An absolute favourite. Such a cool place, with its history as a fishing bothy. Riverside setting, lovely grounds to wander, cabin decor with woodburner...so cozy. Better still, is the brilliant service and the food! High quality ingedients put together really well, even the simple lunch staples are really good and presented beautifully. Coffee and cakes also great. The Specials are fantastic, so I'd highly recommend joining the facebook page "Willowgate Cafe" to see what delights they've cooked up week to week. Also, not just dog friendly, but dogs made to feel welcome. Can't rate highly enough really...

Lovely peaceful spot outside Perth. I heard a lot of good things about this cafe and I decided to go and try it myself. The place is lovely with a nice view and very quiet. Inside, the cafe has a very warm atmosphere. Staff was professional and very friendly. They made us feel more like friends visiting rather than just customers. Food was supreme. Presentation of the dish very high level despite is a cafe and the quality of the ingredients was amazing. You can see there is a lot of dedication from kitchen staff. I loved the taste of the coffee as well. Well done guys. Highly recomended and I will be back.

Nice day for a walk, so decided to walk to willowgate for lunch with my friend, Arrived at 13:45 and ask the staff for a table, An unfriendly man attend to us and immediately made us feel unwelcomed by the way he talked to us. "Quickly because we are closing" was his exact words. So we had a quick look at the menu and decided to order right there and then by the window without going to our table yet and made us pay straight away. While we were having our food, five people arrived, and we thought they will be refused because they are closing but to our surprised they were seated at the table, given the menu and was still there after we left. We are asian by the way. Food presentation was good but not going back. This is my second time to the place and the same staff served us the first time, he was grumpy then but I thought I gave it a second chance because I love the location but never again.

We were on our way to Blairgowrie for a family celebration and we happened to come across this absolute gem! Initially we turned to the left and ended up at the activity centre but this does help when getting to the Cafe as it is a tight turn if you try to go right. As you drive into the carpark it is right under the M90 but it is right by the river which is a beautiful location. The Cafe was certainly not what we were expecting it was so much better. There is an amazing array of home baking and the cheese and fruit scones were huge although we didn't have one. We opted for the full breakfast which was £14.95 and includes toast and your choice of tea or coffee. Wow, it came with almost 2 of everything. So if you are hungry, go for it or if you fancy order one and share it! The Cafe was very nicely decorated and I am big one for checking out the toilets before I eat but these were immaculate. The staff were friendly and attentive and a big shout out to Tom who was genuinely friendly and chatty!!! Please do go and check this place out, if we are passing that way again we will defo be back!

We were excited to visit Willowgate Cafe after researching the best cafes in Perth, but our experience fell short. We arrived at 2:35 pm, just five minutes after lunch service ended, and were limited to coffee, cake, or soup. The waiter’s rude comment to a colleague about telling us lunch was over was unprofessional. The soup we ordered was delicious, but the service from the waiter was disappointing. Despite the nice views, we were seated in a corner next to the toilet instead of by the window. This cafe has so much potential, but the poor service left us dissatisfied.

A couple of weeks ago, I visited the Willowgate Cafe with my partner and our golden retriever. Although our dog was allowed inside, he is nervous and preferred to stay outside. The cafe stocks doggy ice cream so he was delighted with that treat. My partner and I had toasties which were brilliant. So tasty and served with fresh salad. Delicious! I returned to the Willowgate Cafe the next day with my mum. She agreed that it is a fantastic place! Such lovely staff and fantastic food. Her cappuccino was a work of art. We took a scone home for my partner. He declared it the best scone he has ever had. We love the Willowgate Cafe and hope to return very soon!

Went here today with my daughter who had been with her partner and their golden retriever earlier in the week. The weather was beautiful and the setting by the Tay perfect. We ordered toasties with two different fillings. They came with a lovely fresh salad and coleslaw in separate little dishes and were absolutely delicious. We could have had them with soup instead of salad but we opted for the salad. I then chose to have a cappuccino and my daughter chose tea although when she saw my cappuccino she was amazed by the presentation of it. She would love to like coffee and did enjoy a teaspoon of the milky topping. The place was spotless and the staff all extremely friendly and kind. I asked for a scone to take home to my daughter 's partner and it came in a little box with choice of jam and butter. He thought the Scone was amazing and it did look really inviting. I will be going back at some point during her holidays and can honestly say that this is my new favourite spot for lunch. I would give it 11 out of ten!!!oh and I forgot to say that we were given ice cold water in a glass flask with a slice of orange in it . They also do doggy ice cream which my daughter's dog had on her previous visit and he loved it!!! Scoffed the lot. 😋 Dogs are welcome inside and outside. Plenty seating outside and inside and toilets are available too. Very clean.

Beautiful setting, good food but omg the staff attitude towards customers is out of order, if they don’t want to be there they should leave. We had half an order taken for 7 people and the waiter just left not sure if he ran out of paper but he never returned and I ended going to the counter to add the rest. No smiles, please or thank yous just unbelievably rude. Such a shame as this place could be a little gem.

We went for a family breakfast! 5 adults and 2 children under 5. Two different tables and asked for a separate order for both tables as we were ordering from different households! Well, that was a disaster, you would have thought we asked for a free breakfast! If you can’t be kind, find another job where you’re not dealing with public! On entering- we didn’t feel welcomed! There were NO vegetarian options or a children’s menu. The menu was perfect if you weren’t a vegetarian or child. Received our food, no smiles or anyone to ask if everything was okay, Maybe they couldn’t see us for cooking smoke. It was thick and we couldn’t get rid of the smell on our clothes! We felt the staff were very inhospitable with their manner. In our families opinion, we wouldn’t go back for the reasons pointed out.

Not the easiest of cafes to get to in terms of the drive in - I'd probably avoid during peak holiday times as getting in/out can be awkward due to the road set up (nothing can be done about that though). The actual café itself is nice and cosy - feels like a lodge. and is in a lovely setting, looking out onto the River Tay on one side and fishing pools on the other.

I came here with my friend and my well behaved Rottweiler, the food was delicious and we didn’t wait long for service. Unfortunately my dog was spooked by a young boy who was running around the cafe unattended, my dog jumped and frightened the boy, however the staff were amazing and reassured us that the child was being disruptive and the family complained that dogs should not be allowed in the cafe. The staff were wonderful and will welcome well behaved dogs. My dog had lots of fuss from other customers who just adored her. This will be a regular visit from us. Amazing. Thank you 💚

We stumbled on this eating place by accident. We were travelling up north and got lost. Gagging for a cuppa, I'm gluten intolerant so lots of times I expect to have a greatly reduced choice. But, what a fabulous restaurant this is. Lots of cakes...

Stopped by for a bacon roll and coffee after a dog walk along the Tay. Service and quality of food are consistently top class, and prices are reasonable too. Views also are beautiful with plenty wildlife to watch too. Definitely worth a visit

I organised to have my hen day at the adjoining activity centre which, as an aside, I'd thoroughly recommend. We then had a late lunch afterwards at the cafe. Rhona and her team put on a lovely spread for us and didn't rush us out...

a brief visit as I was going cruising on the river. I stopped in for a coffee. Unfortunately it was packed out with a private function, but was given a corner to relish my choice. I will return on a better day ,but it looks...

We needed to buy some last-minute desserts for vegan visitors. The shop had closed but the owner saw us and opened up the shop for us. We told him what we needed and he took us through everything that could fit, not rushing us in the slightest. The shop had a great range of vegan desserts and we managed to get exactly what we wanted. Very friendly and personal customer service. We will definitely be back.

I loved this cafe. I went by myself but it felf so welcoming. There was a good choice of food and it was served really quickly. It was the best cup of tea that I have had out for quite some time. The owner took time to speak to people and was really friendly. There were water bowls for all the dogs and it was really clean. I'd definitely go again.

Stopped off at the outside seating for lunch. The ham and cheese ultimate toastie with the chilli jam was excellent served with crisps and side salad. Egg mayonnaise sandwich was equally good. Good sized cappuccino coffees.

Lovely location, good service and great food. We had bacon rolls, an egg roll, followed by scones & cakes, all were excellent. Will definitely be back on our next visit to the area.

Excellent meal with great service from the waiting staff. Unfortunately the barman, who did not seem to want to serve me when I wanted to pay for the meal, let down the overall service .
