Coffee was lukewarm,the systems were down and it took one of our group 30 minutes I n a queue to pay.

In for hot drinks before the film. £2.50 for a cup of tea, the same price as an Americano. With hot chocolate only £2.95. Tables were dirty as was the teaspoon.

Encantadora cafetería en el corazón de Perth, a la que se puede acceder desde la calle. John's Shopping Center o de King Edward Street. Luminoso y acogedor. También se cumplieron todas las pautas para covid 19. Acceso para personas con problemas de movilidad pero que actualmente no tienen acceso a los baños. Los menús están en cada mesa para revisar y una buena selección de platos fríos y calientes, pasteles, galletas y bebidas para elegir. Simplemente ordene con el encantador personal lo que quiera, pague y ellos lo traerán a su mesa por usted. ¡El personal es un crédito para la cafetería! Pedimos cafés y pasteles y no nos decepcionó. ¡Amo mi café y este fue uno de los mejores que he probado en mucho tiempo! ¡El pastel de terciopelo rojo estaba delicioso! ! ! ! Al igual que la rodaja de naranja con chocolate. Definitivamente regresaría de nuevo y lo recomiendo encarecidamente!

The staff make it feel like home

En un día lluvioso que acababa de tomar el autobús desde Glasgow, necesitaba esperar un autobús a Birnam, parada de autobús justo enfrente de este café. Parecía ser un lugar concurrido como conectado a un cine, moderno pero pintoresco al mismo tiempo. Pude sentarme con mi café y relajarme sin sentirme apurada, un buen lugar al que volveré para quedarme en Perth e ir a ver una película

Great place for coffee next the Cinema ideal place to get out of the cold. Perfect place for the family and the big kids . Will recommend to my friends if in town for teas and coffees.

Amazing seats and the food was great

Always make sure I've time for one of their great hot chocolates here before or after the film - being a cinema cafe sometimes a bit of a queue but that goes down quickly and every customer is treated well by the friendly happy professional staff. Film decor/old video tapes to make up the counter/ booths and tall chair seating - Paninis also tasty - Thanks to all staff for the welcoming atmosphere.

Nice wee place to chill out before during or after your film. Alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. Cakes, scone and ice cream. Perfect way to start a film.

I'm not usually one to write reviews, but me and my boyfriend had not been to the cinema in a while and decided to treat ourselves, as well as opt for some milkshakes to take in with us. We were running a bit late, but the member of staff serving us, Michael; was very quick, polite and the milkshakes were unbelievably good ! At times I feel like milkshakes from cafe's can be very liquid and not have enough flavor, but these were thick, full of ice cream and delicious. It was worth the cost to us and me and my boyfriend will definitely be popping in again just for the milkshakes alone.

Unclean tables, slow service. Flies everywhere. Constantly having to swat them away from the mediocre food. Save your money and get a snack somewhere else nearby.

Habiendo roto mi pato de no conseguir al cine en un par de años el otro mes me encontré en Perth cine el viernes último.Puedo oler café fresco, así que decidí tomar una taza del café había sido buena la última vez.Las paredes se apreciaba perfectamente con postes de películas antiguas y siendo un poco un aficionado de la película fue agradable a elegir películas me gustó, y se ve sacudida por que pasaron por las grietas de mi memoria. Banana cake and chocolate brownies are good if a touch dry but the toffee popcorn milkshake was a real hit with a 6 year old! Lunchtime paninis are good too - perhaps a bit of salad on the side to finish off the plate?

fantastic ! fresh lively 80s/American decor which is cleverly designed from the counter hand made from recycled video tapes to the walls papered in movie posters. comfy booths which are great when visiting in large groups.not really a hot food cafe more of a tea, coffee or hot chocolate place . However they do amazing soup with good portion sizes.They do delicious milkshakes and cakes. yiu can purchase a bottle of wine to take into the cinema with you aswell and as they are open until late if you work shifts or are out late you can go there for a coffee with a friend late at night !

Just stopped for a good coffee which is not always easy to find in Scotland. And a good coffee it was indeed! Nice place with theatre atmosphere, cool music. Liked it!

Me encanta este lugar. Gran café a buenos precios y personal realmente agradable, especialmente el chico que parece que él bebidas y café todo el día es hyper!! Es una pena que sólo tienen un enchufe enchufe que es casi siempre en uso por un gerente de la zona iv así que tuvimos que dejar de usar el café de la ciudad cuando tengo trabajo que hacer :(

Han sido que quiera probar este lugar para las edades, ya que soy un habitual en el cine que asiste a cada semana, normalmente dos veces para ver una película. Sin embargo, tengo que decir que me decepcionó un poco. Pedí mi bebida caliente y tomó un asiento. Cuando llegamos, estaba tibio en el mejor de los casos y habíamos llevado a alrededor de 10 minutos para ser atendidos. Went with my four year old before cinema! Lovely decor and staff were fantastic! I had a lovely drink and my daughter milkshake. Drinks a bit pricey but a great little place to go!

I took my daughter and 4 of her friends to Perth Playhouse and rather than watch the film I chose to spend the hour and a half in the City Cafe. Duncan who was on duty was excellent he made me feel very at ease and not awkward at all despite being on my own he was also very knowledgeable and took time to help me make my choice. I didn't feel like I had to rush out nor was I made to feel bad for staying nearly 2 hours in fact I could have stayed all day as relaxed as I was made to feel. The decor is excellent and comfy the free wifi was an added bonus. Well deserved 5 stars for Duncan alone

Visiting Perth from San Francisco, I stumbled upon this treasure one night when going to the Playhouse Cinema. The City Cafe is conveniently situated right next to it- just take a few steps away from the box office and you are there! I was greeted by Duncan, a fab tattooed chap, who is super friendly. The great thing about this cafe is that you can take your tasty food into the cinema with you! I grabbed an apple and brie toastie, chips and beer and headed back into the cinema to see my flick. The next morning, I headed back City Cafe for a coffee (excellent) and another apple and brie toastie (so good). Greeted again by the fab Duncan and the superior Billy. The atmos is friendly, comfortable and relaxed, plus the wifi is strong. Coming from San Francisco, it reminds me of the type of cafes there. I highly recommend this cafe.

I hadn't heard much about the cafe until I was going to the cinema and was pleasantly surprised when I had a look. It has an amazing vibe and looks very unique to any cafe I've been in recently. The service was wonderful, I was greeted immediately and made to feel like a friend not just another customer. Melissa made sure I enjoyed my time from the minute I arrived until I left. I am a big coffee drinker and have been looking for somewhere that stays open late and will definitely be coming back to try all their coffees!!!

Fantastic new cafe - delicious coffee blends, exciting milkshakes (read; alcohol contained) and yummy food.My partner and i have always bemoaned the lack of a cafe culture in Perth at night and the City Cafe has solved our problem.Great vibe, we can chill in a booth for hours.Staff are brilliant - Melissa is happy and friendly; Duncan is welcoming and extremely knowledgable about all the coffee blends.This will be our regular place to be and we are telling everyone we know to come too.

Visited with our son who was excited to visit! Amazing choice of milkshakes and 'hard' milkshakes (for 18+ only!) - superb! A MUST is the chocolate brownie - superb!!! Coffee fantastic too and a good wee selection of sandwiches & salads. Old movie posters on the wall - could sit for hours and look at them all!! Staff were so friendly and welcoming and great with kids. A fab place to relax or grab a drink to take out. Can't wait to go back!!
