Willows Coffee Shop & Restaurant in Perth & Kinross

Service was polite and friendly. Our order was taken quickly, almost too quickly as we hadn't decided the first time they came over! The BLT with tomato marmalade rather than actual tomatoes was an interesting twist and a blooming lovely triumph of a dish. The Eggs Benny was delicious, real top quality bacon and beautifully orange yoked eggs. The only distraction was the random lettuce thrown on top. I am all for a garnish, even the horribly overused leaves of rocket, that seem to be on everything these days, at least makes sense. This one didn't, but was easily swept aside to uncover the delight that was below. Convenient payment via QR code may not suit everyone, especially if you're still rocking a Nokia 3310, but paying the staff is still an option, so fear not. A decent brunch, good value for money, right in the centre of Perth looking out at the Kirk. Well worth a visit

Love this place, very friendly efficient staff. Been a few times now and I’m never disappointed. Good food, good menu, light lunches to main meals, or cuppy and a scone/cake what ever takes your fancy. Always look forward to a wee visit for lunch when in town And it’s dog friendly 🐶

Being told that this Cafe would be the ideal place to grab a light lunch, how sad was the experience.... words fail me in the whole experience staff were that can be at best described as RUDE .... as for the so called freshly baked scones we were served more like a rock scone.... totally disgusting

Staff were just so unbelievably rude. Came over to the table “what do you want”, not an exaggeration. No smiles, snatching dockets off me after it came out under my sandwich…(not very hygienic might I add) Will not be coming back

Visited on Saturday 25th November for breakfast and could not praise this high enough. Good was excellent, price very very reasonable and you get loads included. The service was the best and made our visit so much more enjoyable. Keep it up 👍

My friends and me visited on the 2nd November for lunch, they advertise chicken liver pate on line but was told when I wanted to order that they hadn’t done this for a long time. Also no non alcohol beer was available, much to the disappointment of my friend who was driving. They also advertise Mackies ice cream is served there, well as a fan of Mackies ice cream and buy it often (vanilla) I ordered this only to be presented with a yellow coloured ice cream Mackies vanilla is white ? It also hada lot of ice crystals in it not nice. The soup was really nice and the bread with it was lovely, the girl who served us was friendly, but we won’t be back.

The best afternoon tea in Perth! £13.95 per person and such large generous portions. Really nice atmosphere, service, value for money and food! 💗

Would love to review the food at Willows but unfortunately, after trying to get a table for lunch on twelve occasions over the past months, we have not been able to get a table inside. The reason? We have a dog. There are 3 or 4 tables inside which are "dog friendly" but on every occasion these tables were taken by people with no dogs, even though there were many vacant tables elsewhere. If these tables are so popular could the "dog section" be located elsewhere in the restaurant? Or else reserve the present " dog friendly" tables for dog owners ? I'm sure there are other dog owners like us who do not wish to sit outside in all weathers.

I ordered Couscous, which was very salty. My friend ordered burger and chips, no sauce, cucumber or salad dressing. The waitress came back just to check she had taken the order properly and when it arrived it was a burger on a bun and chips with no salad. We have been several times and they never get it right. I don't blame the waitress she was great it's obviously a problem with the kitchen. It was a different waitress that brought the food to the table so the mistake wasn't picked up. To be honest they never get it right and today we couldn't be bothered even complaining. 😕

Called in for a bite on a trip to Perth for my YouTube channel More Than Just a Cleaner. Very friendly, helpful staff who gave us a water bowl for the pooch. I had the scrambled egg/smoked salmon baguette and Oldest Friend had the bacon baguette. All good 👍

A lovely little coffee shop and restaurant where you can sit inside or out. Table service; the staff are lovely and friendly when taking your order. Dogs are welcome outside too. The food is wonderful, if slightly expensive but certainly filling. We spent a quiet hour watching people jostle with the door which has a mind of its own. 😁

The service was great but the food was very plain. We had The mac and cheese and caprese ciabatta sandwitch which both had little to no flavor and left us very disappointed. For 30 pounds we didn't feel like it was worth it.

We had a wonderful sunny high tea at willows today. The scones were perfect, light and fluffy, pure joy. If we come back to Perth, we’ll come for more of the same!

I have always gone to Willows when in Perth for more than twenty years. I planned to go for lunch as it was 11:50 . I sat down and was told I had to wait until 12 to get lunch so I ordered a BLT from the breakfast menu although I’m not sure that 10 minutes would have made much difference to let me order from lunch menu! My sandwich ciabatta came and it looked lovely , bacon crispy as I had requested ! I bit into it and nearly broke my teeth the ciabatta was rock hard and there was tons of some kind of relish on which was not very nice! I didn't want to risk a trip to the dentist so I just ate the bacon from the sandwich and left the rest! As I was hungry I ordered a scone and I told the waitress that I couldn't eat my sandwich as it was rock hard! She said I wouldn't have to pay for the scone which was nice but really I shouldn't have had to pay for the BLT! I will find somewhere else to eat in future! Shame as I always loved Willows

Attended the other weekend with a few friends for breakfast, worked my way though the cocktails list, great value for money, food was lovely, service was faultless will be going again soon. Thank you!

You won’t get better anywhere - ingredients were spot on - top quality meats all well cooked - and beautiful loose leaf tea. staff lovely too.

The food and service here is fantastic. Have been going for years and is my favourite place when I’m in Perth. Every member of staff is friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious. If you’re looking for a great place to eat in Perth look no further than here.

Normally it's really quite good. We have been long term customers. However, today, we were served by, I think the supervisor. She wore a green top, dressed differently from the others. I observed, she was a dour individual, who gave me a look of disbelief and annoyance, as if to say, "for goodness sake!" when I asked for some butter. I had ordered a bacon roll, and only one half had been buttered. I observed, she never smiled during my visit. Not a nice person to represent Willows. The rest of the staff were fine.

We had a blip in the service. It would have made all the difference if we had been kept informed

Popped in today for lunch, food spot on as usual. Always a great atmosphere in Willows, with friendly and helpful staff. Tables, toilets and environment all notocibly clean too so a big thumbs up from us.

Cute little spot! We all got the stuffed croissant with bacon and cheddar. It was very tasty. Coffees were good too!

Wow! Just treated my Mum to afternoon tea at Willows and everything was delightful. A lovely atmosphere, friendly professional staff (especially Patricia who went out of her way to help us). The food was all perfect from the delicious savoury treats, soft and tasty sandwiches and the super tasty cakes & scones. All served with Suki tea! Perfect! Would definitely return and highly recommend the afternoon tea.

Arranged a surprise 70th afternoon tea with wine and drinks for 19. Pat was a fabulous and arranged it just how i had discussed and made the table look fab. The food was amazing and every member of staff was lovely and so helpful and cheerful. Thankyou all so so much .

Food 1st class as always with good attentive service

We went for afternoon tea here at 3:30pm and managed to finish it all after 4:30pm. Go hungry as there is a plate of sandwiches, a plate of cheese, pickle, oatcakes, with sausage rolls, mini quiches and then three plates of cakes and treats with tea or coffee. Even had a refill of coffee as it helped to wash it all down. We went with a voucher and had glasses of Prosecco too. The food was great and the service too. Enjoyed it all. You can book up to 4pm but not sure you could get it all eaten before closing time. They do offer takeaway boxes for leftovers. Take it with you if you can. Lots of tables inside and extra outside if it is warm.

Staff are so helpful. We had someone in our group with food intolerances and staff got us the full ingredients for the meal. Always busy because its great.

The place is buzzing with energy and full of people. All tables are full. It is a good sign. Everything came pretty fast and well served. There are lots of serving staff and they are very efficient. The desserts are of a very good quality. Specifically, the flavour of the Brownie is very well accomplished. What I wonder is if the burger is bought or homemade. I think it’s the second. There’s nothing wrong with it because it was good quality but if they made them themselves the taste would highly improve

I love this restaurant and I have a real soft spot for it as when my hubby and were married 43 years ago Willie White of Willows arranged our wedding. He was brilliant and we supported him when he opened this restaurant years ago. A great place which is always very busy and to me that speaks for itself 👍👌👏

We arrived just after midday on a very busy saturday, we were third in the queue waiting to be seated. Within a minute a welcoming member of staff informed us tables were being cleared and she would find us a seat shortly. Couple of minutes later shown to our table. Order came within 10 mins and the food was of the highest quality. An excellently run local establishment, quality food, good value, brilliant staff.

Great for lunch and great anytime

Visited for lunch, I had a ham and cheese panini. It came with beautiful fresh salad and coleslaw. My boyfriend had a GF Egg Mayo roll which was so nice he ordered another. We then had desserts, I had rocky road and he had meringue. Both were beautiful. They also allowed our dog inside too which was kind as it was raining outside. Would highly recommend!

Located in the town centre, outdoor seating with a large seating area inside. Went for afternoon tea, looked fantastic, unfortunately I found the sandwiches a bit, think this was because it was thick bread. The terrine, cheese and onion relish was amazing. Thankfully, we got a doggy bag to take the cakes we couldn't manage. UPDATE - was invited for afternoon tea by a friend and delighted to say the sandwiches were excellent. Nice fresh bread, much better than the wee rolls.

Stopped for carrot cake and coffee. First time I’ve had carrot cake with actual cream cheese instead of horrible buttercream. I will come back especially for it again.

Lovely outdoor as well as indoor settings with attentive wait staff on-the-go at the entrance, ready to serve customers. We ordered a breakfast platter and an eggs Benedict together with a large Bailey's latte. The black pudding is particularly tasty and well seasoned because I havd had pudding that was way too salty to my liking before. We also surprised to find out that Willows is also selling some popular pastries (coffee tower, yum yum etc) from the famous Fisher & Donaldson. Overall great breakfast experience 😋 and is definitely worth a visit!

We had an unplanned stop here for some brunch. The place seemed quite chaotic but it was busy so we took a chance. We were too early for the lunch menu so had to order from the breakfast menu which was tiny. I tried for one of their filled croissants only to be told they'd run out. Pretty poor for a Saturday. I ended up with an egg breakfast roll. I wish I'd taken a picture so you could see how sad it was. An unbuttered roll with a single egg for £5! What a bargain eh. Left there still very hungry.

Visited for brunch, its a busy popular place. Friendly welcoming staff, ordered a coffee and a bottle of beer. a sweet chilli chicken toasted panini with salad garnish and home made coleslaw, and a bacon and egg filled roll. We enjoyed our visit

Fantastic cafe with very friendly & swift staff. The food/hot drinks are slightly pricey, but *well* worth the price.

Nice food and not too expensive considering the quality. Staff very nice and accommodating for families. Menu is basic but the quality is great. We usually have to wait for up to 15 mins for a table at peak lunch time but proves its popular and good quality so happy to wait.

A mediocre coffee. £5 for a small croissant with a slither of bland cheese! Asked how they could justify this..no answer. Really disappointed. Drinks arrived after the food. Will definitely not be returning. Just wished I’d taken a photo. There are way better coffee shops in Perth.

Lovely place for a coffee and fruit scone

Visited 8th Feb 2022.A real let down.Decided to visit instead of the usual large food chain.Huge mistake.Mac and Cheese was awful.No taste of cheese at all.Was a pasta and white sauce and dry.Steak pie was like eating an oxo cube.I don't usually leave reviews but because of the prices and expectation I had to.I personally,or my friend would not visit again

Friend and I went for afternoon tea, with Prosseco, absolutely fantastic. Never had an afternoon tea like it. Loved the saucage roll, oatcake and cheese, red onion and terrine. ONE VERY TINY COMMENT, 2 oatcakes each is better, we cheekily asked for another each and were cheerfully given them. We got 3 mini rolls each and chose our own fillings from a choice of about 8/9, never had that before. I didn't manage any cakes, but pal had brownie n crannach n loved them both. I brought home all the other cakes, scones, clotted cream and jam, waitress happily provided a box for it all. Definitely recommend to anyone who likes a special treat, if your disappointed it's on you, cos this is well worth the money. Go experience it.

One of best Scottish cafe. I trying to be for breakfast and lunch, as I vegetarian I like what I ordered it was very delicious. Even the plane croissant is tasty. Good service.

Really slow service. Booked 3pm afternoon tea. Waited 20 mins for tea/ coffee, a further 10+ before food arrived, by which time coffee was drunk...tea, cooking rapidly. Simply not good service. Had to ask if there was a problem about our food, since it was taking so, so long. When it arrived, it was very pleasant. However the interior of the milk jug - seen when pouring- looked like it needed a through wash, that congealed old milk look on jug interior curves.... Very disappointing. I will not be returning.

If you like to just sit in an eatery and be ignored while customers who sat at their tables after you get served, then this is the place for you.

Pleasant environment and staff were efficient. I ordered the special ciabatta with chicken and bacon, alongside a flat white coffee. The ciabatta seemed a little on the small side to me, though in observing the other clientele, I was probably a little out of place to be honest - that includes my appetite. In my opinion Willows seems more geared towards 'ladies who lunch', high teas maybe, or cocktails before the theatre. I'm more of a messy plate of dirty fries with a burger kind of guy... if you know what I mean, and I certainly don't mean any disrespect with that observation. The ciabatta was good and flavourful. The salad was very good and varied, the dressing was nice and rich too. I enjoyed the coffee and the final price, between 10 and 11 pounds was reasonable and expected. Accessibility wise, there is seating outdoors but there are steps inside to reach other parts of the restaurant. The chairs and tables may turn into obstacles for wheelchair users, particularly solo users, because they are quite close together. I'd recommend booking ahead to help the staff prepare a good table if you have any accessibility requirements. Personally, I did feel a little out of place at Willows, but that was more of an observation than any true feeling of discomfort. I will keep Willows in mind if I go to lunch with a girl I want to impress, for example, and I'd definitely recommend it for anyone wanting afternoon coffee, cakes, or a cocktail before the theatre etc. 👍

Lovely food, fast service and great staff

Good service good food and a good location, nothing to sing home about but an all round good experience. If you're in the area this is a good eat! It looks like they may also do a brunch menu with cocktails etc. But we visited solely for a quick breakfast We dropped a few of the items off of the Scottish breakfast, it would have been nice to have been offered replacements perhaps for us fussy English who are too scared to eat black pudding or haggis!

Service was fast and friendly but the food was a little bit disappointing for the price. £10 for a pizza and £8 for a sandwich of only average quality. Came to £40 with drinks for 3 which was a bit expensive for what it was. Better pizza from pizza express and better sandwiches from M&S.
