sit together..we have before...and they were shutting at 1.30...it was 12 just now....he was very unfriendly and they came away...and we relocated up to Glendoick. When I came past at 2.30...cafe open sign at end of road?!

Sooo sad that this wee gem of a cafe has closed.We always went inpast on our way down to the awards in Glasgow and our trips down south. Always such a delight to visit. You will be sorely missed for your wonderful soups, sandwiches and lovely home baking. All the very best to you all for the future in whatever you choose to do.

My 74 year old mum crashed her car today outside the cafe. While she was waiting for the recovery truck she went into the cafe as she was cold and it was going dark. She was shaken up and really cold and was told you were closing up. She told the waitress she had crashed her car and asked if she could just warm up in there while they closed up for a few minutes. The waitress said she would ask her boss but came back and said no - sending my mum back out into the cold on her own. The decent thing to do would have been to ask if she’s ok, offer her a cup of tea and show a little bit of compassion. Really really poor show. It really would have taken very little effort and she wasn’t asking for much. I’m absolutely disgusted by you.

we were regulars here and brought a friend on Friday My.husband ordered nd.by.midtske omitted yp ask.for.my.toast yo be.left.inbutterrd as eating butter hospitalised.me Naturally it came buttered and I.asked politely for a dry.l.pirce which arrived few moments later tjhe waitress a bout.q7 arrived to order properly.in.future and I was mortified by.her lecture at age 80. Will not banging again

A fantastic brunch today. I had been given an itison voucher for my birthday for 2 brunch dishes and either 2 hot drinks or non alcoholic wine. We opted for an Americano and a tea, fantastic big cups, and an apple juice for my son. Ordered the Gourie Goucho and the travelling Scotsman for eating and my son insisted on Mac cheese which the kitchen were very accommodating with, even at 10am! All food was delicious and you can tell the quality in the ingredients as well as the banter. A fantastic place, where you you wait for quality fresh food. Brilliant, quirky spot.

Cracking service, excellent quality. It’s my second order from them, 100% satisfaction so far.

Myself and my partner went there. The food was lovely and the staff where friendly and helpful.

Been open since 1960 and has the authentic look feel and taste of that era! Worth a visit!
