Had a lovely special fish tea at the Blue Lagoon on sat evening 6/4/24. The food was excellent, as was the customer service by Natalie, our waitress. We would highly recommend a visit 😀 Well done to all the staff for a great experience 👏 ❤️

The place looks lovely from outside but the food was very disappointing - it’s the worst fish and chips that I’ve ever had. The server was fine but unfortunately the food did not live up to expectations. I would not recommend the restaurant at all. Highly disappointed. Don’t waste your money - the fish and chips in local pubs are much nicer.

stopped off here on way to the playhouse for fish and chips. takeaway side was v busy but the restaurant was quiet ( was a Thursday early evening). We were shown to a booth and after studying the menu decided on the fish tea. i had the battered fish and the fish in breadcrumbs, with chips and buttered bread and a drink. Halfway through my meal i noticed they hadn't gave me any bread, but the manager offered me it to take away when i was settling up lol. I just said give me 2 slices next visit ! Meal was fairly priced and of very good quality and will certainly return. Our booth seat was torn and was a noticeable letdown to the otherwise spotless interior , so really needs replaced. Recommended !

We had just been served our tea when 2 teenage girls sat across from us. The continued to laugh and giggle very loudly while talking to people on their phones. I asked them to lower the tone of noise but they just carried on. Food was served to them but they did not eat anything and continued their diatrab on the phone. The waiter had a word with them but this did not help. I left before i finished my tea as i was extremely angry. I informed the lady at the tillbwhat was happening but got no response from her.You have just lost a couole of good customers who came to your restaurant with groups of people from work.

Really nice food fresh made and not like other shops been sitting for hours. Staff were really nice and didn't wait about for ages even though it was really busy. Not to expensive either. Will definitely be back next time I'm in Perth

First time visiting a Blue Lagoon Chip Shop and was so disappointed. I had a haggis supper which was very bland, hardly any taste to it at all. My mother in law ordered a fish tea and didn’t receive bread with it. She couldn’t drink her coffee as it tasted disgusting. Plus points: The staff serving us were friendly and polite.

We love this place, great atmosphere, food is amazing, the kids rate it their #1 and made sure the staff knew that today 😅. Great portions and value for money, we'll be back. Staff are lovely too.

The food was ok, deep-fried chicken was overcooked, and the takeaway smelt of burnt paper

We were here before in November and thoroughly enjoyed the food, and were impressed with the generous portions. We therefore revisited and while we enjoyed the same wonderful food, the portions were quite literally child sized and we all left still hungry and pretty disappointed. We did mention to the staff the portions seemed very small and were told it depended who was in that evening as to how big the portions are. Sadly, whilst the food was good, the atmosphere nice and the staff very nice, the child sized portions represented poor value for money and it is never nice to leave a restaurant still hungry. Because of that we will not be back and whilst before we raved about our experience that’s no longer the case. Such a pity.

Spacious and clean. Excellent staff, food was hot and plenty of it. The toilets were clean and it’s disabled friendly, I’ll be back.

Had a home delivery tonight. I have ordered many times from here and usually found it to be ok however i had a fish supper which i normally dont order because i dont eat meat except fish on a handful of times a year. It arrived and it was nice and hot, bit into a part of the fish and turned it around to find a fly battered on to it. Feel so sick from eating the one bite. Didnt even touch the rest. Photo proof has been added, if you look at it's legs its been battered on.

Not a great visit at all. Immediately on entering hit by smell of old/stale cooking oil hanging in the air throughout the place - Clung to clothes very offputing! - Decor fine and comfortable enough to sit in. Ordered 2 eggs and chips (about a dozen in all that were dry and not fresh - looked like yesterdays warmed up) served on a plate not much bigger than size of side plate. Other meal was a single small fish, with mushie peas. More batter than fish and also very greasy, bread ie 1 slice of pan with 1 small piece of butter, and two mugs of tea both no milk no sugar. Princely sum of £26. Cost to me personally immaterial but price OTT not at all VFM. Like night and day compared to a proper chippy ie Letham, Craigie and Marini's which is about half the price, twice the portion size and outstanding quality. Mentioned to the girl when we went to pay about the particularly dreadful chips - "Nothing wrong with them all cooked fresh" - Must have thought I was born yesterday! Not at all good VFM will definitely not return,

Resturant was very cold which on a cold night is the last thing you want. I had steak pie and piri piri fritters which were lovely but my partner had fish and he said it was dry .

Decent enough fish, chips were floppy. Good service, friendly. Good process.

It was open on the first of January! Great selection of fish and chips. I tried the Haggis fingers and it was very yummy.

Was surprised that this store was an actual fish and chips cafe rather than a takeaway store. Fish seemed fresh and chips were hot but looked frozen. Friendly staff and really cool vibe. Super modern dining room and toilets were clean enough to use but has dust and dirt in the corners of the cubicle.

The stake pie was rock solid and i could not eat it.it was a horrible experience i cant explain i horrible food but kind employees

Served Three of us a really nice fish tea in here, all cooked fresh. The white bread was stale around the crust area, but I get it that they would likely have purchased the bread in the morning, and the shop was warm inside (which was amazing) as the weather was really freezing outside. So it's easy for the bread to turn somewhat as we arrived around 7pm.. In that respect, we can only appoint 4 stars for the food, service, and restaurant were top notch and very clean. Very pleasant young girl served us..

Absolutely disgusting food. Batter on sausage and white pudding like leather we couldn't cut it. Complained to man serving but he wasn't bothered. Went to pay and I only got offered 20% off. Service was awful, very slow. Both my husband and I have had upset stomach all night, we feel awful 😞 £18 to feel ill. Portion sizes are tiny and we don't eat much. Pity help someone with big appetite. We won't be back

Fish and chips were quite good but the portion sizes are terrible especially when your paying top dollar my kid ate most of mine as well as his own and he's 10 so definitely not worth the money. Wasn't really surprised the place was empty if they rip the locals off with tiny portion sizes 🤔 would definitely not return hate been ripped off

We were in Perth for the European Curling Championships and wanted a meal after our practice session. Very happy we chose this eating place, staff were courteous and efficient,our food arrived at our table promptly.

This used to be one of the best but on our last few visits the chips gave been soggy and greasy nit good at all . The staff are still friendly and a good service but unfortunately the food has been a big let We've stopped using it now .

A great experience front the minute we walked in to the minute we left the service was perfect. The fish lunch was excellent, my wife and I both remarked on how fresh and grease free both the fish and chips were. I will definately be back.

Yes, they have battered and fried anything. But apart from the staff being super friendly, the food itself was not great. Chips soft and poorly cooked/fried. Mac & cheese was salty and definately not freshly made. After a twenty minute sit down, we smelled deep fried ourselves. The reason for this visit was the fried Mars bar. Ticked it off the bucket list. Never again.

Went on Saturday 14th Oct. Place was quiet so we got served quickly. There were 7 of us and varied on the order. My mate said that the battered pizza was very good and not greasy. Everyone seemed to enjoy what they had. My only personal gripe is that temperature of my fish and chips was not as hot as I would have hoped. That is one thing I am really fussy about is food temperature. But overall, it's a nice place, the take-out area was busy. The chap that served us was very pleasant. We might go back again, if we are back in Perth again.

Food took 45 minutes then no bread no drink daughters macaroni was disgusting no sauce server just said ok when complaint was made if I could give it 0 stars I would recomend customers service training

Our usual fish and chip takeaway was closed and so I went to Blue Lagoon for the first time – and the last time. Not only was it overpriced, the chips were disgustingly greasy, sloppy and inedible. The fish was thankfully just about OK.

Food was ok... waitress to quick to ask if you've finished & start taking your plates before you had chance to finish your food & your still chewing. Very rude. Please waite until both parties have finished & they put there plates to the side.

Fantastic food, friendly service. Was with a large party we had a sit-in meal, everyone was very pleased with the food and service. A good plus is they serve gluten-free food as well, this is one of the reason we choose to eat here.

Seriously good fish and chips, very surprised at the quality of fish and the freshness. Our order was cooked fresh and wasn’t greasy at all.

Hand full of chips, charged for a few items that never came bread and butter, no tartar sauce. Literally a hand full of chips. Given a large amount of brown salad that was never asked for. Potatoes are one of the cheapest items of food to buy, can't understand why they wouldn't give you a good amount of chips.... Yet salad is expensive and they gave you that instead.

Was over for a few days. Called in for fish suppers an burgers. Staff wer very abliging an food was amazing an didn't have 2 wait long after ordering from the menu. Keep up the good 👍🏻 work. Loved it. Yum yum yummy. 😋 👍🏻👌😀

Delicious food and magnificent service

poor service, very slow to serve, potatoes with a lot of oil, fish did not taste like anything without any seasoning, dirty bathroom, there was no extractor fan, the smell of frying was very strong

Went here today with my 2 children, food was OK, nothing to shout about for the price I paid... kids had nuggets and chips and asked for some cheese on top and I got charged £2.50 per portion of cheese on top of their chips!! Agree with previous reviews that chips could do with being cooked longer....

We went in today for a breakfast/lunch. I asked for breaded fish supper. white bread was dried. Breaded fish was good but the chips was warmish and look dead. I then requested fresh fried chips. Still I am not happy with the chips, looking pale. I won't be going back. My friend had breakfast and it doesn't look appealing at all.

Arrived at the takeaway counter last night, hoping to grab a quick snack. Instead of getting food, all we got instead was ignored by the two members of staff bungling around behind the counter. We stood right in front of them at the very front of a small queue and not even a flicker of acknowledgement, no "be with you in a moment". Nothing. So having decided to walk out after voicing my displeasure, the Chuckle Brothers continued to stand there mute and inactive. A truly dreadful advert for the company and Perth itself, rest assured, neither of us will set foot in there ever again.

Fish and chips shop in Perth, Scotland went in for a change, instead of the run of the mill take aways. Food was fresh, hot and sit in service was fast.

An absolute joke, ordered meals etc and hot drinks, brought COLD hot drinks, still waiting for meals. Tables coming in after us and getting served, they offered us take away, but had went off the place by then. If u have a spare hour or so, try it but don't hold out much hope of being served in order you arrived in restaurant. What a joke/shambles.

Cant go wrong with a simple fish n chips

first time in Perth so googled for a chippy, the Blue Lagoon came up and looked very nice from the outside, so we went there. Very busy, we ordered fish supper and single steak pie - £12.45!! Had we bought a steak pie supper and single fish, it would have been 30p cheaper??? was told steak pie aupper gets a smaller portion of chips? Anyway, waited almost 25mins for it. When we got to eat it, the fish was dry as a bone with claggy batter. The steak pie had been neuked in a deep fat frier with a sign, "Mixed Food" above it - rock solid pastry with one solitary piece of meat in it and, despite the best efforts of the thick gloopy gravy, was almost dry as a bone. Worst suppers we`ve ever had, so won`t be returning, EVER! What this lot need is an example of how a chippy should be run - I suggest Paul Fish Bar in Kirkcaldy, the best I know. On a point of hygiene, when the guy behind the counter dropped a plate into the tub of batter, he should have disposed of it as contaminated - but, as a previous customer review pointed out, her husband got a dose of food posioning after eating a supper from the Lagoon, so I`m not surprised

We only ordered takeaway so I can’t comment on the service or atmosphere. We got 2 fish suppers, onion rings and a battered sausage. The food tasted fine when we got it, on the more fried side, but wasn’t a problem with us. However my husband were pretty sick from food poisoning later that night so we will not be returning.

One of the best Fish and Chips on Earth!! Service is great and warm. I loved the curry sauce (I always do) but here it's made marvelously!!

A star for the smile of the waitress. An address to avoid. The fish and chips are not cooked even after asking for a change of plate. The meat of the hamburger is likened to sole... The fish is of questionable freshness... We were in a hurry and a table was served before us.

Very odd place, quite expensive, odd menu choices and small portions. The restaurant has a really unpleasant smell of cooking oil, it's so strong it sticks to your clothes. Fish was OK, but very thin, nice batter. £1.80 for a spoonful of peas. Plastic cups...

Was just a takeaway, fish was over cooked to the point the thinner parts were bone dry. Chips were nice though

We've been coming to this restaurant for several years now, but our visits have become less frequent. The last time we came, the standard of food was inferior and the fish was full of bones. The most recent visit will unfortunately be our last. £15+...
