Fries taste like nothing, like they've been sitting there for hours. You can't cut steak pie because it's so hard. Also, they don't offer beer. No recommendation!!!!

Ordered 3 fish suppers and a sausage supper. Fish batter was lovely. Chips were ok - quite a lot of chip scraps. Fish was slimy and grey. Quite disappointed.

This was a great find. Did exactly what it advertised. Wide choice of meals, spotlessly clean restaurant area. Friendly staff, quick service. A lot of attention to detail. Would recommend.

We popped tonight to pick up some food on our way back from edinburgh. Nothing was ready in the hot display which meant our food was cooked to order, I was happy with that …….. so disappointed with our food when we arrived home a few mins later , the chips are rock hard and no sign of any potato ever existed within them. The fish was fine other than being drenched in salt !!! Straight in the bin … shame on you serving food like this which you obviously know you’re doing …….

Came here as the chip shop I usually go to was closed today. Usually pay £8.50 for a fish supper but this place charges £12.50! On top of that the portion of chips was half the size. The staff looked thoroughly miserable and were in no hurry so had to stand and wait for ages. Will not be back!

We made take away so we stayed infront of the kitchen while they where preparing. Never tasted worst chips and mac&cheese (we had to trow all of it). The fish was okay…nothing spectacular. The kitchen personal was cooking without gloves and washing their hands with dirty napkins. Not recommended!

Food was trash tbh but OMG the service was amazing by Sandy! He was so kind and helpful and professional. He was always smiling and really seemed like he loves his job and he really wants to be there awesome passion for his job!

Where do I start? I have never left a review for a chip shop. The second time in 10 days as there tonight. Last time the food was very average but what got me was one member of staff, he did not want to be there and I he did, that’s more worrying. Tonight, I had gone in and there he is, I asked what is that, white pudding he said, it did look like a black pudding so asked again and with a dark stare, it’s white pudding. Got it big fella. Single black, I mean white pudding that was drier than Ghandis flip flop! Sorry but not a great experience. Bring back Holdgates. ✌️✌️

Unfortunately, fish & chips have been eaten better too often. The fish and mushy peas were just bland, but the soggy, floury, white fries were inedible. At least there was a slice of untoasted bread instead. The worn furniture or the fact that only foreign tourists were eating here at the same time should have warned us enough.

I nervously played with the crimson ketchup bottle, my hands lightly shaking. My eyes trailed up and met beautiful blue orbs, my cheeks flushed. "Hey bbg." Long story short, me and my boyfriend shared a meal. Good scran.

Friendly welcome, clean & quirky decor with tasty food & good prices. Great menu choices also. Kids fish goujons & chips with drink included Nuggets & chips & drink Adults fish deal with 2 fish, mushy peas, drink & bread & butter & another but just one fish with curry sauce & a drink really tasty. Only complaint the plates weren’t big enough ha ha. Didn’t get a photo as was so hungry but food is presented well also. Condiments on the table so just help yourself. Would go back if was ever was in the area. Warm goodbye from staff also.

absolutely rotten. spent £32 on a fish supper with 2 bits of fish so soggy they were completely stuck together. had 3 bites of the fish and found 2 bones so it went in the bin the chips were floppy and soggy ate some of them to get rid of the hunger. my friend had 4 bites of her soggy Kingrib then binned. there was not a single crispy bit of batter on any item. mozzarella sticks we ate one and realised they were horrible too. my teenager liked the chips and curry

Unfortunately the chips were very average for what we paid, we also sat in which added to the expense. I think you get a lot more chips wrapped and taken away. The fish was a tiny piece in a huge amount of batter, tasteless really. Service was very good friendly waiter.

Stopped by for fish and chips after a show at the Concert Hall in Perth. Chips were pleasant and sausage was cooked fresh. Sadly run out of curry sauce. Was offered student discount which was great. Would buy again.

Great service. We were served by a guy ( I think called Sandy) and he always had a smile on his face and was very polite. The quality of food was really good. Was too quiet to judge the atmosphere but I'd gladly come here again.

Been in a couple of times with my friend and her mum. Must say the food is really good, very crisp batter on fish, white pudding was moist not dry. Scampi was very tasty. Macaroni was delicious. Plates were full. Chips taste really good. Service was friendly. We will definitely be back .

We ordered the Haggis & chips,Haggis was a battered pudding,it tasted very bland (not spicy),more like a white pudding,portion size of dish was good & it was pipping hot,if we go again we won't order the Haggis !

We chose special fish (breaded haddock) and that was very delicious. Portion was massive we could hardly finish it. Manager and staff were very helpful and welcoming.

We popped in here for dinner whilst out on the motorbikes. The food was quite basic tasting and over priced to dine in . 1 deep fried mars bar was £4.50 . You can buy a pack of 4 for £1.50

I don't know if this place has changed hands and is new owner under same name or what but it has gone down hill rapidly. Very high prices and small portion sizes. Not surprised place is like a ghost town. Expect to pay nearly £13 for battered fish supper with 2 small pieces of fish and staff that clearly do not enjoy their job. Chips are under fried, pale looking and not very tasty and very, very greasy. The grease actually penetrated the wrapping paper and soaked my wife's leg in the car on the way home. Avoid this place. You can get much better and much cheaper fish supper pretty much everywhere else in Perth. I won't be back.

this is usually a great place for those with kids to come eat however i had a child who didn’t want to eat as they have eaten already, they then told us we weren’t aloud to eat in if we all didn’t eat, we also weren’t aloud to share a portion of chips which is usual for restaurants. the waiter also approached us in a rudely manner.

I ordered a 2 fish supper for £13.50 which in my opinion is very expensive but I thought it will be delicious and I was starving. I was extremely disappointed with the quality I received. On initial opening of the box I see the fish is breaded not battered, but big in size. As I lift the fish I notice it is a very thin fish and the chips look undercooked, unfortunately this was confirmed when I took a bite into the chips. I also found the fish thin and dry

Not worth the money, paid for yesterdays stale fish, gave us stomache ache and worse. Arrived fast, but can't really complement them for that if it's cause they can't be bothered to cook fresh to order.

food was stone cold when it arrived. According to the app it left the shop at 9am and it arrived at 9.40. i live 2 minutes away by car. Not impressed at all. Luckily just eat have provided a partial refund but, will not be back.

I am in disbelief that I just paid £9.20 for a small piece of fish! I ordered online and only realised once my order was being bagged that I had mistakenly assumed it included chips, which meant a single piece of gluten free fish was £9.20!!! The guy working there sighed loudly when I asked for chips and explained it would take another 15 minutes. At that stage I just told him not to bother and left. Fish tasted fine but sadly, I won't be back.

Had a lovely special fish tea at the Blue Lagoon on sat evening 6/4/24. The food was excellent, as was the customer service by Natalie, our waitress. We would highly recommend a visit 😀 Well done to all the staff for a great experience 👏 ❤️

The place looks lovely from outside but the food was very disappointing - it’s the worst fish and chips that I’ve ever had. The server was fine but unfortunately the food did not live up to expectations. I would not recommend the restaurant at all. Highly disappointed. Don’t waste your money - the fish and chips in local pubs are much nicer.

stopped off here on way to the playhouse for fish and chips. takeaway side was v busy but the restaurant was quiet ( was a Thursday early evening). We were shown to a booth and after studying the menu decided on the fish tea. i had the battered fish and the fish in breadcrumbs, with chips and buttered bread and a drink. Halfway through my meal i noticed they hadn't gave me any bread, but the manager offered me it to take away when i was settling up lol. I just said give me 2 slices next visit ! Meal was fairly priced and of very good quality and will certainly return. Our booth seat was torn and was a noticeable letdown to the otherwise spotless interior , so really needs replaced. Recommended !

My son found what looked like a staple sticking out of his white pudding & he couldn't eat it as we had no idea where the other part seemed to be missing so maybe somewhere in any of our meals, so none of us finished our food. Luckily we were given our money back from Just Eat, but how on earth does a staple get in a white pudding & I dread to think what could have happened to his stomach if he hadn't seen it. Won't be ordering from Blue Lagoon ever again.

We had just been served our tea when 2 teenage girls sat across from us. The continued to laugh and giggle very loudly while talking to people on their phones. I asked them to lower the tone of noise but they just carried on. Food was served to them but they did not eat anything and continued their diatrab on the phone. The waiter had a word with them but this did not help. I left before i finished my tea as i was extremely angry. I informed the lady at the tillbwhat was happening but got no response from her.You have just lost a couole of good customers who came to your restaurant with groups of people from work.

Delivery was quick. Chicken goujons meal was really good and friend enjoyed. The chips cheese and gravy had hardly any gravy, was like a teaspoon had been drizzled over top with a sprinkle of cheese. disappointing 😞

Really nice food fresh made and not like other shops been sitting for hours. Staff were really nice and didn't wait about for ages even though it was really busy. Not to expensive either. Will definitely be back next time I'm in Perth

Delivery was extremely slow, they kept pushing it back further and further. We called for an update to get told sorry they are really busy and it was on its way - we called almost an hour and a half after we ordered. Arrived about 15 mins later. Food was okay but not very hot. We wouldn’t order again. Shame because the restaurant was always very good so we had arranged this for a birthday dinner.

First time visiting a Blue Lagoon Chip Shop and was so disappointed. I had a haggis supper which was very bland, hardly any taste to it at all. My mother in law ordered a fish tea and didn’t receive bread with it. She couldn’t drink her coffee as it tasted disgusting. Plus points: The staff serving us were friendly and polite.
