Excellent choice, I found this by chance when looking for somewhere to have lunch. We had the meze of soup a bowl of soup and two toasties, the soups were really tasty although one was not really to my taste but nevertheless it was nice, the toasties were delicious, nice size and good fillings. Would definitely recommend

The food, the service, the choice, the atmosphere.... you can't beat it here!! The exciting specials, the friendly faces and the brilliant cakes just make it a total gem of Tayside. What a gorgeously creative, imaginative venue. I loved how vegans, vegetarians and meat/fish eaters were catered for equally creatively. The venue itself is vibrant and spotless with all sorts of interesting books and merchandise available for those who love supporting the local community. My food - a wrap and soup was the most imaginatively constructed lunch I've had; so thoughtfully flavoured, and the aesthetics around presentation were absolutely beautiful. The pomegranate seeds in the salad are like beautiful jewels to reflect how much of a treat a meal here at the Lass o'Gowrie actually is! The cakes looked like they were to die for but I was conquered and had no room left to try any (a rarity for me, I can tell you!). The service was brilliant and we had a lovely long chat with Bob about the 1980s nostalgia of their beautiful kilncraft cups for serving hot drinks. Brilliant and we will be back - thanks again for such a memorable and special experience.

Absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Delicious food lovely location. Great atmosphere and very attentive staff. We had allergy sufferer and also vegetarian in our party and they were very well catered for. We were a large party of 5 but food courses were perfectly timed and cooked to each person’s specification. Firm favourite with us.

We dropped in later on a Sunday afternoon, and the team could not have been more hospitable , keeping the kitchen open willingly and completely Coeliac / Gluten Free aware giving great confidence in a safe meal ahead to come , for any other Coeliacs reading this please try . The decor, vibe and ambience were fabulous. They are dog friendly and have fresh baked cakes that looked gorgeous and of which half were GF , and we took away slices of kiwi raspberry cheesecake. Cannot recommend more .

Our family of 6 adults shared a wonderful lunch yesterday in celebration of Easter. The welcome and attentiveness of staff was warm and professional and the restaurant had great friendly atmosphere with attention to detail, notably in the hygiene and cleanliness of the restaurant. We had the Meze soup starter, three decent sample bowls, any of whose soups were delicious, leaving the diner with the pleasurable task of choosing the order to tackle them. The toasties we chose were varied, but had a common theme of delicious taste, and great presentation with a unique fresh salad. Deserts again were varied, a fantastic choice of attractive home baked delights, backed up with coffee. We left the restaurant with great sense of satisfaction and enjoyment. The staff work really hard to provide a fantastic experience, with a note to eco friendliness, and we will certainly be pleased to return.

Cosy spot in Errol. A wide range of cakes and bars, also with gluten/diary free options. Different options for an English breakfast, also vegan/vega/glutenfree options, vega haggis. We really enjoyed this spot!

Lovely spot in a bonny wee village near to Perth. Busy on arrival, thankfully had booked a table and it was the only one free at the time. Soup and sandwich menu with monthly specials on offer. Friendly service, not rushed, good food, comfortable environment. Well worth a visit, even worth the two hour drive.

This was our first visit to the Lass O'Gowrie and without doubt we will be back soon. The welcome we received from Bob and Claire was very welcoming. The choice of breakfast was exceptional and was a great price compared to similar sized cafes. The decor is very modest and shows off this very old building in its splendour. Definitely will be back and would encourage others to book and visit.

Relaxed, dog friendly and lovely grub! Also perfectly situated for a refuel on Sustrans Route 77 if you're on your bike. Have a coffee and cake or a full lunch, everything is delicious.

Visited one evening prior to football at the Etihad Stadium. Very comfortable interior and pleasant staff. Not over crowded and easy to find a table, nice food and reasonably priced. Would certainly return.

Where do I start! Tucked away in a converted unassuming village hall, in the sweet village of Errol. Warmly welcomed by a gentlemen on arrival. It was fairly busy even at 11:45 on a week day. Seated and within minutes water and glasses arrived. Spoilt for choice as everything on the menu sounded amazing. We chose soup and a toasted sandwich which came with a wonderful side salad, which I can’t often say. Everything was extremely tasty and wished we had room for one of the amazing cakes, maybe on our next visit. Definitely a true gem.

A quick google search led us to this cafe in Errol. You are met by a feast for the eyes by way of single portion treats, lots of choice vegan, GF, something for everyone . In additional to a choice of 4 beautifully decorated sharing cakes. The menu offer soups, wraps, toasties and salads, all delicious sounding so choosing is difficult. They have thought of that and you can have a trio of soups- all delicious!! Everything we had was delicious. They were busy so you have to be patient, everyone served in order. It is clear they really care about their customers and no wi der it was busy. My only other observations would be it was disappointing to see the staff eating, and dunking their bread in the soup in the middle of the working kitchen, especially when there is a table at the back of the cafe laden with staff clothes, computer etc. it would be nice for them to grab 5 minutes off their feet. They have lovely gifts and parking isn't for the faint hearted.

First visit to The Lass of Gowrie with my bestie and yorkie-cross dog (Harley) but won't be the last. Enjoyed a tasty breakfast toast with veggie sausages, tattie scone & Chi tea.
